when you first login it  shows it for about 1 second then goes it goes away.
Try this full HTML page:

Code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>Title</title>
</head>
<body>
<p>
<?php
$con
=mysql_connect('localhost''user''pass');
if (!
$con) { die('Could not connect: '.mysql_error()); }
mysql_select_db("db"$con);
$username=$_POST['skiz22285'];
$username=mysql_real_escape_string($username);
$result=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$username'");
$row=mysql_fetch_array($result);
echo
"Email: ".$row['email']."<br/>";
echo
"Username: ".$row['username'];
mysql_close ($con);
?>

</p>
</body>
</html>

Code:
<?php
$con
=mysql_connect('localhost''user''pass');
if (!
$con) { die('Could not connect: '.mysql_error()); }
mysql_select_db("db"$con);
$username=$_POST['skiz22285'];
$username=mysql_real_escape_string($username);
$result=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$username'");
$row=mysql_fetch_array($result);
echo
"Email: ".$row['email']."<br/>";
echo
"Username: ".$row['username'];
mysql_close ($con);
?>

he forgot a ; on the line of

Code:
$username=mysql_real_escape_string($username)
That was it. Fixed now, it should work.

<?php
$con
=mysql_connect('localhost''user''pass');
if (!
$con) { die('Could not connect: '.mysql_error()); }
mysql_select_db("db"$con);
$username=$_POST['skiz22285'];
$username=mysql_real_escape_string($username);
$result=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE username='$username'");
$row=mysql_fetch_array($result);
echo
"Email: ".$row['email']."<br/>";
echo
"Username: ".$row['username'];
mysql_close ($con);
?>
Note that this uses $_POST['skiz22285'], which is probably not what you want.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of Major Bitcoin Heists, Thefts, Hacks, Scams, and Losses on: September 06, 2012, 12:01:21 PM
wait, so what % of the total bitcoin has actually been stolen? :-)
This is nearly impossible to know because most BTC has been stolen not once, but many, many times.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of Major Bitcoin Heists, Thefts, Hacks, Scams, and Losses on: September 05, 2012, 08:38:38 PM
thanks for keeping this list up to date. very good to have this info compiled here.
do you have a donation addr?
I will accept donations at 1MLSW1nmYkHqaHWNNkHSAHct6exd8fYYLX. Thanks!

New theft: Bitfloor. Ranks #5 (preliminary, not including Pirate).

A quarter million dollars worth of funds gone and it only ranks fifth?

Incidentally, the list ordered by USD is missing a few ..., this BitFloor event and also the Linode (Bitcoina, Slush and Faucet), Bitcionica (May) and Bitcoinica (June) events.

The USD list is missing a lot, most of them. I will fix that.

On a related note, this thread has just gotten slashdotted or something, because it jumped from ~5000 views to ~8000.

Keeping up with this list is getting to be a full time job lately.

(bitfloor coin theft details)
Thank you.

Nefario, I used flot as well.  Dunno if it helps, but feel free to borrow code from: https://www.litecoinglobal.com/security?s=LTC-GLOBAL

If you're using SQL, I can PM you my queries that drop off the extremes.
Make sure to disable flot's IE compatibility features; they're outdated and break IE.

People still use IE?   Wink

Got it fixed up... I think, tested with IE 8.  Don't want to hijack the thread, so please post at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101694.0 if you have a different version of IE that it does not work in.

Thanks for the heads up!
Can't run IE (I'm on Ubuntu), sorry.

Sure, go ahead and smoke, smell like a retard, act like a pothead, and lose your sense of life. It's your choice. But don't expect to do business with me.

Cutting off or alienating a market just because you disagree with someone's life choices isn't a good business decision.
That's completely correct. But cutting off a market because they smell horrible, act stupid, and are addicted is an excellent business decision.
1471  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. on: September 03, 2012, 07:54:54 PM
I know for my part, I never found a blonde hair/blue eyed white chick hot. Guess I saw to much of it in my family or in the mirror to enjoy it Tongue
"Finding someone hot" is a very uninformed method of selecting a mate. Visual selection is only efficient for a first-round elimination, while communication (conscious and subconscious) is generally much more important for finding someone attractive. The lack of that is why dating websites don't work.
1472  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. on: September 03, 2012, 07:50:18 PM
We're hard-wired to find exotic hot, but to love similarity.
Huh

Humans try to mate with the most similar other humans that have a different type of immune system. Generally, your family is full of people with the same type of immune system, so you won't mate with them. Exotic people are too different, so the same "don't-mate-with-a-chimp" mechanism pushes us away. We neither find exotic hot nor love similarity.
1473  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are drugs bad? Is Marijuana killing me slowly? on: September 03, 2012, 07:41:30 PM
Yes, marijuana is killing you slowly.

I have no respect for alcoholics, tobacco smokers, or marijuana addicts, unless it is a medicinal use. This goes for people on other unnecessary drugs. I have negative respect for smokers of anything who do it in public and announce their fumes to every innocent person nearby. Smoke on your property and ensure no fumes reach others, and I won't complain (I'll still denounce you though).

I don't approve of restriction of drugs, but banning of public pollution is absolutely necessary.

That one remark at the end just rendered everything else you said absolutely useless.

Scamming sock puppets = bad
regular sock puppets = who cares?

I agree with this.  As long as scamming isn't involved, if people want to be anon when they give their opinions so they are not linked to their business or dealings they have on the forum or in the community in general, let them.

All voices should be heard no matter how unpopular those opinions may be.

So you're saying admins should be tasked with determining what is a scam and what isn't?

That's a nice idea.  Maybe they should be in charge of all the coins too so they can return them when you get scammed.
So you're saying admins should be tasked with determining who is a sockpuppet and who isn't?

That's a nice idea. Maybe they should be in charge of all the people too so they can imprison them if they are sockpuppets.
1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of Major Bitcoin Heists, Thefts, Hacks, Scams, and Losses on: September 02, 2012, 02:12:40 PM
Basically, the investors had built their accounts up to over 500,000 BTC collectively via compound interest, so they feel like they lost more bitcoins than they actually had. Those bitcoins never existed. Only the principle deposited and whatever pirate made from his market shenanigans were available to the fund.
This is assuming that Pirate isn't understating the total paper value of everyone's balances at BTCS&T. Some have theorized that the paper loss is much higher than that and that just the actual principle lost alone could reach 500,000 BTC. Maged seems to reckon based on blockchain analysis that Pirate alone made off with about 200,000 BTC from this, not counting the money paid out as interest, though sadly he doesn't seem to be able to publish details of that analysis.
200000 BTC is an even lower estimate than 350000 BTC I gave, but I figure also more accurate. If worse goes to worst, then that is the figure I may preliminarily use.

1479  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool with difficulty 32 for less network chatter (HHTT) on: September 01, 2012, 01:54:26 AM
Does the difficulty need to be a power of 2?  It seems like I'm having just as many shares accepted as a normal difficulty 1 pool.

It needs to be an integer but doesn't need to be a power of 2.  However, I wouldn't be surprised if some not very smart mining software didn't handle it correctly and did something stupid.  I've only tested with cgminer and it works very well.

Difficulty does not need to be an integer (concept-wise), though I'm nearly sure an integer is the only value supported by mining software.
1480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoins break $5,000 in 20 years? on: September 01, 2012, 01:51:46 AM
Only in flawed economic thinking is it a burden. The Triffin dilemma is based on one of the greatest misconceptions in modern-day economics: "a trade deficit is bad".

The USA has been a hungry importer, receiving a huge influx of useful goods, lasting commodities, and safe securities in exchange for its depreciating, produced-on-demand USD, all because it owns the world's reserve currency.

There is no such thing as a trade deficit, not really.  In the long run, there is always balance.  As the dollars flowed out, our capital, our saved production, our means of future production, flowed out with them.  We didn't rebuild Europe and Asia after the war with tricky accounting, we poured out our sweat and blood, because no one else would.

In a hundred years, or two hundred, future historians will note the last several decades as the era when the United States impoverished itself to catapult the rest of the world into the modern age.
This is a very American-centric view, and does little to quash the stereotypes surrounding American self-centric thinking.

As USD became the reserve currency, other countries scrambled to provide non-depreciating assets. As USD depreciated and countries acquired more USD to compensate, more commodities and sound securities were provided. The USA has been feeding off this, and "exploitation of the globe" is without a doubt a crucial reason the USA remains the world's largest economy amidst development of harder-working, stronger-producing, and less-consuming markets in Asia and Latin America, and eventually Africa.
