321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk said he bought Dogecoin on: February 10, 2021, 04:41:38 PM
Finally he is getting into crypto

It is not his. So he still dont own any. Rich people dont need crypto. Crypto is for the poor. There is no bank on the world that can say to Musk you cant buy this. There are plenty of banks on the world that can say that to half world population. For them permissionless cryptocurrencies are the solution.
322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling top at $16500 (New speculation: Guess the price 19 Feb 2021!) on: February 10, 2021, 04:05:46 PM
It would be funny if on 19 Feb 2021 would ATH of this bitcoin cycle happen. OK, I know that seems premature and this bull market have at least few months of life, but i would be so funny if that actually happen. Someone calling a bottom on day of top. Tongue

This thread might one day end in a trading notebooks. How rekt Bitcoin traders can get.
323  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 10, 2021, 03:52:51 PM
to be honest , i just invested all of my money into crypto on the middle of november , as we see now , everything go green , i even got 12 X ROI just for hold crypto like EGLD,INJ,CAKE,XVS, the question , where the correction , it is the party will be over soon ? or it will be bigger since as we know recently big company like TESLA even accepted bitcoin , or its just fake bull ? if yes , i cant imagine how big the correction will happen.

Not the correction, but a bear market will come sooner or latter. Ofcourse it will not be a sudden. It will take a year or two to reach bottom. You can expect price of Bitcoin decrease 80%.  So lets say it happen now it would mean for price to go under $10k.  For altcoins you are talking about price can decrease for more than 95%.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which projects do you guys hold, and why? on: February 09, 2021, 10:48:11 PM
My current portfolio looks like this:

1) BTC
2) ETH
3) LINK
4) XMR
5) ADA
6) DIVI

You have Monero, so you will be fine. The moment people start using crypto currencies and not just trade them on exchanges value of Monero will skyrocket. It will be valued over $10000. Privacy is the second most important thing at money after security.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB reached $100 on: February 09, 2021, 10:33:13 PM
BNB reached $100

It is crazy $17 billion for an exchange token. You cant use it anywhere else and for nothing else than for trading on Binance. Crazy, crazy, crazy!  and yes your right it will probably be more crazy in the next half year.
326  Economy / Speculation / Re: HOW LONG WILL THIS BULL RUN LAST ? on: February 09, 2021, 10:22:48 PM
HOW LONG WILL THIS BULL RUN LAST ?

I can last only a month or can last fro over a year. It can also have a run now and then dump and few months or half year of bear market like it was in 2013 and then peak again. Everything is possible. This could also be the last pump and that would make the dump way smaller as it used to be.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real fact behind crypto ban in Nigeria on: February 08, 2021, 05:37:39 PM
Finally CBN gives the main reason why they put ban on crypto in Nigeria, the fact is there are many bad eggs among the good eggs, online romance scammers are now using bitcoin as their benefactor to cashing out money easily with no traces, read news here

All such news are made way bigger by media so people should be careful when hear news of banning and delisting and similar. Usually there is story behind it. And bans are very explicit.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 08, 2021, 04:35:23 PM
Oh, Dennis Smith Jr goes to the Pistons, part of the trade.

He was planed to go play in G League bubble. So I guess that plan will change now. I wonder if he will get any play minutes at Detroit. We should not forget he was 9th pick in 2017 draft.
329  Economy / Economics / Re: Florida bank says it has closed Trump's accounts on: February 07, 2021, 05:28:21 PM
The guy can still bank with other banks of florida bank seems or finally decides to block him. He could even own a foreign account in another country which no one knows about. And I also feel he will invest in cryptocurrency in the future, thats if he has not purchase any and stored it already.

USA have influence over many countries. Yes he can have account in North Korea or China or few other countries but not in most. If somehow USA government want to sanction Trump they will be very successful doing that.

It's illegal in the US to have a bank account in North Korea or do any business with North Korea because of sanctions against the North Korean government.

Well in case we are talking he would leave USA. What would be the point to have money in North Korea and himself be locked in prison?    My point was that going abroad cant really save him unless he pick countries that are not very friendly with USA.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 07, 2021, 05:03:36 PM
Still, the Mavs is in the 14th spot. They will need more wins in their next matches.

Yes it looks very bad. Also their game is nothing like it was at start of season. They were 2nd in defence ratings before covid strike. If they will not improve defence even easier schedule in next weeks will not help them. Bright side is that thy are only 4 wins away from 4th spot. So with 2/3 of season left playoff is easily doable. But only if they improve very fast.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins. How much do you think we need them? on: February 07, 2021, 04:40:17 PM
Financial privacy helps you to be safe. When you use transparent ledger cryptocurrencies, any criminal can check how much coins you have and where you use them and where you get them from. Very dangerous information's open to see by anyone.
That is until authorities get to monitor everyone's addresses - they would deny your argument and suddenly fall in love with Bitcoin. They're already doing it. It's the wet dream of a communist thinker: having an overview of everyone's wallets.

Governments can have that power also when people use opaque ledger cryptocurrencies. They ask them to show them their view keys to see their transactions. It is your government so you show. With transparent ledger cryptocurrencies just anyone can see everything. Your neighbour. Someone that wants to apply for same job as you. Someone that runs same business as you. Someone that his business is to steal others people money.  Sorry but I simply dont see that huge use case for transparent ledger cryptocurrencies. Yes there is use case, but a niche one. In the future mainly will be used opaque ledger cryptocurrencies.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: February 06, 2021, 03:36:25 PM
According to Bloomberg, 119 million doses of the vaccine has been administered till now. I don't have the number of individuals who have been completely vaccinated (i.e two doses) for all the countries, but for USA the figure stands at 2.3% of the population and therefore I assume that a large part of the 80 plus population is covered. For the UK, the same figure stands at 0.8%. And for most of the EU nations, it is between 1% and 2%

I was checking Utah numbers yesterday. They have vaccinated around 12% of population. Those over 70% that are at priority list only 40% vaccinated. I would expect that number to be higher but this way also others will get vaccine earlier.

In Europe now 3rd vaccine is getting rolled out. Oxford/AstraZeneca. This is the vaccine Europe ordered most, but sadly had its testings delayed and took this long to be approved in EU. So things should drastically change in upcoming weeks with how many gets vaccine in EU. Also this vaccine needs second vaccine 3 times latter then first two vaccines, so more people will get vaccine with one dose with same number of arrived doses.

334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins. How much do you think we need them? on: February 06, 2021, 02:24:12 PM
while privacy slowly becomes a crime.

Privacy never was and never will be a crime. Crime is a crime. You should not do crime. Cars help criminals. But that dont means Cars are crime. Shoes helps criminals, but that dot mean shoes are crime. USD helps crime, but that dont mean USD is crime.

Financial privacy helps you to be safe. When you use transparent ledger cryptocurrencies, any criminal can check how much coins you have and where you use them and where you get them from. Very dangerous information's open to see by anyone.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many DOGE coins will buy me the Tesla Cyber truck when it launches?? on: February 06, 2021, 02:04:03 PM
How many DOGE coins will buy me the Tesla Cyber truck when they will be available for sale?

I would say one day of mining Doge so around 14 million Doge. Start buying more of them now. Tesla Cyber will get on sale next year?  I do believe you would need to already reserve it to get it really fast. Reservation is only $100, so go for it.

Reservation Done long time now  Wink Grin
also got plenty of them
only hope uncle Elon accepts them as mean of payment!!

I dont see reasons why would not accept crypo. There are plenty of payment systems that automaticlly change crypo to fiat for merchants. Or partly exchange. Every merchant should offer crypto. They save compared to use creditcards.

337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 600,000 DOGE Stolen - Please Help on: February 05, 2021, 05:29:36 PM
It was a normal home PC which is connected to the internet when on. Windows 10.
Wallet was encrypted with a fairly weak password I guess.

Windows Anti virus and anti malware. Normal firewall with modem. Pretty sure it was accessed through the internet.

Can anyone run a trace so I can find out which exchange traded the coins?

I may engage a crypto PI if there is a lead.

A lot of times such steals are inside job. So make sure to think also about that. Who had access to your computer. Not only in 2020. But also before. They could steal your private key in 2017 and then just withdraw last year, so would not look suspicious.
338  Economy / Economics / Re: The billionaires who own bitcoins on: February 05, 2021, 04:25:09 PM
The billionaires who own bitcoins

I dont get why you mention Cuban and Musk, when they have 0.00000001% of their wealth in btc. Half people on this forum have more BTC then them. That is ridiculous amount for them. For them to own BTC would mean to have at least 1000 BTC. What thy have now is for them like bread crumbs fro me ad you when we feed birds in a park with it.
339  Economy / Economics / Re: Only 2% of addresses hold 1 Bitcoin or more — Is this true? on: February 04, 2021, 08:26:02 PM
I'm curious about some publications mentioning that "only 2% of the addresses holds 1 Bitcoin or more".

Think what you wrote. If there are a lot  of addresses s logical that only tiny number can have 1 btc. If there are 18 million addresses, then every address can have 1 BTC, but only if none have more then 1 BTC. It is not logical that no address would have more then 1 BTC since all BTC on exchanges is in one address.   My point is this is totally unrelevant data. What si relevant s why on earth we can see how much coins in n peoples wallets. Bitcoin ledger should be opaque as is in Monero.

Why Elon Musk shill for DOGE

He has some friends among early DOGE adopters or creator or developer. I forgot.  He helped him with Twitter spam 5 years ago. From that time on he make Doge tweets or have Doge written in his profile. He is joking about it.
