1461  Economy / Economics / Re: Speculation rocks! (thanks for the price drop|please don't destroy it!) on: June 11, 2011, 07:20:09 PM
Intrinsic value is part of the subjective theory framework, not the other way around.

Things in nature don't have an inherent value unless a human thinks it's useful.
1462  Other / Meta / Re: The forum is officially useless. on: June 11, 2011, 07:18:37 PM
Don't ban the troll! I need them as an excuse to post bitcoinweekly articles.  Cheesy
1463  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin should crash on: June 11, 2011, 07:11:53 PM
I wish these forums had a screening algorithm like

If Post.count < 5 && Post.Contains("Bubble","Ponzi Scheme","speculation","no real economy")
Then reject.post

But it gives me opportunity to promote my articles.  Cool
1464  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin should crash on: June 11, 2011, 07:06:11 PM
Vitalik Buterin said the opposite.

Since you also said bitcoin is a bubble, here's the comic.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speculators have bailed, good, PLEASE start building bitcoin businesses now on: June 11, 2011, 07:04:52 PM
I'm a small business owner myself (programming/design/hosting), and I considered accepting bitcoins for services.  I no longer consider it a viable option in the least.

If you don't want to stay in the bitcoin economy, that's fine.
1466  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't SELL !! on: June 11, 2011, 06:51:27 PM
It's your own fault for buying in an unsustainable bubble. Maybe another bubble will help you out and the non-speculative supply and demand could help bring the price up over the longer term.

You mentioned a bubble, you get the bitcoin bubble comic.
1467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speculators have bailed, good, PLEASE start building bitcoin businesses now on: June 11, 2011, 06:49:53 PM
This is completely boring. Anyway, here's the reason why bitcoin isn't a bubble, followed by a bitcoin bubble comic which illustrate the bitcoin bubble siren song that been going on since the beginning of the currency.

Anyway, it's normal for the price of bitcoin to decline 30% or even more overnight, just as it is normal for bitcoin to jump 30% or more overnight.

Good day.

I thought every transactions is visible to everyone?
So bitcoin is not really anonymous, right?

That may be so but I have no idea who owns what.

1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real threat to Bitcoin on: June 10, 2011, 01:47:53 PM
Oh and by the way. Don't think that Senators or anybody else that rallies against Bitcoin really acts against it because of reasons they tell you. Discrediting and and using semi true problems like the ability to launder money is just a pretense.

So writing a congressman about how swell Bitcoin is won't really do anything. They don't care!

They are probably just a thoughless memebot rather than a rational human beings.
1478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people have such a love/hate reaction to Bitcoins when hear about it? on: June 09, 2011, 01:26:55 PM
So they react like this? http://bitcoinweekly.com/articles/reactions-to-bitcoin

Indifference is hard to detect because they don't make lot of noise.

1480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Citizens! Do Your Part! Don't Let Senator Schumer Ban/Limit Bitcoin on: June 09, 2011, 12:47:53 PM

Bitcoin is not anonymous, and it is not for money laundering.  These are the touchstones for Schumer and his like-minded senators on the big banking commitees.  Take the fangs out of their argument by proving them wrong, then you've got something.

I am not willing to hurt people simply for selling weapons and weeds. What these people are doing is a voluntary transaction. Schumer and his friends are morally disgusting, not us.
