i was skeptical too, one has to realize that running a script for a bitcoin wallet and adding a litecoin one only takes an extra what? 10 minutes to set up. it is actually good to have two or more competing ones

I'm not hot on the abbreviation being the same. I think if you really believe in yourself, be you a company or whatever, you don't have to piggyback on the success of others. Do your own thing and let the people come to you for your own merits.
But hey, its a minor thing I think in the overall scheme of things.

you can't arbitrage unless you have money on both the exchanges in tandem.
you can move btc between the exchanges but cash is impossible. now if ltc come to gox and the other big exchanges..........
as of today though i don't think many people have cash sitting at all the exchanges. could be wrong though
and all it really has to do is change sentiment and expectations. that's the only thing that prices are even based on - nothing else at the moment
