Very strange line today on Cleveland vs Boston.
I'm going with Cleveland -2 @ 1.93 but with very small amount.
The second bet is LA Lakers + 4 @1.92
Opinions?

Those are good bets IMO. Cleveland is getting Irving back soon and with Shumpert already playing I wouldn't be surprised if they get a nice win streak.
2542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reasons for a possible BTC price decline? on: December 15, 2015, 03:09:40 AM
I think Satoshi's identity reveal can bring some bad news in these days, however the value is rising. But just for speculation, imagine if we found out that Satoshi has millions of BTC or other bad things and it was all a dishonest endeavor from the get go. That will be a huge hit on Bitcoin image.
2543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the point of collateral? on: December 14, 2015, 11:39:04 PM
I think collateral makes more sense for lenders and that's why it is required, but the ones asking for the loans are always better off saving the money or actually putting that collateral to good use. Loans should always be avoided but that's not the point of the discussion, so collateral is a necessity.
2544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [SPECULATION] Next big thing in online gambling? on: December 14, 2015, 11:24:11 PM
I can speak only of Bitcoin, but I would like to see a Bitcoin's Poker Stars or something to that extent, so live texas hold'em. I had the idea of developing a Bitcoin's FanDuel/DraftKings type of site but it involved plenty of work and money, that would be another.
2545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina’s New President Might Just be a Bitcoin Supporter on: December 14, 2015, 10:50:30 PM
The real debate is not if Argentina adopts Bitcoin as the local currency (that would be crazy and not sure if it can actually work, Bitcoin price could be easily manipulated by other countries or Argentina itself if they buy a huge share). What I can envision happening is the government backing Bitcoin alternative payment method. From paying parking tickets to fees or small taxes, that sort of thing.

You could pay those with regular cash or pesos, but just giving people this option for new generations could be amazing for the development of Bitcoin.
2546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina’s New President Might Just be a Bitcoin Supporter on: December 14, 2015, 07:30:03 PM
Well it's not all or nothing of course, but if they introduce Bitcoin as an alternative and become a Bitcoin friendly country that would be a huge push for people to notice. Argentina has a long history of parallel currencies because of how unstable their economy either on short or long periods. That's why Bitcoin flourished there in the first place and many entrepreneurs got interested in it, like Wences Casares from Xapo.
2547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina’s New President Might Just be a Bitcoin Supporter on: December 14, 2015, 06:58:02 PM
Well I wasn't thinking they will actually adopt Bitcoin as national currency which is rather over the top, but they may implement it somehow at some level for exchanges, digital payments for services or government taxes and things like that.
2548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ads for bitcoin in cinemas? - Update 1 on: December 14, 2015, 05:26:01 PM
The problem is that many here think Bitcoin is so easy to use and it's not, it's actually as complicated as it gets for common people. It's like downloading a movie, it's very easy to use torrents for many of us because we are tech savvy or work in a related field (I'm a designer myself). I'm not advocating piracy, just a quick example. Most people above 30 (and many below, specially women) won't be able to download a torrent and make it work let alone use Bitcoin and not screw up transactions or lose money. Just getting a hold of it is a hassle specially worldwide.

So let's first focus on what's the goal of Bitcoin and if it's realistic for mass adoption. I don't think so in its current form but it's definitely a completely unique and innovative technology.
2549  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is Betcoin.tm 4 real? on: December 14, 2015, 04:49:37 PM
I've sign up for their free bonus, I didn't win anything but used the support and it was working perfectly. The whole site also didn't have any issues so I'm sure they are legit. The problem is that we always have to be alert with Bitcoin, it's the wild wild west out there.
2550  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2015, 04:47:37 PM
So far I've bought a huge share of an altcoin which is being constantly dumped. It's my fault since I didn't know the whole market is heavy manipulated and features or projects don't matter at all, just the will of the few who pull the strings. Hopefully I can dump my share soon when the price is pumped again. I advise anyone new to not mess around with what you don't know. I also gain a lot of profit but you are one bad trade away.

And no, you don't have to know anything about it, this is not the stock market, the coin could be amazing and new features can be announced and it will still drop 10 times in value in a week. Unless you have some inside info from pump groups or whales, don't crypto trade.
2551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina’s New President Might Just be a Bitcoin Supporter on: December 14, 2015, 03:43:24 PM
I'm not from Argentina but from a near-by country so I'm aware about Argentina relation with Bitcoin. Xapo's CEO for example is argentinian and as you said due to devaluation it was highly adopted by many people (not by the mainstream but still). But this intrigues me because I know Macri is keen to implement "modern" ideas as he was mayor of Buenos Aires not long ago.
2552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Argentina’s New President Might Just be a Bitcoin Supporter on: December 14, 2015, 03:23:48 PM
"Mauricio Macri was sworn as the new president of Argentina on December 10, 2015. He confronts enormous economic challenges. He received a country with an inflation rate estimated at between 15 to 27 percent, foreign reserves at a ten-year low, plus a decade-long series of struggles with holders of defaulted debt. One of his highest priorities is to grapple with the nation’s currency controls. Also, he has vowed to end corruption, poverty and drug trafficking.

Interestingly, President Macri has just created a new national Ministry of Modernization. And, he immediately appointed as the Minister of Modernization none other than the man who organized and participated in the First Bitcoin Forum in Buenos Aires, Mr. Andrés Ibarra."

If Argentina implements Bitcoin at a regional level it will have a HUGE impact on the market since it could be a very rich and powerful country if it's properly administrated with many resources. Plus it can set the the tone for others to follow. What do you guys think?

2553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ads for bitcoin in cinemas? - Update 1 on: December 14, 2015, 02:55:23 PM
Bitcoin doesn't need to be advertised, people will adopt it or not, you can't force them. I think if that's the goal then it's not prepared for that, try to explain non tech savvy people or your near family about decimals, wallets, qr codes, authorization keys, etc...
2554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we trade Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: December 14, 2015, 02:50:38 PM
Bitcoin would be the smallest problem in that event. Internet is not only pornhub, many financial companies and instruments depend on it, civilization as we know it will change. It's like asking how we will log in to Facebook? We won't.
2555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins going down they said on: December 14, 2015, 02:46:38 PM
Not going to happen anytime soon unless something drastic happen. Right now it will fluctuate and raise in value year by year until it either disappears or become a worldwide standard for certain payments or worldwide  transactions. Perhaps it can be some sort of nexus between fiat and digital transactions if adopted by banks and credit cards.
2556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: December 13, 2015, 09:48:17 PM
Gambling is just for fun, pure entertainment and nothing else. Don't fear it or put it on a pedestal, that's what gives it power. Just have some fun and bet what you can afford to lose, think of that money as already gone and you'll be surprised if you win. Do it again if you feel good, but remember that money's already gone. If you manage to cash out with profits then you can buy something nice for your girlfriend. If not, then you were definitely entertained during the time.
2557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: December 13, 2015, 06:31:33 PM
Very surprising win by the Bucks yesterday. But of course like many of us said it was logical the Warriors will have an off game and the chances were bigger for them losing in a back to back game on the road.

Do you guys think Cleveland can win @ The Oracle on Christmas day? They are still flawless at home.
2558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔$250k Investment, DigiByte Gaming, #DigiByteTip, DigiSpeed on: December 13, 2015, 06:27:53 PM
I have bought in the 80 sat range. 19 Mio dgb. This investment is a very big failure for me. 66 % loss. I am really pissed off with that whole project. And I have no fun to hang around in the thread and looking for some probably good news.

Okay long term coin, but do I really want to wait 1 year or more until price begins to fly? I do not know. But bagholding without interest reward is money destruction at its best.

you can sell everytyhing you have and run if you think in wrong place.
are you ready read about history of bitcoin dude? how long bitcoin get nice price since born?
if you fear to loss, do not investment in crypto world
no one can be rich so instantly

I'm in the same situation, bought at the same range and this is a complete failure so far. I personally will get out in the next pump if that's the game we are playing here in the altcoin community, my faith is completely gone, I would rather keep my investment in BTC and that's it. However I will still have my voice heard, know what you are getting into, all it matters is Bitcoin price and pump & dumps, that's it, the rest doesn't matter at all. Features, potential, functionality, etc, don't bother. It's sad for the serious developers out there, but I see you can make or lose the same amount of money investing into shady projects like I don't know, Rimbit. Those are the rules, it's a jungle out there. So don't make the same mistake I did, believing you are part of something special or different.
2559  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It has been five days, so disappointed on: December 13, 2015, 02:43:32 PM
The site is legit as far as I know, but if you lose that kind of amount you must be seriously disappointed and what you have left is minimal compared, I'm sure they will sort it out. An advice for the future is to not bet that kind of money, just have fun and bet what you can afford to lose, like it's already gone. Threads like this appear everyday here sadly.
