2741  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your views on Bitcoins future on: November 15, 2015, 04:48:10 PM
I think he is referring to replacing digital payment methods not currencies (altcoins). We all have an opinion but really nobody knows for sure what Bitcoin future is. For other areas, we can foresee how a company may do next year depending on its growth, plans, etc. But Bitcoin world is a volatile one, full of uncertainties.

Take this into consideration, what would happen if tomorrow France discovered that the attacks were funded with Bitcoin therefore declaring it illegal? This would be a huge hit on BTC value. There are plenty of stuff like that are quite pausible. On the other hand, Bitcoin gets more and more interest from huge companies every month so maybe next year it could find a niche, for example replacing Western Union and the demand becomes huge. Another option is that something else appears that is more easily accepted by the mainstream (Bitcoin is not easy to work or understand for common people)

In conclusion, it can be worth millions or nothing in the next years. Trying to figure out its future its futile.
2742  Economy / Economics / Re: My 21BTC Dream on: November 14, 2015, 11:18:31 PM
I like your idea, it has a romantic and clear goal, 21M BTC so 21 coins. We all want BTC to be valued at 1M but let's face it, it's a long long shot. However, I can definitely see BTC increasing in value as it has in the last years. So I think you will make money, perhaps a lot, maybe not 21M but 1M is definitely possible if as others have said Bitcoin is more required and the overall supply is scarce.

What a bunch of scam artists. I've tried to get my "neucoins" they offered in not one, but two giveaways with no luck. I was so naive that I even wrote in their forum, nothing. I think they even deleted my post. That alone will tell you everything you need to know about the men behind this project.

If I were you I wouldn't expend a dime on this.

Cleveland can lose today, it was close yesterday and today is a back-to-back game. Obviously it won't surprise anyone if they win, but what I'm saying that tonight is a good chance with good odds from what I checked.

Now i have 2.420.510 dgb and i will sell 1.210.000 dgb when the price go to 0.01$. And then i will sell the other dgb if the price go to 0.50$. This is a good idea for you?

Hehe, that's a great plan you got there man. I think no matter what price you get in, from 50 to 100 satoshi (and even a little more) if you plan for the long run you'll get a profit eventually. If not, well, something catastrophic would happen, both to DGB and BTC and if you think about that amount although is a big amount for me it's not that much in fiat really.

It goes without saying that for speculation and very short term trading then many altcoins fit the bill, not only DGB.
2747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Winning Team Prediction Tips on: November 14, 2015, 01:46:32 PM
Like the pick here. Don't really get why the Boston team is favored by 1 point against a really good Hawks team. It has some great value tonight and I think it'll be an easy win for the Hawks.

Almost same odds. Maybe because of Celtics' homecourt advantage that's why they favored by only a single point.

Not sure about today's Cavs @ Knicks game. I think my Cavs are not really playing that well and they can easily lose tonight at the Madison. However, having seen this team this year and the one before, in these type of scenarios they usually play they best. Plus I can Jr Smith explode tonight, even with his ugly season so far.

Watch their first meetup? Just a few days after James rest from treatment he received before this season but look how he and his team played in that game. He is much healthy now. Now lets see if the Knicks can take revenge.

It was close but very similar to what I anticipated, the Knicks are an intriguing team this year and playing at home they are even more dangerous. However the same pattern repeated again, Cavs take over in the final quarter. So my advice is to negotiate your odds while betting on Cleveland, they seem to always start slow.

I agree with all of the above.
But think about it this way. Of all the coins available now, which coin do you trust in ever being worth $1? When you compare the coins that aren't already, you see that only a small list will be left, and DGB is one of them on that list. Also the DGB community keeps growing and the creators are one of the most determined guys to make this a big success.

With that in mind owning a million DGB or so is an incredible tempting thought. That's why I'm an DGB investor as well, because I believe this coin still has much, much space to grow.

It really has, it's very undervalued, while other projects that are perfectly serious and established are already priced close to a $1 or approaching that. DGB still has a long way to go. So in conclusion to the original post asking what we see in this coin, well basically, it can only go up if this crypto thing flourishes. Just do your maths and you'll see that if you remove a couple of zeros at the left of the current value your million DGBs can actually be worth A LOT if you hold it long enough.
2750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔$250k Investment, DigiByte Gaming, #DigiByteTip, DigiSpeed on: November 13, 2015, 11:05:20 AM

I've bought again recently at 80ish satoshis. If you are unsure you should wait, maybe it goes around 50-60, we can never know. Right now I think it's not a great time to buy nor sell, just wait it out. I did it because I plan to hold it long plan either way (if there's a pump in the next weeks and goes to 150 or so I'll sell again...).

So my advice is that, if you feel this project is not worth the long plan investment, just speculate with it. If you think this will be valued at 500 or more satoshis as you said in the next months, then that question is answered. The coin is great, the people behind it are amazing, but no one can't assure this will really take off...same with Bitcoin really.

Most of the DigiByte supporters already have a stache of coins that they keep for long term. I haven't seen many of them actually buying the coins at 90.

P.S. correct me if im wrong, but you seemed to be "Buy...ALL IN" at 90 SAT? just to let you know for myself, i don't trade like that. used to but never will ever again. what you are doing and what i used to do...is like trying to be 'smart', to be 'accurate', to think 'we know the price well'. In all truths, nobody knows the price well - when it will move and to where it will move. the moment you think you know the price, you have set yourself down towards the path of losses. the only time you know the price well is when you are lucky. indicators and graphs can only tell you so much, moving average and those kind of statistics. But they are all never 100% reliable.

Why people do this is because they want to maximize their gains. but one must understand such a move is extremely risky. it is not a low risk move. its considered as a high risk move, EVEN if intel tells you price will be like this and like that. The only believable intel is...unfortunately...knowing that a certain whale or whale group is going to pump or dump for real. and then you make your moves before it happens. but it is also why its seen as 'ugly'. in the real world of stocks and shares, illegal - market manipulation, inside info, etc. But if you are good enough as a trader, sometimes there are foretelling signs of a whale group pumping/dumping. one doesn't have to be a whale to manipulate or be part of the P&D Group to earn. if you are that good, people will acknowledge you as good. its not an ugly thing if you can really see those signs. because you weren't part of the P&D group and didn't pump or dump.

Here's what i did (a rough description) for DGB - i put a buy order at around 80-90, 70-80, 60-70, 50-60 SAT price levels. each buy order is worth around 20k-100k. i don't buy all in at 90 sat. likewise, i do the same for selling. what i am doing is to prepare myself for both ups and downs. Conquer the reachable price levels. Environmental Control on all/most reachable price ranges. No Risk. Only Risk is DigiByte dies (unlikely). No Panics. No Impulse. Volatility Proof. Doesn't need a lot of capital if you strategize well. I may be losing opportunities with my BTC/DGB sitting there. But that's how it is. You can't have everything. Either you maximize gains but risk every bit of control or have everything under control with moderate gains. i cant say the same for others that they are doing what i am doing.

May the Trade be in your favors  Grin

Yes, I've bought a little lower than 90 though. I also didn't went really "All In", maybe 60-70% tops (what I have in my amount exclusively reserved for DGB). But I completely agree on your view, a different approach as you mentioned is definitely wiser. However for me even Bitcoin is money that I can lose tomorrow. I really don't have that much money invested, I understand it will be A LOT of money for all of us but only if one or both take off. But right now, if one has 1 or 5 BTC (perhaps even 10) or a million DGB, we can't really say we own a fortune (and I live in South America...). One can spend that amount in a couple of months or less, so we are not talking about losing our life savings or major investments.

As an investor not as a trader, investing heavily in Bitcoin and Digibyte is kind of nuts because as you perfectly mentioned we don't know the price. Only in crypto this is even worse! The behavior is not really based on the same variables we are used to, we can theorize all we want but we really don't know if in an year all this will be worth thousands, even millions or nothing. We are almost betting on technology if you ask me.

Besides the copying of the document it starts to read like a story, I'm already wondering what will happen next to the commander and his battalion.  Cheesy

I know  Smiley

That's the best part of it! It's like reading a novel, only that's really happenned
A documendary of WW2 from the inside, a day by day war journal, written by and for some unknown heroes. You can almost hear the bombs falling

I agree it's great to follow the stories of these men. Anyway I'm already @ page 20 in 1st Infantry Division Combat Interviews - Battle of Hamich Ridge (Hurtgen Forest). Is there any time constraint or deadline for the files? I would like to take on Mar 1945 -- 297 pages after this but it will take me a while...

I appreciate the work you guys are putting in but sometimes the questions are ridiculous, I just posted a status update 5 minutes before you asked if it's available.

I'm sorry we posted at the same time basically so I checked the list after.

Jez everytime i buy DGB the price goes down, so if this coin is so undervalued why is it there has been nothing but sell, sell, sell on Cryptsy for the last 3 days...if its that good a coin why are people selling it...is it just one of them coins that goes up on Hype & down when the hype is over?
Is it a trade only coin...buy on the low sell on the highs?
Im just trying to understand why its such an up & down coin... Huh

If you so called DGB supporters here think its worth 500 sats or more then please explain why you aint buying any now @ 90sats
If you think its that good you like telling me if you thought BTC was worth $500 & you were able to buy it for $90 you would not buy any at that price.....you lot crack me up how you go on about its worth but when you have a chance to buy it cheap you do nothing...great support you lot are

2755  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why is there such an insurgence of flat-earthers in 2015? on: November 12, 2015, 07:24:09 PM
I think that sometimes simple explanations makes more sense to common people like us that are not into science. If tomorrow scientists discover parallel dimensions like I read some days ago, I can't hardly tell if that's truth or not really.

In this is case is a little ridiculous we can mostly agree, but not sure how many percentage of the population can actually understand and prove. Only a handful have been in the outer space. There are very few actual photos of deep space, the moon, even Mars. We have selfies all over the world, amazing panoramas. Where are the on site Mars pictures, valleys, etc? Any HD videos? That would be amazing, but what we have it's all CGI or satellite blurry stuff.

Not sure, the Wolves are young and fun to watch but the Warriors are a real seasoned team. I don't think they will have any problems tonight.

Yes I agree, but what I'm saying is that why us the good posters have to pay for the spammers's misbehavior? I think it would be better and more fair to filter and remove spammers than to cut rates for all of us.
2758  Economy / Services / Re: INCREASED PAYOUT(7/13) ۩۞۩ secondstrade.com ★ signature campaign★weekly 0.03btc on: November 12, 2015, 02:29:14 PM

hi? i am very afraid  we are considering downward of payout rate from next week, because there are so many people that i  can not manage every information.

when we go down the payout rates, i will notice again.
thank you.

i found someone who can. he will notice me non-constructive posts from now on.
thank you.

What effect will this have on the rates? Will they remain the same now that the campaign will be managed to remove non-constructive posters?

I think this is unfair for many of us who produce good quality posts and promote your brand image the right way. You really can't have spammers flooding threads all over this forum, eventually people will start to associate your site and service with that.
2759  Economy / Services / Re: INCREASED PAYOUT(7/13) ۩۞۩ secondstrade.com ★ signature campaign★weekly 0.03btc on: November 11, 2015, 11:47:31 PM
I see many users coming back to this campaign and I'm sure it is because there is almost nothing better than Seconds Trade. I've been part of this for 3 weeks or so and I can say the payment is always on time and support is great. I didn't like the cut on prices (considering now BTC price has dropped) but this is still one if not the best campaign to join in this forum.

Yes agreed. I left for a better payout only to then have the payout cut so had no hesitation in returning to Seconds Trade. However I do not think Seconds Trade has cut payouts and is one of the Campaigns that have held constant throughout the recent ups & downs?

Rich

Well it wasn't a cut per se, my bad. Last week the posts limit per week were limited to 50 max (it was 70 before). I post regularly and try to write good quality posts in topics that I enjoy reading and sharing information, so to me doing more than 50 good posts is perfectly doable without having a second thought or count them to see if I can get more money or whatever.

On the other hand, I guess it's a good option to keep the spammers at bay and with the recent pump it was also expensive to maintain. Hopefully it can return to 70, if not I understand and it's ok with me.

What amount of DGB would you guys consider a GREAT amount to own. I realize it's subjective.

I can't afford more than what I regularly have, less than 500.000 DGBs. Sometimes I sell and buy low, etc but I always keep a stash long term. If you have faith in this coin, then investing $100-200 USD won't hurt if this never takes off. It's the same with Bitcoin really, in a couple of years it could be worth nothing.

However, if the DGB project really gets momentum (not some quick pump) then having half a million or a million, will mean you will get A LOT of money from your small investment.

Honestly, this is the same story for many altcoins, there are other legit projects of course, I'm not sure which could actually achieve real success. I don't have the time not the will to have $50 or $100 on every one of them in case one goes to the moon. But one thing I know for sure is that Digibyte has a lot of people with passion working on it, it's a established project and they are always trying to improve on its original idea.
