Hacker News is like obsessed with bitcoin. But I would like until ten dollars before HN and slashdot get ahold of the parity news. HN has sooooo many BTC haters, for what the site is supposed to be they're really closed minded. I've been there pretty much from the start, I was there for the start of reddit too and don't really bother with that anymore.

As title, plenty of trading going on. DISHWARA, UBX, and our latest asset SIN. All three have had great success in their listings so far (although DISHWARA & SIN have yet to sell all their issued shares). Check out the trading history. http://twitter.com/#!/GLBSE

Just like the smallest seed, bitcoinweekly started off as a pdf then a crappy drupal site, with a few articles, and look at it now, how has it grown.
Good job kiba.

Tawsix,
You are very anonymous. What is your name, address, and phone number? Do you have a website, an email address that isn't a gmail, hotmail or similar? Have you participated in other online communities? If so where can we find contributions that you are especially proud of having contributed or people that have worked with you before?
I don't suppose you would mind putting up a video of yourself where you show us the building and talk a bit about how you were planning to arrange the rigs? Serious entrepreneurs wouldn't mind giving out such information. If I asked people I didn't know for $60,000, I know I would be overloading them with every kind of information that would make my pitch more credible and reduce their objections.
Best regards, Casper
Being anonymous isn't exactly a problem in itself as long as the persona he's using has a reputation attached to it.

I'd say day or two, and we can include some of the new developments in the post such as the CIA's interest, the new stock market, Ubitex exchange, Bitdrop delivery service (actually there's nothing here for this one yet). And the growth in services available as well as general increase in trade.

Profit pay out through glbse. It will be in your balance & you withdraw when you want. In website glbse.com you can't do much, just watch ticker.
First you must register. Its same like registering with username & password with other sites, but with some different. Instead of username it gives a random 64 character username, which you don't have to remember & can't. It also ask you enter passphrase, which is like password, so enter strong one which u MUST remember, then it ask to enter it again. Thats it, you got registered.
Actually your username stored in a file .blackmarket3.rsa in the folder C:\Users\"Yourusername" This .blackmarket3.rsa is the very important file, so take 1 or 2 back ups to a safe place.
Actually, our server does not have anyones password, we don't use passwords. You are asked for a password because .blackmarket3.rsa is encrypted with AES(256 I think), this file is actually your private key, which is needed to sign your orders, and therefor you must provide your password to decrypt it (on your computer, not our server). Our server just has a copy of your public key, and we use this to verify any orders from you. You're user id is only needed if you are getting someone to transfer shares to you, so you don't need to remember it. You user id is actually a sha256 hash of your public key. Yes .blackmarket3.rsa is very important, lose this file and you lose everything in your account as that is the only method you can prove ownership. fabianhjr, you do need to use glbse to buy shares, a much easier method of getting set up is here. http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7912.msg117808

We wont so much be doing an IPO, we've already set up and have our own shareholers.
What we will be doing is using our exchange to give possetion of shares to our shareholder, also making it easy for us to manage voting.
So although we won't be selling shares to the public (as a company), our members (current shareholder) will be able to sell their shares whenever they like.

why does SIN have 2 blocks of 4999 shr @ .75 btc up on the board? It should be noted that when someone places an order to buy or sell it's posted to twitter. But when that order is cancelled nothing is posted to twitter. The reason for this is to allow people to see the activity on the exchange without cluttering it up too much. In the future when there is more activity then it might only list trades.

I am too old to learn these new tricks. I can't make heads or tails of the stock trading site, and I don't think that I could use it at work anyway.
Anyone willing to be a broker?
The command line app for this is just to get started and let anyone who really wants to trade do so, we're working on a web interface that needs no install.

With regards the client, I'm adding the final pieces of functionality to the command line client and then begining work on an easy to use, no install web client.
So a nice easy to use web interface is on the way. A little patience please though.
what methods of funding are available ? how can i get money there? Well, since it's the GLobal Bitcoin Stock Exchange (GLBSE, or Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Sex Exchange if you want), the funding is with bitcoin, and you get it there by installing the client, and sending bitcoin to your account. See here for more http://glbse.com

I'll come out and say it: Are you guys comfortable with an entrepreneur activist with a major anti corporate agenda? I hangout with Anonymous, Telecomix, USUncut, etc. And I serve that 'market'. There's a lot I am self motivated to do. If my work pays my bills and allows me to build new Internets, turf new conquerors, and generally make it easy for people to help themselves I will do a lot without much incentive. Peace of mind is a great motivator.
Right now helping Alabama and Tennessee using bitcoin is a huge priority.
Is that something people are willing to support?
I'm sorry, are you asking are we(GLBSE) comfortable allowing the above mentioned list on our exchange? The answer is yes, right now were only starting and in the open. But our next step after a web client is to move to cypherspace (accesible only through proxies). We only dont allow fraudulent listings, those that are solely meant for ripping off investors. For example, one of the things that I expect this exchange to be used for is futures contracts (farmer joe will pay X kg of beans on such and such a date to the owner of this contract), and one kind of futures contract that is not permitted on normal exchanges are those for drugs crops (Canabis, Cocaine etc.).

GLBSE is UP, sorry about that, something I was doing had choked the server (it actually was up but had frozen). Everything is working, go ahead and go crazy with it. Here is the asset details for those interested in having a look. http://dev.glbse.com/cgi-bin/asset?id=4813709653f9d4b4060d045fb1ebef1ef1a1895cb585d076c9553955e1005399.xmlView source if you can't see normal xml. Also folks, don't forget to check out the trustworthyness of the issuer, and whether the gpg public key in the asset contract is able to verify the asset clearsignature. These are up for sale.
