1181  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: --SCAM ALERT- Powerbet.io on: March 25, 2017, 01:14:34 PM
Powerbet.io is a big scam For a long time

And you made this statement based on what?
None of our players that followed our rules and conditions had any problems.

Regarding the OP, here are a couple of screenshots showing his login history on both his accounts:

We hope this will put an end to this false scam accusation!

I was using a vpn service you stupid stupid fraudster i cant access to betting sites from my country unless they are legally registered and suprise suprise you are NOT, neither do you have any license of any kind

That's exactly what I was wondering. How can you prove that the same IP is the same person this day and age? It probably is as a rule of thumb but if 10 people are using the same IP and all speak different dialects or languages it's fairly obvious that they aren't the same person.
1182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin plunges currently at $929! on: March 25, 2017, 03:14:54 AM
Some are moving to other cryptocurrencies, some are selling into fiat. Some are just hedging their risk with the possible hard fork. Sell half of your bitcoins and you have half the risk, right? That's all that's going on. Another day in bitcoin land.
1183  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.02 BTC loan needed to invest into vps to boost my project. on: March 25, 2017, 03:12:21 AM
Reselling your guides is not collateral. It looks like you have a tendency to resell some ebooks without the original author's permission. How can we even be sure these are actually your guides?
1184  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: how to convert private key from WIF to WIF compressed on: March 25, 2017, 03:08:35 AM
Converting your private key will result in a completely different address. Electrum should be able to import any WIF private key.
Well I have a paper wallet with a private key beginning with a 5 (WIF format) but Electrum 2.6.4 seems only to allow to sweep private key beginning with K or L.

When I try to enter my privkey beginning with a 5,  I cannot click on the "Sweep" button whereas I can click on that button when I put a privkey beginning with K or L.

Doesn't 5 at the beginning mean it's encrypted? I guess you've already figured it out, but next time you could always see different values by inputting them on https://www.bitaddress.org if you have any troubles. I'd suggest downloading the website and doing everything offline for added security.
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Message from a random guy to btc community on: March 25, 2017, 03:03:22 AM
I don't really feel like it's that rough of a time. I'm still at at least double what I paid for each coin. Whether we're at $1250CAD or $1700CAD I'm still blown away.
1186  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-24] DCEBrief - IRS Filings Indicate That Few Report Bitcoin on Returns on: March 25, 2017, 02:57:39 AM
Rofl. No shit. Cash me outside howbouda? That's the whole point of cryptocurrencies in my opinion. It's a great way to keep your money stashed away.
1187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Found an old "wallet.dat" - How do I use it? on: March 24, 2017, 05:53:49 PM
Any update? How much was in the wallet?! I'm dying to know! Was this your old hard drive or just one you got yours hands on one way or another?
1188  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tor wallet manage by lenny_ is a scam wallet on: March 24, 2017, 04:50:00 PM
and furthermore the owner publishes his email dr.michael.moriarty@yandex.com right on the website so if you really feel like you got scammed why dont you just email the owner?

You idiot why don't you check my messages I ask if you are the owner of torwallet and you answered yes, then I ask if you can send me the 0.03 that's not reflecting in my torwallet dashboard but showing in the blockexplorer ,but you choose to ignore my message,I'm glad that your profile is now full of shit..

Looks like he's advertising another website in his profile so we can go ahead and assume it's a scam too.

Wouldn't him giving you his torwallet username be the complete opposite of what torwallet be for? Or is it just a random wallet that uses tor for no damn reason at all? EIther way it makes no sense to attach your bitcointalk profile username to your torwallet username.
1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Central Bank Requiring Extreme Customer Verifications at Exchanges on: March 24, 2017, 02:47:09 AM
They have no choice. They're pretty much screwed. Maybe they should move somewhere democratic so they don't have to worry about all of this bullcrap. AML is one thing but writing our where you got your bitcoins!? How the hell will that work for millions of people? The exchanges will need to hire more people for all of the mandatory verifying.
1190  Economy / Speculation / Re: BU gaining more adoption. Price crashing. on: March 23, 2017, 10:49:23 PM
BU has no support. Core wins:

[img]https://s3.postimg.org/gwr5wd14z/bunodes.png[/img

All BU nodes are fake as we can see from the graphs and odd behavior (notice how nodes crash due bugs and instantly everything gets patched when there is a patch out), they all come from the same VPS providers, all fake VMs from Roger Ver except a couple idiots that run it too:

https://bitnodes.21.co/nodes/?q=/https://btcpop.co%20-%20Free%20People%20-%20Free%20Market%20-%20Free%20Money%20-%20BitcoinUnlimited:1.0.1.1/

And even then it's still far from any support. Core still solid 80%+ nodes because people will not trust BUcoin buggy software. Miners are irrelevant and getting paid to go against the majority. They will not fork and if they fork BUcoin gets dumped fast and bad miners get rendered useless via PoW change.

Hahaha omg it's so obvious that it's all the BU devs that are running huge node farms. What a waste of time!!!

These goofs will never be able to take over. Too mistakes right at the beginning of their existence.

HODL forever. Kwukduck can't spread enough FUD for bitcoins to crash.
1191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where I can buy BU coins? (not btc) on: March 23, 2017, 10:46:05 PM
The shitcoin will be in exchanges as soon as BU fork off

BUg will fork off but will be worthless. Don't buy any OP, the hype and the wanting to be the next whale isn't going to pan out in your favour. May I suggest an already established shitcoin?
1192  Economy / Speculation / Re: why i'm not selling my coins on: March 23, 2017, 10:25:40 PM
Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm not selling because bitcoins are way undervalued right now based only on uncertainty. FUD can really screw up the price of an open source worldly currency can't it lol.

Core will get their ass in gear and fix the block size problem or they'll be giving up control. A fork is a shitty option but it had to be threatened so they would do something about it. It's the kick in the ass they need.
1193  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Roger Ver - BitMain - BitcoinUnlimited - SCAM on: March 23, 2017, 10:13:04 PM
I'm not really for or against anything but if you want anyone to take this seriously you'll have to post some facts on what exactly makes bitcoin unlimited a scam...
1194  Economy / Reputation / Re: what happened with xetsr? on: March 23, 2017, 10:08:54 PM
Seriously no update on this still!? I hope he didn't... You know... Because at this point that loan is written off completely.

stfu

Idk wtf you're all butthurt about but PM Timelord2067 about it. This isn't the place.
1195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not treat Core/Blockstream Lightning/Segwit like an Alt? on: March 23, 2017, 09:38:20 PM
Different exchanges will call one bitcoin and the the other bitcoin core or bitcoin unlimited. I don't think it matters at all. If we could have everything all in one big package that'd be the best.
1196  Economy / Services / Re: [BitBlender] Signature Campaign - Seniors and up (CFNP) on: March 22, 2017, 06:30:45 PM
Oh! I'm a hero! I don't know when that happened but if that could get updated on the spreadsheet that'd be awesome. Woot woot!
Afraid I can't open any additional hero spots at this point, I can keep you for senior rates, if you want to.

Damn  Embarrassed I thought I'd be ok because of this

I usually try setting things up in a way that allows me keeping existing members.
While I got no budget for an additional hero member, the difference between seniors and heros is something I can cover.

Keep me enrolled either way.
1197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possibility of Fork ever closer ??! on: March 22, 2017, 06:26:42 PM
Let's see, nodes crashed again. Hashrate for BU went from 41% to 37% in a day. Fix for bug is closed source. Looks like BU is starting to unravel, so I would say we are getting further away. A 51% attack would be a huge mistake and possibly force a POW change. The next few days may shed some light on this but I am personally starting to think this BU experiment is failing.

Closed source is the worst part about it. The experiment can't last forever. Another bug was found of course so we won't be seeing a fork in the immediate future that's for sure.
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: March 22, 2017, 06:23:08 PM
It was kind of like someone let go of a stretched out elastic. We went BOOM down $300, back up 150, down 80... it's just so all over the place. I don't think we're recovering I think there was an upwards correction after the panic selling.
1199  Economy / Services / Re: [BitBlender] Signature Campaign - Seniors and up (CFNP) on: March 19, 2017, 11:56:20 AM
Oh! I'm a hero! I don't know when that happened but if that could get updated on the spreadsheet that'd be awesome. Woot woot!
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: Are the Winklevoss twins selling off their Bitcoin stash? on: March 19, 2017, 03:03:15 AM
I highly doubt it. Their clients are relying on them to have bitcoins in the future so they couldn't just sell everything off. That and I think you're overestimating how many bitcoins they really have lol.
