I don't think the strategy is like that. In fact, when facing a team that is supposed to give 3 points, they have to beat them. and try your best to beat the stronger team. or at least not to lose to a stronger team. it will ensure Girona stays safe in the standings.

With the season still so far away, I think it's safe to say that the championship will only come down to Madrid and Girona this season.
There are still plenty of opportunities because the game is only halfway through the season and in the remaining time there will definitely be a lot of surprises.
Girona are very good and are expected to be able to play better in the remaining matches that occur but for the problem of competition for the La Liga trophy it is too naive if at this time it will only include Girona and Madrid because after all there are still some big names that we certainly know they will not just give up.

The decline of a player cannot be predicted at all, even if he is a good player but when they experience a decline it will be inevitable. There is actually a player who is worse than Isco, namely Eden Hazard, yes he has been a sweetener for the Real Madrid bench for many seasons. Yes, Real Madrid needs a sharp striker this season because Rodrygo, Juselu cannot be fully expected because they don't seem too hungry for goals, in fact Bellingham is not a striker but is capable of being a complement to Real Madrid, even so, Real Madrid still needs good strikers and experienced option one might be Mbappè but if Mbappè renews his contract with PSG then Real Madrid will have to change other options.
