If they are Chinese then they are in their hometown right now (maybe drunk - who knows).
I would also appreciate an order confirmation stating the right shipping address and everything...

Chill out everybody. Tracking your Bitcoins after sending them to a payment processor is pointless.
This guy's are not anonymous, they really developed the product - so I don't believe it to be a con.

It's just they are sitting on a high horse at the moment.
1483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bash script for starting application which depends on running bitcoind on: February 05, 2013, 01:22:32 PM
At the moment it's running like this:

#!/bin/bash
su bitcoin -c 'bitcoind getinfo'
su bitcoin -c 'bitcoind getinfo'
su bitcoin -c 'bitcoind getinfo'
cd /opt/app
su appuser -c 'app'

this was working because older versions of bitcoind wouldn't reply "error: couldn't connect to server" but just wait until they are fully fired up before giving the output. Unfortunately that's not the case any more and I need a new start up script for my application. Could anybody help with the actual bash loop?
Thanks!
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / bash script for starting application which depends on running bitcoind on: February 05, 2013, 12:38:12 PM
Hello all,

I got an application which I need to start AFTER bitcoind is responsive. I know it can only be a few lines of scripting, ashes over my head I can't figure it out myself.
I was thinking of something like a while loop which checks the output of "bitcoind getinfo" for the right text.

many thanks in advance!

You cannot just move some money across borders as you please when you are a registered company. You must find some way to tax this...

However I wish you all of luck!

btcchina.com does 1k per day roughly.

For sites like dealextreme the whole worldwide bitcoin userbase is nothing but a fraction of their monthly customers I guess.

Hi - sorry, that's not what I wanted to say.
I got my money back! Thanks for your escrow services!

What I didn't get is what MNW promised to pay in case Pirate defaults... And as I understand MNW want's to settle with the people he bet with.

So there is actually 75BTC open according to my book. That's why Matthew got the scammer tag.

All I am saying is that he actually bet against me, and not you. You were acting as an escrow but it was my money and me who was risking it.

Hi,

you resolved with deslok? He was passing through for me. Unlike all the others I actually came up with the money up front...
Also later on I raised my bet - which you accepted. How come my name's not on the list?

You can send my 75 BTC to 1BSqMJmf2ogXm9oSYsxhiPF1LP4nHpP7P6 or PM me any other settlement offer.

  Thank you.

Don't forget that Jeff measured power consumption with the UPS included, our APC Matrix 3000 uses about 120 Watts to keep it's batteries afloat and run the electronics.

The measurement was taken with the Kill-A-Watt plugged into the UPS, and the miner plugged into the Kill-A-Watt.  In other words, the Kill-A-Watt was between the UPS and the miner.

Batteries and other miscellany are not included in that measurement.

Does your kill-a-watt distinguish between apparent power and effective power? The amps going through the cable are the first one, but I guess you only pay the latter...

I too hastily opened a walletbit account and deposited 100 BTC so that I would have it in place to pay for an order should I be able to place one.

Now I see that only 99.11 BTC is reflected in my Dashboard balance.

WTF?  Why should they charge me a fee to receive my funds?  It's not like it costs them anything.  This seems like a very shady thing to do.  Imagine if a bank tried this!  Talk about a bait and switch!

I think that walletbit was a poor choice as a payment processor on Avalon's part for the reason above.   Also because the site fell over under load, and also because it asks one to "blindly" send payment to a bitcoin address, without generating an email, or even providing so much an an order ID, payment ID, or any other kind of token aside from the bitcoin address itself.

Boo.  Walletbit--

this. so much this.

The only problem I would see with it is if somebody did something foolish like try to withdraw coins from an exchange directly to the "Pay to" address.

I paid directly from within MTgox, do I get it back when you send to that address?

I also paid from Mt Gox

I paid from Mt. Gox assuming using a green address would speed up the whole thing....
