Just to clarify: withdrawals will only ever be processed manually, correct? This is just a request?
As I understand it he aims to make withdrawals as pain-free as possible without actually making them automatic. See these 2 quotes: if i open it up to non-forum members contacting me, i'll have to have all my scripts in place and as much automated as possible so that i can create accounts / do withdrawals with 1 click, etc.
bitcoind won't be part of this site... any signup form would draw from a database that's been pre-populated with off-server addresses.
I imagine the goal is for him to be able to look at the list of requested withdrawals, see that they look reasonable, and click something to submit them to the computer that actually has the ability to make the payments. I agree.. that is my understanding as well... I just want to clarify that there is no bitcoind or way for a hack to bitcoinmax to get our actual coins.

where do you go to sell something at a higher price than what the market is willing to pay for it ?
Where people who buy it don't want to be in public. Its easy to buy anything anonymously at market price ,just have an agent make the buys on your behalf I doubt theres some billionaire/organisation paying pirate way over the odds to buy into bitcoin he claims to be making around 10%+ per week so its easy for him to pay up to 7% and still make a killing ...... Very interesting ....... You assume that selling the coin is the only service pirate provides.

Hi ErebusBat,
The google zebra-crossing library (zxing) is very good for reading QR codes. (I use it already). The problem with a general scan solution is camera support. There are too many different sorts of camera on various platforms.
You can imagine: 'I have a OEM Logitech 933 scanner hooked up via wifi to a Windows Vista machine and your software does not work.' That's a semi-infinite task I would not want to do if being paid, nevermind for free.
:-)
Jim
Good point. I had assumed that the library would abstract the camera out (like any supported windows imaging supported camera)

Do you run the BFL-Software? Did you consider using cgminer instead? I don't know how well the BFL-Software works, but cgminer seems to distribute shares among pools very efficiently, so only few shares are lost, if the main pool is lagging or down.
This is a good question.... I have heard very good things about cgminer. Also now that we are getting to business... did you have any plans of putting up a status page OgNasty so we can check on the farm status?

No scanning QR codes from iPhone do not work yet.
Do you expect to get that working? That would be insanely cool! You cannot export private keys but you can import them soon, in fact might be a pretty good idea to be able to export them, I will look into this.
I think this would be best... then people wouldn't feel trapped in. Also i would export it to my desktop wallet so I could spend without having to drag out my phone, but also have the mobile ability as well (this is how I use blockchain.info's MyWallet too. Thanks for the link.... What is the track name? I didn't find it immediately obvious.

Auto-tuning it now with BFL software to determine the proper bitstream.
I auto-tuned the BFL Single and installed the 832MH/s bitstream as recommended. Testing is currently underway and this BFL Single will be hashing for us before the end of the day... Which brings us to a question. What pool do we want to use? For those not familiar with GPUMAX, when public work is not available, it falls back to your standard pool. I'll admit I haven't researched Bitcoin Mining Pools in a while, but did go over a few of the larger ones last night. I decided that Ozcoin Mining Pool would work best for our purposes, due to their low fees, automatic NMC->BTC conversion, and Double Geometric Payout Method. If no shareholders are opposed, in addition to GPUMAX, we will be mining with Ozcoin. This morning I setup an account and set the donation rate at 1%, but am open to suggestions on what we should be making as far as a pool donation as well. With my measly share count I have the following input: - Use GPUMAX, as long as we don't have some of the timeout errors other have been reporting
- I think 1% donation is a good idea, karma people karma
- I am not in a position to compare pools, so I will abstain from that vote
Also I assume that the dividends will not payout at the contracted 20Mh/share yet. Do we have a count of what the Mh/share will be for these first tiny payouts?

#2) People don't like to believe that some regular guy can make at least 7% a week. After all, most people here aren't making 7% per week, especially if you're not investing with Pirate or a pass-through.
Counter-point to #2) It is absolutely possible for this to happen. I've made 2000% in about 8 months from trading alone. That 2000% doesn't include mining profits, product sales, or service sales. Nor was it a full time job. It was day trading. And it was only on two exchanges. And neither was Mt. Gox.
Hi I have tried a few times day trading, but with the fees @MtGox in the end I have had (if I won) the same (or lower) as before the trades -> meaning that the really profit has made MtGox therefore: is there any chart with comparing the fees from all of the exchanges anywhere? TIA Check out http://bitcoin-analytics.com/

The output is a simple textfile Pattern: 123abc Address: 123abc287--------------------------------- Privkey: 5KWYR------------------------------------- Pattern: 123abc Address: 123abcq6---------------------------------- Privkey: 5K7in-------------------------------------
I would make Pattern an optional field as this format is pretty universal and could be re-used for most purposes.

In the latter case you would probably want to delete the key out the wallet entirely for more security (once you have checked it has printed ok, obviously).
This got me thinking.... it would be nice to have a verify function, where you could scan the bill and MultiBit would give you a go/no-go if it could read+decode the bill. Obviously this would depend on a suitable QR scanning library being available

Another present is a 12-day trip to US (but it will happen in September-October holiday).
If you are in my area of Wyoming I will buy you lunch! (I get a picture though.... you are a celebrity, like it or not!)
