Hello!
Any French speaking member?
You're welcome to use the official Telegram channel for French people if you have any question, need help or whatever
6742  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is changing on: April 11, 2018, 05:54:16 PM
Multiple times I proposed to either

To warn (and then to ban if it's not enough) the campaign managers for the lack of responsibility:
they also have their share of responsibility in accepting such posters. Running a campaign is not just to copy paste a template adding images to it, accepting members, and paid them once a week.

If the projects are happy to see their website tied to shitposts then it's fine, but they may be too warned. I do remember a campaign (Qtum?) which received a warning for the same thing.

To make a membership allowing members to wear a signature, something like 200$ per year I don't know.

I stopped to visit the altcoins forum for a long time now. I know even dislike altcoins as such as I don't want to hear of any (I am interested in only 3 and it's enough). When I receive an email about an altcoin/ICO project, I don't bother to reply.
6743  Bitcoin / Project Development / Displaying the current Bitcoin price on: April 11, 2018, 05:29:15 PM
I need to install a code displaying the current Bitcoin price (and in future some other data related to Bitcoin)
I am using a WordPress installation.

So you may think, why not using the ready-made widgets such as coincompare bitcoinaverage and alike websites? I can't because they are branded (powered by.) And I can't use such method.

So then, why not to use APIs you say? Here is my problem:

How the fuck am I supposed to use the APIs?
I tried with different tags such as <src> <frame> and even I tried in a plain text (<==  Cheesy Yes I know)

Using a search engine is not so useful, I mainly find links related to the WordPress API, not how to use APIs with WP.
I wasted 2 hours searching for something that I know it's easy to do (once you know how)

Thank you Cry
6744  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Boosting twitter account[tool] on: April 11, 2018, 05:15:22 PM
Great way to get two things:

  • Loads of shitfollowers that don't use twitter for other thing then to shill their twits
  • Get banned by Twitter

Please, tell us better way to gain activefollowers freely.
Everybody can critic, but not everybody can propose.

Networking? Since the site is a social network, why not trying to?...

It works fine for me, I connect with the right audience, and so get natural engagement. People are not stupid if you have 5000 followers but zero engagement then your account is useless and everyone knows your followers are fake
All people doing like in the OP are doing it to collect some free coins with campaigns. ( it's similar to scamming for me) There are a huge amount of Russian bots using this, we all (normal users) block them and do not even want to be related to such account
6745  Economy / Economics / Re: Will regulating cryptomarkets increase or decrease trading volumes? on: April 11, 2018, 04:52:08 PM
It can increase the trust and even help, but the current regulations (or attempts) are damaging the crypto reputation more than anything else. In another hand, accepting to be regulated may lost the credibility of any project.

In terms of trading volumes, in my opinion it will be just related to what I was saying above. If more trust are put in cryptos, more people will buy, so more volumes and so higher prices.
6746  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: April 11, 2018, 04:29:58 PM
Transferwise.com is not a scam, it's a reputed service working with bank(s). Located in different countries and backed by some serious VC, I don't see why they should start to scam people for some bucks. Usually, people complaining to tell the full story to readers. I am not going to buy your story unless you fully explain your case and as well post some evidences you got scammed.
6747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reputation of Bitcoin in the Philippines. on: April 11, 2018, 04:14:58 PM
It will have zero impact as long citizens are educated about Bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies.
Scams using Bitcoin, doesn't make the crypto itself a scam, otherwise the dollar is a scam since it's born.

It's up to you and your fellow to explain this to your patriotes

It will play a huge impact on the growth of bitcoin in the Philippines

I doubt that

Yes. That's true. But the main source of information for older people is the television or newspaper. Or even maybe radio broadcasts. So, their insights about bitcoin will be as a scam and they might not get into it because of the negative views that the media releases. So I believe that it will have a huge impact.

The senior people group is not the good audience to target. Young people are the most important population because it will be them who will use it the most.
You can compare with a smartphone, tablet, etc you don't see the companies targetting the old people because in some years (maybe just 2-3 years) old people won't be here anymore. Young people are more open to use the new technologies, it's the audience that has the most potential
to fully use crypto (once it's possible of course)
It's like if you have a book to sell, you wouldn't try to sell it to a blind man.

Can I kill someone? isn't that done like by 1000s of people.,

Because you see some members doing doesn't give you the right to do it. Don't say "I didn't know", Have you ever see a forum where you can copy paste content from other without getting anything?

Open a free blog and you're free to copy paste whatever you want, but on a discussion board, it isn't something appreciated, on any forum on the web.

6750  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon GC no longer available through Gyft - Alternatives? on: April 10, 2018, 02:13:06 PM
@squatter

Fortunately, the justice is not dumb as we can think.

It's not like if, for example, I steal a bike and I call you saying I have a stolen bike to sell if you're interested. And you tell me, okay, you buy it knowing the bike was stolen. In this case, it's considered as "Possession of stolen goods" because you knew it was stolen.

Buying from Purse, or let's say Amazon and similar marketplaces, a product and some weeks after you learn the product was stolen, then
Quote
If the individual did not know the goods were stolen, then the goods are returned to the owner and the individual is not prosecuted.
The difficulty can be to be able to prove you didn't know, but showing your account activity from Purse website is enough

6751  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ePayments - Your New CryptoCurrency Debit Card on: April 10, 2018, 01:55:31 PM
No, I believe it's because how they're running their business, using another type (or not) as a 3rd party. It's just a matter of set up and the country used to operate the business.
This say, you will never see anything that came from Visa or Mastercard's mouth the same way you will never see a statement to say using you card is not allowed to buy a Kalashnikov

6754  Other / Meta / Re: Does Cobra control something over Bitcointalk and Bitcoin.org ? on: April 09, 2018, 08:54:57 AM
There are a lot of people working on great projects, but there are also people working on junk and marketing it as Bitcoin.
Bcash is the most hostile fork. It's not about to chase anyone out of the community if they don't hate on BCash with the same fierce fiery hatred. Take the example with others forks...It's just how the Bcash community is trying to misappropriate the Bitcoin brand.
Other than that, people are free to do whatever they want, you don't see the Bitcoin community chasing the others +1500 altcoins communities

You said Bcash is cancer and a useless coin with no future. (I still have a screenshot somewhere, I can search for) This is a reason I used to say your comments are controversial...

It's funny you say this but you should also add:
a smear campaign organized by people associated with Roger Ver against Blockstream using @bitcoin on Twitter spreading vicious rumors and posting fakes screenshots from Blockstream website, (or telling during conference Bitcoin kills babies...)

back on the topic (because I wasn't looking for a BTC vs Btrash battle)
You must be kidding, there is a difference between someone interested to know how the domain names of the Bitcoin community are safe from Roger Ver army and someone waiting for the next "enemy of Bitcoin" to show themselves. I can go on Twitter without waiting a minute to find someone from bcash to troll. I also perfectly know how money can be used to buy people opinion. But I'm going to believe in your intention towards the Bitcoin community
6755  Other / Meta / Re: Does Cobra control something over Bitcointalk and Bitcoin.org ? on: April 08, 2018, 10:55:42 PM
Just wondering...

Cobra turned into a Bitcoin Cash fan. Don't think I am trolling, but.... Roll Eyes
Wasn't the "Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin" tweet an April Fools prank? That's his last tweet (from today):

Quote
Very strange, but it seems the @Bitcoin account was suspended, and then deleted by Twitter, and somebody registered it just now completely fresh. I hope the new owner supports the true Bitcoin, and recognises that Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin Cash, not Bitcoin!
https://twitter.com/CobraBitcoin/status/982980460526690305

It was a "subliminal message", if I can say, and not really an April fool prank
I find some of his claims are controversials, you can find some contents from him  telling how "Bitcoin is great" to "There was a long need for a blockchain good for payments, that makes certain tradeoffs to achieve that, and I think from a UX point of view, Bitcoin Cash has much better chances of winning the upcoming payments war than LN."

6757  Other / Meta / Does Cobra control something over Bitcointalk and Bitcoin.org ? on: April 08, 2018, 09:29:44 PM
Who has the full right to the domain names Bitcointalk and Bitcoin.org Who control the registrar accounts?
Theymos or Cobra?

And the same question about the database/servers/etc.
And finally, what is the role of Cobra regarding Bitcointalk and Bitcoin.org

I am sorry if it's something private and so I will understand not getting an answer but I am just interested to know for some reasons
6758  Other / Meta / Re: Stop duplicated account, this is not about mney and togther we build to be better on: April 08, 2018, 06:06:31 PM
The irony is you joined 2 weeks ago and your posts type is "I joined the airdrop,, nice project" "Very nice project, i hope this project will succes very soon and getting a huge community by Airdrop program"

In fact, all your posts are like the ones I posted above. (or at least 50% as I can't see most of the section in the forum. Do you know the adage "Look at yourself in a mirror"?
You are the type of people who join this forum to grab the free money and make it their cash cow, without getting any interest in crypto (other than cheating, scamming for money, making garbages here and there)
6759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Rip @Bitcoin on twitter the propaganda tool for Btrash on: April 08, 2018, 04:27:07 PM

With P2P or things like Purse, fraud is really common, so I'm looking for a reputable reseller like Gyft.

With Purse? How?
If you're talking about the possibility to get a buyer using a stolen card, then, I am not going to say it's impossible, but it's very hard now. They link your IP to a card, if you try to use a card you usually don't need, they will make the life hard for you. So hard that even if you're the legit owner of the card they won't let you use it easily. Not even talking about using a prepaid VVC
