2541  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Considers Clemency For Ross Ulbricht on: December 16, 2020, 07:36:41 AM
Ross Ulbricht shouldn't be serving a life sentence, but he does deserve some time. Dude is also very weird, but you can't charge him for that.

https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/crime/bs-md-ci-silk-road-agents-charged-20150330-story.html

Saw this article today, apparently some federal agents tried to extort him for some BTC, and this eventually led Ross to try to set up a hit man for hire. I read his wiki and if I recall correctly there wasn't enough evidence to charge him for the hit man spiel, so he is serving life for setting up Silk Road and probably some other related charges.

I'd rather see Snowden get pardoned tbh. Snowden's crimes were a greater contribution than ordering meth online.
2542  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Trump vs Biden] Free Debate Thread, Untainted by Mainstream Propaganda on: December 16, 2020, 06:32:09 AM
Trump tweeted that 92% of Republicans think the election was rigged...

Depending on the definition of "rigged", he might be right. If you include media bias/interference a part of the word rigged, the number sounds believable.

I think a better polling question would be something related to the amount of voter fraud. Something like - "Do you believe there was enough voter fraud present to overturn the election results". The percentage would probably drop considerably.

2543  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Parallel electors chosen and submitted by SEVEN states on: December 16, 2020, 02:49:49 AM
Is this part of that Nevada story where some GOP electors casted their votes for Trump instead of Biden, except for the inconvenient fact that the electors did not cast their votes legally, (hence all for show), and Biden ended up taking the 4 electoral votes for Nevada? Either way, I look forward to this going no where.
2544  Other / Politics & Society / Re: An american Civil War is invitable here is why on: December 15, 2020, 01:04:18 AM
I would not be surprised to see the US split into two countries in the near future. The US has become too polarized. I think this would be true even if Trump had won, with Blue states threatening to leave the union. There was even discussion of this in the Biden camp prior to the election while strategizing what to do if the election was close in Trumps favor.

This is what you get after 8 years of Obama being as polarizing as he was, and Democrats claiming for years that Trump was not a legitimate president

The US won't split into two, I actually think things will calm down with Joe Biden as president because the left feels that orange hitler is gone so most of their made up problems go away.

Then in 2024 or 2028 and a Republican might be elected, it will be doom and gloom from the left, claiming the next Hitler is in power.

A bunch of estrogen pumping antifa members and hillbillies from the south aren't capable of doing much, thankfully.

https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/12/14/us/joe-biden-trump#biden-tops-270-votes-in-the-electoral-college-affirming-his-presidential-victory

So it's "technically" official but if we're being honest, 99% of people knew this was going to happen the morning of November 4th when Joe Biden's mail in ballot scam pushed his senile ass over the finish line, just barely. The lawsuits were a bit ridiculous and I think the extreme far right Trump base with the IQ of a peanut legitimately believes there was magnitudes of fraud that stretch hundreds of thousands of votes. Just isn't enough evidence. On the other hand, it was hilarious watching the far left (and the media) have a melt down over "democracy dying" when Trump literally followed the law in contesting the results by letting the legal process play out. For some weird reason, democrats seem more concerned about Trump and contested election results more so than a rabid media that managed to fool Americans that Trump is responsible for COVID, that he said it was a hoax, that he's a racist, that a vaccine at the end of the year was impossible, so on. But why be concerned when it helps, right?

Since things are certified, this also means house republicans had a blow out down the ticket. Nearly 30 seats were toss ups and Republicans nearly won all of them. Some GOP senators were projected to lose, and a couple of them kept their seat -- Susan Collins keeping her seat was huge. Martha McSally losing her seat was miserable and she did a great job in costing Trump Arizona by being useless. She was also running against an astronaut and husband of Gabby Gifford, who was the former house woman that survived the assassination attempt, so it was probably a wrap regardless, even if McSally was a decent senator.

Congrats to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, I guess.
2546  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you trust the co-vid19 vaccine ? on: December 14, 2020, 07:16:40 PM
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/12/14/world/covid-19-coronavirus

Vaccine distribution starts - looks like healthcare workers on the front lines will be receiving the vaccine first, similar to the UK. You need the vaccine in two doses, and apparently you're not in the clear until the second dose, although the first dose gives some form of protection.

You would think nearly every healthcare worker in the NYC area would have antibodies for this thing already. Hard to imagine healthcare workers that have been on the front lines for 9 months would not have gotten the disease yet.
2547  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hunter Biden says he's under Federal Tax Investigation on: December 13, 2020, 07:13:35 AM
NBC seems to be running with this story too, here's a piece from them talking about a new addition to this story

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/email-hunter-biden-raises-fresh-questions-about-his-tax-dealings-n1250973

New addition is stating that there's an email to Hunter Biden from a former business partner stating to him that he needed to amend his 2014 tax return to correct for the fact that he didn't list the Burisma income there. Spicy.

NBC says the source is an email from Rudy Giuliani’s Attorney...apparently they had this information prior to the election? Obviously Giuliani is pro Trump, I'm surprised he would not have released this earlier.

I don't think it would have made any difference considering the entire story barely picked up any media attention, but it sure as hell would have put a rest to the myth that Joe Biden is this squeaky clean politician. Sure looks like he let his son license out his last name for metric ass loads of cash.

Michigan Politicians Continue to Prevent the Release of Information of the IT Forensic Investigation of the Dominion Voting Machine in Antrim County
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/12/michigan-politicians-continue-prevent-release-information-forensic-investigation-dominion-voting-machine-antrim-county/

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe Trump even has any lawsuits in MI. There’s an active one in Georgia though. And I read through the article, it had a tweet from Sidney Powell in there so your article is probably shit if it’s something Powell is pedaling.
2549  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why I'm an atheist on: December 13, 2020, 12:44:45 AM
The topic is nice but to avoid controversy I believe two topics that should not be discussed is politics and religion because every one have their own opinion.

Religion and politics go together. Why? Religion often drives people to have moral and virtuous lives. Don’t have to be religious to lead a moral life, but how did free countries like the US originate — judeo Christian values.

2550  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Kracken! on: December 12, 2020, 02:40:48 AM
So that's it, the only outstanding lawsuit is in Georgia where they allege thousands of voters who shouldn't have voted did vote and that won't be enough. Biden will be the next President, but there wasn't too much doubt in the first place.

Except for one major thing. This is the Kraken thread. The Texas lawsuit wasn't about winning. Rather, it was about making a show of attempting to win.

Note that none of the things in the Texas lawsuit had anything to do directly with the Kraken. Also, the wording could have been written to show exactly what the voting methods of the other States had to do with Texas and the States that sided with her. But the attorneys who wrote up the Texas lawsuit, were too shrewd to write the lawsuit that way. After all, all they were doing is providing the legal and lawful method for Trump to activate the Kraken... by making sure every other method had been tried first.

The Kraken? The 305th Military Intelligence Battalion? Such stuff doesn't have to do with courts. Rather, it has to do with emergency protection in war. And emergency protection in war is what the President does.

The courts, in league with the States, are pushing the President into no other alternative than military action... the Kraken. And they are probably doing it intentionally, so that the Deep State really gets mopped up.

Cool

You're still talking about the Kracken? You know Powell's lawsuit was laughed out of the court her case made no legal sense? She and some other shady character is now advocating that Republicans boycott the GA runoffs so you should feel bad for believing a word of that miserable grifter.

2552  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of this? Cutting away from Trump's press conference on: December 12, 2020, 12:02:13 AM
Univision has a violent reaction, cuts away from him and starts calling him a liar

I can't watch the linked video (unless I start messing about with the VPN), but other channels have been doing similar. Some may be because they don't want to report on 'facts' that have been widely discredited, but I suspect a lot of channels are doing it purely for the drama so they can cause controversy and sensation by - gasp! - cutting away from the president!!! Look at this channel! So daring! So edgy! Watch us now! You never know what crazy/outrageous thing we'll do next!

The question of balance and accuracy in mainstream media is obviously a difficult one. You want people to be free to say what they want, but at the same time you don't want to give airtime to liars who mislead people with obvious untruths. Not talking about Trump at all here, it's a wider issue. We have this across all sorts of topics, where channels that are supposedly (or do even actually try to be) impartial are fastidious in giving airtime to opponents of any reported view. For example, despite near unanimity amongst climate scientists on the subject of human-caused climate change, many channels will allow a climate-skeptic equal airtime, even though they're representing a tiny minority view. But channels decide for themselves on what is 'too much', for example here in the UK if there is someone talking about evolution, the channels are unlikely to give airtime to creationists, because evolution has become established fact. I suspect in other countries this standard may be different. But the line is always drawn somewhere. If someone says a problem is 'global', then there aren't going to be many channels giving airtime to flat-earthers disputing the world 'globe'.

The question is where to draw the line, and what constitutes 'truth'. No easy answer.

I don't think inaccuracies in the media are as much of a problem as blatant bias, censorship, and activism. Activists are parading themselves as objective journalists when it's not the case. It's always been there, but Trump has made it obvious that "objective" news outlets aren't actually objective but use their air time to push a narrative, looking at you CNN, NYT (and more).

I'm reminded of NPR, a publicly funded entity, which literally refused to cover anything related to Hunter Biden for being "unsubstantiated" which was complete and utter horse shit - https://www.marketwatch.com/story/npr-explained-why-its-not-covering-the-hunter-biden-laptop-story-and-now-president-trumps-son-wants-to-defund-it-11603386611

They didn't want to cover it because it went against Joe Biden.
2553  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trans woman joins women football league on: December 11, 2020, 11:21:09 AM
This is a crazy idea why would FIFA allow a transgender man to join the female football category because his strength is still muscular by nature I don't know what law allows this but it's wrong.

Because somehow it wouldn't be political correct if they had to play on the man's team. Honestly I don't understand it either. This is unfair and shouldn't be allowed. Why not just make a separate trans league?

Because no one would join it and it would make no money. How much of the population is trans? 0.6% according to google in the U.S. 0.6% of the population who suffer from mental illness, 40% of which will have attempted suicide in the lives, and you expect them to make a sports league for them? Not possible. And who would bother watching? Do we have a viewer base that desperately wanna see woman with their balls hanging out kick a ball around?

Prices are fluctuating by thousands over the period of a few days. Don't understand why there is so much instability right now. Perhaps a mini bubble, perhaps the U.S. election threw some uncertainty into the mix, but fees/confirmation times feels like it's been a bitch lately.

Hunter Biden was under investigation since 2018 and media has promised you that they're still objective guys. Absolutely wonderful we are learning after the election.

On a side note, this doesn't make Trump's phone call to Volodymyr Zelensky didn't look so bad considering there was actual doubt into the legitimacy of Hunter Biden's business dealings. I expect liberals to pretend as if the NY Post was not banned for releasing this story and that the entire media was convincing everyone that the story with his laptop was baseless.

On a final note - You should never trust any former "intel officials". They are incompetent political hacks - https://www.politico.com/news/2020/10/19/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinfo-430276 They could not be more incorrect if they tried.
2556  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UK has approved Covid Vaccine - Will you take it if you’re in UK? on: December 10, 2020, 11:23:56 AM

To your point, you are fair in your worry - https://www.reuters.com/article/health-coronavirus-britain-vaccine/uk-issues-anaphylaxis-warning-on-pfizer-vaccine-after-adverse-reactions-idUSKBN28J1DK

TDLR, basically, some UK health workers experienced an allergic reaction in response to the vaccine known as an anaphylactoid reaction, it's basically the immune system overreaction. Pfizer has announced new guidelines saying anyone with a history of anaphylactoid reactions should not take the vaccine.

Again I don't think you are unreasonable to worry about a newly developed vaccine because out of millions of people vaccinated, you will hear about people with adverse reactions. My main point is that if you are already deeply unhealthy, you're bound to die soon anyways and the chance of you dying from a vaccine are virtually nothing.

2557  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UK has approved Covid Vaccine - Will you take it if you’re in UK? on: December 10, 2020, 06:25:12 AM
I also have realized that many (most) doctors* are as clueless as the average Joe during the last 12 months and they still are.

I have seen people that suffer from heavy dizziness after having and beating covid19 and all they say is "Go take a rest" because they don't know what is it they are dealing against. (Nobody really does)

What makes them experts right now to tell people "Get the damn vax"? Nothing.

*I blame the education system. There are probably far less real doctors around than we think. Most of them just do what they are told.

**I just realized doctors are like the FIAT money. The more the Gov prints them, them shittier they become.

Do you expect a doctor to accurately diagnose someone that says "I feel dizzy"? What do you want them to with that? Probe them like an alien and see what's up?

Regardless of whether you trust the vaccine, it's funny how fat fucks that smoke a pack of cigarettes every day will discredit the vaccine as being dangerous like the cancer sticks they ingest every day aren't. Not saying you are, but something like 2/3 of Americans are either overweight or obese so I can't help but think people that aren't getting this vaccine are probably 50+ pounds overweight with diabetes or high blood pressure or some sort of heart condition, ect.

In that case, you might as well get the vaccine because you are already as unhealthy as it gets. What's there to lose?
2558  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FIRST LADY MELANIA TRUMP, An Extraordinary Woman. on: December 10, 2020, 06:17:45 AM
Steering back on topic - Was Melania probably a gold digger? Yes.

But it's also a bit ironic how disgusting the party of tolerance is towards Melania because women empowerment doesn't mean much if the woman is associated with a republican or is a republican.

2559  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trans woman joins women football league on: December 09, 2020, 11:11:45 AM
Trans woman are not woman. They are man.

Reminds me exactly of the Fallon Fox who was a trans woman who beat the living fuck out of actual woman in the UFC. He had male anatomy and physiology and was using it unfairly to win in mixed martial arts...out of all sports to not have men and woman in the same league.

2560  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Kracken! on: December 09, 2020, 05:08:56 AM
Two United States District Court judges blocked Trump campaign election challenges in Georgia and Michigan Monday, slamming them for their overreach and presumption. The dismissed Georgia case was the infamous “Kraken” lawsuit filed by Trump attorney Sidney Powell.

So that's it, the Kraken has been slain. And it didn't even take the head of Medusa to cast a gaze and turn it to stone. Just a couple frumpy judges reiterating what the intelligent masses have already known: Trump is out of his mind.

Sidney Powell was booted from the Trump legal team for being too insane so this one isn't on Trump. You have dozens of lawsuits to choose from with Trump that were already dismissed though.
