Well, this happened to 3 people.  It would be a hell of a coincidence.

Well, then.  Why'd I get a transaction ID, then?  I figure if it's "database problems," I wouldn't get any ID.
1184  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinBase won't send me my BTC [NOT THE FRAUD CHECKING] on: March 20, 2013, 12:52:52 AM
CoinBase claims to have sent me my Bitcoin, even citing a transaction ID on their site (a5c3977e1de9f32e1916c9ebc98d429514a132f1daaf558d573284fe91a27868).  However, this transaction has never been submitted (look on blockchain.info).

This happened 2 hours ago, and I sent them an email.  I know I have to give them more time to respond, but I figured there's no harm in making a thread.

And, I repeat: This isn't about fraud checks.  It's about them sending me BTC, except they didn't actually send it.

Orphan block issue perhaps ?

Will you take paypal?  I have a bunch of OTC rep (150+).

How much for the projector?

Well, since you're *so* new, we're going to need a shoe on head while balancing a glass of water on your palm.  Put a post it note (on the glass) with your username for extra points.
1187  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinBase won't send me my BTC [NOT THE FRAUD CHECKING] on: March 19, 2013, 11:20:42 PM
bumping and adding my thread. Posible moderator merge to keep one thread?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155092.0
I approve this merge if a mod wants to do this.

Wow!  See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155090.0.  Same thing happened to me.  Something's up over there...

http://www.gizoogle.net/xfer.php?link=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin

Some examples:
Bitcoin (sign: BTC) be a decentralized digital currency based on a open-source, peer-to-peer internizzle protocol. It was introduced by a pseudonymous pimper named Satoshi Nakamoto up in 2009.[8][1]

Da scrilla supply be automated

Users obtain freshly smoked up bitcoin addresses as necessary; these is stored up in a wallet file wit links ta cryptographic passlyrics or "private keys" dat enable access ta n' transfer of bitcoins fo' realz. A file or "wallet" containin bitcoin addresses is probably encrypted wit a additionizzle password.

Cuz of this, transaction fees may be included wit any transfer of bitcoins fo' realz. Az of 2012, nuff transactions is processed up in a way which make no charge fo' tha transaction. I aint talkin' bout chicken n' gravy biatch. For transactions which draw coins from nuff bitcoin addresses n' therefore gots a big-ass data size, a lil' small-ass transaction fee is probably expected.

Hmm, strange... Maybe the original post-er isn't aware of #bitcoin-dev on Freenode IRC?

Or is it just that not enough of the VIPs the OP would like to see hang out there actually do hang out there?

-MarkM-

OP has regular bad ideas.  Such as the $5k investment for a copy of a game.  Cheesy

(No offense to starsoccer.  <3)
1193  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Programmers/Designers wanted for new bitcoin project on: March 12, 2013, 09:49:39 PM
email me at cuntsrus@tormail.org

Looking for the cream of the crop, eh?
Wow, that's classy, Mr. OP.  I'm sure that you'll get really expert programmers emailing to CuntsRUs.
1194  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] GoxGame. So you think you can trade? on: March 12, 2013, 09:48:11 PM
will there be a option for privacy? this could be abused to display/leak/identify someones trading strategys (just had this worst case scenario, well there are probably worse than this Tongue)

anyway, count me in if you start it. that could be a funny thing.

Hadnt considered that.
I could keep actual trade history secret (well, to all but the player and me) , but the result should be public.

Meanwhile I finished the dynamic charts (quite happy with them)  and applied a tiny bit of eye candy. Updated screenie above.

I will probably need a host for this tho, my new provider's router/fw is a real nightmare. Anyone know of a cheap mysql/php provider?

Heh, if you want my 128mb of ram VPS that I have, I'll sell it to you for $5 a month.  I haven't used it in forever.

Anyways, is there a prize to the winner?

(BTW, I had this idea a year ago and was too lazy to do it.  Glad that someone is doing it!)
1195  Economy / Services / Re: Website for 1 BTC OBO, and other services. on: March 11, 2013, 12:15:24 AM
Just a quick note to say that OP does good work. He just finished my page and it looks better than I had envisioned in my mind.

I will post a link to the page when I get home and can put the files on my server.

He was able to do the front end, GUI, work while I am still working on the back end dynamic content portion of the page. He was able to do the creative visual stuff that I have neither the talent nor the experience to make work.
Only 1 BTC?

Theymos tagged him.  Thread locked.

I scammer-tagged him.
Thanks.

*Sigh*  So, what you're saying is that I can't sign up for an account on any website on the internet?  The ToS's count as contracts.

Absolutely.  if a website says you have to be older than a certain age to sign up, and you aren't, but you signup anyway - YES, you are scamming them.
Oh, REALLY?  I'll play along with this shit too.  He didn't have a sign-up age.

Also, just so you know, lying =/= scamming.  Idiot.

I never said any particular person/website had a sign up age.

I said when you lie to a website to gain access to which you otherwise would be denied, which I'm sure you have, you are scamming them.

Since profanity is a sign of a weak mind, there is no more sense in talking to you. Typical ignorant teenager.   Undecided

He was not the only one that lost money. Many people, including me, have done so. Therefore, whether or not his own case is void should have no impact of the verdict. I find your attempted deflection of attention away from the scam at hand concerning. Would you mind revealing whether you have a vetted interest in this case?

I'm just saying that one scammer calling another out is funny, that's all.    Wink  Have a good one.
Lying != scamming.  I did not make a contract that I could not uphold/not uphold my side of a contract.

Are you saying that you have never lied before in your life?  Not even once?  That's the argument that you're making.

If you ask me, you're the one acting ignorant currently.

You're essentially saying that I don't have a right to get angry when you say that they can steal from me.  I'm sorry for saying that what you're saying is shit, but it really is.

I did not lie to Andrew Bitcoiner or bitjack21 about my age.  I never told them my age, nor signed a contract stating my age.

Also, you're threadjacking my thread anyways.  My age has nothing to do with unfair scammer judgments.
1200  Other / Meta / Re: Unfair Scammer Judgements on: March 10, 2013, 07:40:17 PM
So it's legal to steal from 14 year-olds?  Seems legit.

Of course not. The contract will be voided and restitutions must be made.

Alright.  I'll play along with this BS.  The contract cannot be voided unless it's taken to court and be ordered voided.  So it's still a legal contract.

A 14 year old can make a contract, it just can't be legally enforced in court.

Re-read my last two posts, I clarified them.
You still need to read the thread again.  Hint: There wasn't a ToS.

This is why theymos won't give him a tag.  Because he didn't have a ToS that said he couldn't steal my Bitcoins.

You should probably re-read them again. :-) Simply because only a minor can void a contract, not the counter party unless a minor lied about his age and there is no contract.
Oh, I see what you mean.  Good point!

So, mlawrence: I didn't lie about my age.  Contract is valid.
