In an effort to get dividends for this operation rolling as soon as possible, I have come to an agreement to purchase 1 BFL Single from forum user kibblesnbits. This single should be shipped out tomorrow and dividends will begin being paid shortly after receipt of the device. Looking forward to becoming a fellow shareholder. Have it shipped first thing Monday morning. I have in my possession, a revision 1 BFL Single sent by kibblesnbits. Tonight I will use the BFL software to test and load the appropriate bitstream. Once the appropriate bitstream has been loaded, I will begin a 24 hour test to make sure the unit is functioning properly. If everything checks out, I will get this thing hashing for us in hopes to provide a small dividend this coming Saturday. YAY!

Having another layer of security (pin login) after logging in would be great. Or maybe just use a pin when withdrawals are performed.
Google Authenticator is free and pretty easy to Integrate. The one thing I would note is to not display the pairing info after say 24 hours after they first enable it, that way an attack must compromise a users device to clone it, not just a quick access to their account.

[quote author=flower1024 link=topic=83904.msg1038073#msg1038073 i think everbody should have its own risk-management (i even see bitcoinmax as paybt.c's risk-management for pirate) and should decide for himself how much he is willing to risk and what he thinks are safe invests. [/quote] ^^^ this.
If you want insurance then go get a bond that offers insurance.
IMHO Bitcoinmax is for people that want to get as close to pirate as possible, but don't have the opportunity, for this we pay a measly 0.1%.
There are bonds out there (namely the PPT.x) that will insure you if you do not want to get that close to pirate.
And for the record I agree with payb.tc.... GLBSE can be a PIA. I think that bitcoinmax is a near perfect solution (nail down a solid way to secure withdrawals and I will remove near).

Mess with the QR code too much, and some device somewhere at some time won't be able to read it. "It works with my device" is not an argument a designer should use.
I rarely ever agree with Vandroiy; however he is 100% on this. We are not trying to be Apple (are we?) also keep in mind that these bills may be given to people who are like 'WTF is bitcoin?' but QR codes are becoming more and more widespread new (even on my potato chips and ketchup). If you start changing that your average user may not connect it is a QR code and say 'OH gee thanks for this piece of paper, but i don't know what to do with it' To specifically hit on the bolded part of the quote: There are reasons there are specifications and not just "hey make it kinda like this, test it on your smartphone, then you are good to go!"

marlath explains: The bid wall dropped and the dump started at exactly 2:06:18 EST. He posted that 'good night' message at 2:06:28 EST. ( http://pastebin.com/PthgrzDS) He had a full ten seconds to paste that message. This is how this pirate has conned everyone into thinking he is anything but BS. He has a websocket client that isn't lagged like the popular html5 ones are, and simply waits for the action on that to start and then announces that he caused it. Everyone using some browser based feed doesn't see the drop until after he saw it and announced it hoping people wouldn't notice that his announcement comes long after the actual move he claims credit for. I don't actuall buy this... I was watching a live (web socket) stream of fox AND in IRC (seem my constant messages about ;ticker being lagged) and when pirate pasted the link to the nickelback song "burn it to the ground" is when the drop happened. The timing was far too perfect to be coincidence IMHO.

So... bad time to sell my coins on intersango then Someone needs to make another GBP exchange. I have a choice between intersango or mtgox... Just trying to decide now which is the bigger evil... Could always do OTC My impressions from that were that not many people use it, assuming you mean sites like www.localbitcoins.com? Or do you mean just hanging out in #bitcoin-otc and asking people occasionally if they want to buy coins? I was referring to #bitcoin-otc No need to hang around... there is an order book

So you keep all of your cash under your pillow then?
No, but I might keep some there, and some in my backyard buried behind the doghouse of my 130 pound, foaming-at-the mouth rotweiller, and some hidden in my attic with booby-trapped access, and some in my fireproof safe, and some in a bank safe deposit box, and some in the bank, and some... I have mine protected by 100 ninja minons. I keep mine under my tinfoil hat.
