341  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami Mayor Will Allow Employee salaries in Bitcoin on: February 04, 2021, 07:24:55 PM
... and before the Mayor could make a public statement about paying salary in crypto there must be some in-door conversation going on it.

He did not said it will happen. He said they will research it and think about it. They are considering. Everyone should consider and pay salaries the way that is best for them. Without research that will not happen.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: At long term — Could 1 sat equals 1 USD? on: February 03, 2021, 10:32:31 PM
Unless USD drastically lose value no. That would mean a marketcap of $210 trillion.  Whole USD M2 money supply today is less then $20 trillion. All gold in the world is worth about $11 trillion.

Thanks Febo
I'm curious, where does that data comes from?

Well when you google all gold in existence you might get: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_reserve   Then you multiply that 190k tons with price that is around $60k per kilo  you will get a bit more than $11 trillions.

Then you google M2 money supply and you get: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/M2
You may notic it went x10 in last 40 years and made nice leg up last year because of pandemic printing.
343  Economy / Speculation / Re: At long term — Could 1 sat equals 1 USD? on: February 03, 2021, 06:41:30 PM
Hi there,

What do you guys think are the chances that at long term (say 10~20 years) 1 sat could be valued 1 US dollar?
Is there any solid foundation supporting that Bitcoin price in the future?

Thanks.

Unless USD drastically lose value no. That would mean a marketcap of $210 trillion.  Whole USD M2 money supply today is less then $20 trillion. All gold in the world is worth about $11 trillion.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Coins? on: February 03, 2021, 06:29:51 PM
is it a joke or what?
i personally dont think that its a real deal to go up with.
Rumors that Dogecoin is like bitcoin yet i dont see many websites using it. is there any earn-money site paying in dogecoins?

Doge is Bitcoin alike clone. It is no joke. Its marketing gimmick is to be a joke so it stand out of 10000 similar coins.  But in general dont bring anything new to the table it is just like BTC, so not interesting.
345  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami Mayor Will Allow Employee salaries in Bitcoin on: February 03, 2021, 05:45:02 PM
I wonder why not all leaders are like him!! Miami is lucky enough to have a mayor like Francis who seriously wants to welcome bitcoin like any other currency of the world. Only such leaders can bring positive changes among their citizens and can take steps towards achieving financial freedom!

Unfortunately, I live in a country where the leader is planning to impose a blanket ban on bitcoin citing the risk it bestows. We really need more people like Francis around the world for a better functioning society!

He is just a mayor. Maybe Florida Governor plans  to impose a blanket ban on bitcoin and USA president  to impose a blanket ban on bitcoin. If that is the case all plans of this mayor will fail.  In next decades there will be clash of opinions and plans.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Does Every Exchange Need To Have Its Own Token? on: February 03, 2021, 05:12:57 PM
I've only really started learning about crypto and I don't really see the point to all these million different exchange tokens.
Most of them just seem to speculative tokens with no actual function as far as I can see  Roll Eyes
What do you think?

A lot of exchanges exist because of issuing token to crowdfund founds for start. Binance, Kucoin, Bithumb, ...  There are plenty more. None older exchange have any token. Three is not Bitctamp token, no Poloniex token, no Kraken token.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Support XRP on: February 02, 2021, 06:57:51 PM
Japan Support XRP
Makoto, a Japanese entrepreneur and XRP investor told ...

One guy is not a country. Japan will follow whatever USA will dictate. All securities USA will delist from their exchanges will also get delisted in Japan and EU and all countries where USA have influence. Rulles are simple. When you start a security you have to launch it by SEC rules and not by your own personal rules like Ripple did.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: February 02, 2021, 06:06:31 PM
Good night xmr.to

https://xmr.to/blog/job-done

Less selling pressure from now on?

I dont think should be any change. There are a lot alternatives to xmr.to.  What could happen is that more merchants accept Monero directly. It is definitely a good reason to ask Bitcoin merchants right now to add Monero payment option.
349  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Biden raise the federal minimum wage from 7.25 USD per hour to 15 USD? on: February 02, 2021, 05:56:03 PM
Will Biden raise the federal minimum wage from 7.25 USD per hour to 15 USD?
Will the US business suffer from the increased labor costs?

Yes he will. It is already set. But will be gradually and will take years. US business will not suffer a bit. Companies will invest more in automation so the easiest jobs will be made by robots and people will take more complex jobs and be paid accordingly.

Dogecoin wallets disabled on Poloniex (3 days now)

Dogecoin is just a simple Bitcoin clone. Poloniex infrastructure should be well prepared for it. So it is suspicious. There would be no reason to have wallet offline for even a day.
352  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich have too much on: January 31, 2021, 08:03:57 PM
Rich have too much !!'
Nedd laws the money u dont use long time will be taken and goved to poor

Lets take and share to poor more taxes and taxes % to me im poor
Time for revolution !!!

With crypto no government will be able to just take money from rich or poor. So your revolution will have much more problems in future crypto societies than in today's fiat societies.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bears did that just kill? on: January 31, 2021, 07:47:26 PM
There just are not enough sellers left to push the market down in any meaningful way.

There are 15 million BTC. Each of them have own value. When $30k will be to low for them price will move up. But every coin have its price. Some will sell at $40k some at $50k some at $100k. All 15 million BTC have its price. Oh and dont forget that those that will buy at $40k will then again have its own price when will sell. So these 15 million BTC never decrease.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most discreet way to hide your crypto from thieves? on: January 31, 2021, 06:53:11 PM
What is the most discreet way to hide your crypto from thieves?

Use Monero. That way no one can link your transactions to your identity.  So no one knows you have any Monero in the first place. Safest money is the one no one knows it exist in the first place.
355  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you put your investment motto in one sentence when you enter the cryptocurre on: January 31, 2021, 06:37:38 PM
Invest as much that you can still sleep at night after you lose all.
Do never invest your friends money. Or suggest them where to invest. Educate them how to find good investment.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for XRP on: January 30, 2021, 08:23:49 PM
Just on the announcement of response the price has pumped massively, this goes to show the support and confidence by the community for xrp. I am sure eventually good things will come up for xrp.

Good things like what?   Ripple have no use case anymore. Only use case was to trade it on exchanged. Pump and dump. Now is not allowed in USA and soon in countries that are related to USA since they will force other countries to comply with their regulations. There is zero point Ripple exist. It was zero point for it already in 2012 when it was created.
357  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2021, 08:09:44 PM
Fiat and cryptocurrency are the same but people in society differentiate them and value fiat because its adopted by the government far back, and since the existence of the world and also a specific country, so from my research I find out that government just disliked cryptocurrency for nothing,

They are not the same. Cryptocurrencies are controlled by protocol , fiat currencies are controlled by current government. Even if you have super duper government that made succinct in your country budged in past years you have no ideas what government you will have few years from now. They print money for that and that creates inflation.  They create money for all kind of things. Not just for fighting pandemic as they did last and this year. Bailing out bankers and wealthy people. All that is paid by fiat currency users through inflation.
358  Economy / Speculation / Re: Most dangerous Bitcoin monthly closing candle on: January 30, 2021, 07:44:59 PM
Bitcoin will have the most important monthly candle closing tomorrow. See the big wick in 2017 last green candle and it was end of bull season. In 2019 also, we had a big wick and then a long bear market. This month's candle also have a big wick  Shocked  But bitcoin still have one day and maybe if could pump again to 37-38k, our bull season will remain intact, else is this the signal of end of bull market ?

January 2021 candle is about May 2017 candle. That far we are in a bull run. Now you figure out hoe many greens and reds we will have in next half year.  We should have one or two red maybe already next month or maybe even 3 months from now. Then few more greens and bear market.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 30, 2021, 07:10:44 PM
It's Bojan Bogdanović's night.
7/11 in the 3 point field giving the Jazz an addition to their streak.
But I really appreciate their defense more. They are everywhere.
Even with the offensive power of the Mavs they shut down most of their roleplayers.
Then, there is the strategy of attacking KP to put him in foul trouble with just a half of the game that limped the offense of Mavs.

Will it be the Nuggets that will stop this streak next game?

Jazz have 11 game wining streak. They are currently best team in the league. Mavericks have own problems, but they were a class weaker opponent in those 2 games. Yesterday they wee losing rebounds 32-13 in first halftime.  In both games Jazz made 15 points difference in first quarter and never let it go. Jazz will for sue play well in the future. Mavs needs to improve a lot. Their schedule in February and March is much easier as in January. But they need to play.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The surprise of Dogecoin on: January 30, 2021, 06:34:56 PM
Even though dogecoin was created just for fun, the dogecoin has managed to remain fairly valuable over the last seven years.

Created for fun is a marketing gimmick.  Doge was created as a scam. But very soon they decided to add big enough tail emission so they make that scam premine irrelevant. Doge is just a normal coin. Just like Bitcoin, Litecoin and 1000 others. Copying Bitcoin.  Nothing fun, nothing meme nothing, ...  A working transparent ledger coin with known issues that such coins have.
