Since he didn't say squat, I assume he's just torturing Batch 1 just to surprise the customers.. Kinda like how Satoshi dice 0 will scare you with a monkey.

thing is: this is mafia-controlled, so you better do not piss anybody off Wink
and stealing somebodies piece of the cake by making his services unnecessary will do exactly that.

If you already have set up your infrastructure to deal securities it's simply the most convenient way...
1468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bash script for starting application which depends on running bitcoind on: February 19, 2013, 02:50:33 AM
I need the su because bitcoind is running as another user - so

Code:
root@box:~# bitcoind getinfo
error: incorrect rpcuser or rpcpassword (authorization failed)

doesn't work.

however this does:

Code:
root@box:~# cat /sbin/bitcoindgetinfo
#!/bin/bash
su bitcoin -c 'while ! bitcoind getinfo > /dev/null 2>&1; do echo waiting ; sleep 1; done'
1469  Bitcoin / Legal / Exchange listed Bitcoin Investment Fund on: February 18, 2013, 02:25:59 PM
 What would it take to make such and list it on an OTC venture exchange? Investment philosophy would be simply if you sell a paper you buy a fixed amount of Bitcoin for it and you always guarantee to buy it back for the value of the amount at any time (minus some spread of course).

Anybody here got knowledge how difficult/expensive it is to get this listed somewhere?
1470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bash script for starting application which depends on running bitcoind on: February 18, 2013, 11:41:29 AM
I somehow don't get it working... output below - maybe somebody smarter than me has mercy and helps me out.

Code:
root@box:~# cat /sbin/bitcoindgetinfo
#!/bin/bash
while ! `su bitcoin -c 'bitcoind getinfo'` > /dev/null 2>&1; do echo waiting ; sleep 1; done

root@box:~# su bitcoin -c 'bitcoind getinfo'

Hi - thanks for your fast reaction to my PM - could you maybe state a few words on the estimated time of delivery? I am sure everybody is interested!
1472  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon ASIC] Batch #2 pre-Sale Thread on: February 18, 2013, 03:44:46 AM
plain gambling.

what isn't?

Still would a confirmation email stating ordered goods and the correct delivery address be too much to ask for?
1474  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Avalon ASIC Batch #2 Sales Update (Last Updated 2013-02-12 17:56 EST) on: February 13, 2013, 05:38:39 AM
All partially paid orders from 2012-02-02 have a deadline of 2013-02-13 17:00 EST to complete payment.All orders which have not been paid in full will be refunded to the sending address unless otherwise instructed. Payment instructions can be obtained and return addresses can be given to WalletBit support at http://support.walletbit.com.

could you eventually send that as an email, as not everybody is following this thread here?

I vote for spending your energies on this ^^^ and not on this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142083.0 . I guess the other Avalon (future-) customers would also appreciate nothing more than as many Avalon units  being shipped per time.

Hi,

 I am really really sorry for not answering... I however sent a donation to your address shortly after you posted - humble but still. Didn't you notice?
The thing is: I needed a solution swiftly so I called a freaky friend which came up with:

Code:
#!/bin/bash
while [ `su bitcoin -c 'bitcoind getinfo'` == "error: couldn't connect to server" ]; do sleep 1; done;

I know it's dirty and yours is much more elegant, but as I already had implemented and tried the dirty one I figured I'll wait with digging up your post until they change the text of the error message in a future version of bitcoind...
I have just been to ashamed to tell you this.

did actually ever anything happen with this pirate guy?

meine Statistiken bei bitcoin.de:

Positive Bewertungen: 100,00 %

negativ    0
