Disclaimer: I think that the Avalon team shouldn't even be compared to BFL and other more or less scams. Yet I feel their focus is more on building up their own production line than delivering Avalons whch were or are means of getting them funded.
I still see good chances of my Avalon purchase getting a success, BTC-wise which is all that counts for me.
We should thank Avalon of at least being ONE counterweight to ASICMiner. I guess team Avalon will be able to enjoy some time of good earnings before other big players kick in (helveticoin and whatnot).

Erstmal Gratulation, Oliver - bitcoin.de war immer erreichbar wenn der grosze Rest Pause gemacht hat. Gox lagt, bitcoin-24 in troubles, nichtmal bitcoincharts und bitcoinity waren verlaesslich.
Meine Frage zum momentanen Preis: Ist der so hoch weil man hier kein Geld auf eine Boerse transferieren muss und daher einkaufen kann, bis das Konto leer ist?
Oder sind im Moment die Kursschwankungen und damit das Risiko, dass der Kaeufer nicht zahlt hoeher?

In exchange most companies worked on Sunday - so 1 day public holiday.
Calculate how much profit they can make by delaying the shipping for one day, and what the consequences would be if they do. And then you tell me if you wouldn't in that situation....

Actually I noticed a 4 day blackout with 2 of my suppliers in Shenzhen so the 4th of April turned into an extended 4 day weekend :-) Most of Chinese company were in Qing Ming holiday from Apr-4th to Apr-6th. and worked on sunday 7th |

ich bin dabei eine (die erste?) Bitcoin GmbH in Oesterreich zu gruenden.
Vorstellen wuerde ich mir einen jungen angehenden Steuerberater bzw. Anwalt, der sich nicht scheut sich mit der FMA auseinanderzusetzen und neue Gefilde zu erschlieszen usw...
Diejenigen die ich bis jetzt kontaktiert habe sich nicht sonderlich scharf darauf sich neben ihren etablierten Klienten (Fleischhacker, Maurer, Frisoere etc) mit mir Broesel einzuhandeln.
Waere auch bereit, den Spezialisten als Gesellschafter in die GmbH zu lassen. Bitte meldet euch, wenn euch jemand einfaellt.

prepare yourself for another delay, just a feeling. I don't think so. If they delay it another time, that's another ~100btc lost for each avalon for each customer. So what you're gonna do about it? Anyways I hope you're tight and I am wrong. I think they outsourced batch 1 production and are going to do batch 2 themselves. Starting up a new production line takes time and there is simply no reason why they shouldn't take that time. It was said there will be a newsletter regarding trade-ins a week before batch 2 ships, I didn't get that yet. Bitcoin ASIC business is pretty much a seller's market, so shut up and queue in line. Still I think team Avalon is by far the most honest and trustworthy team selling ASIC's out there. If I can mine the BTC back I invested within a reasonable time I'm already happy. |

As it is part of running a betting service, sometimes we have to make some decisions that will not please all of our users. This is certainly one of these cases. I agree that the bet description statements are barely satisfied but the bet is actually on "shipping" of a commercial product. To the best of our judgment the pictured device is still an internal development unit within the company premises, even if it is somehow "owned" by a non-employee. As far as I can see even BFL doesn't officially claim shipping. Under these circumstances we can not rule the statement as false. Our decision is currently not final and we will be listening your input for a few days before the final decision. Feel free to raise your opinion.

I really don't get why AA would not be used by the manufacture to mine, if they were worth more than 75 BTC.
Mainly for the decentralization of bitcoin. I just don't buy this...no one rationally does that in a commercial concern.... if you would have a machine which could produce diamonds the size of a child's head - would you have interest to flood the market with it? |

The money still isn't on my account, it's 24 confirmations now. What makes me a little angry is their attitude of not looking into this before 48 hours go by.
