1142  Other / Off-topic / Re: 10,000 BitCoin Loan [PAID BACK 20MILLION] on: June 06, 2013, 09:40:46 AM
hey guys i want a btc loan of 10k. I'll be giving .1 btc on the first day, even though I know it's so obvious I'm requesting such a big amount. I also want to write a letter as collateral. I'll be repaying the loan in two hours from the date (What does that even mean?). With loan I'm going to buy: North Korea, a plane ticket to Europe, Logic, 20 HP EliteBooks (Did I mention I'm going to resell them for triple the price on Ebay?), a cow, a farm, 77 acres of land (You can have one acre, kay?), tons of altcoins, Vircurex, more BitCoins, love, anther loan, and finally: North America. Yup, gonna buy a whole continent with all that money. You can have 0.00001% of my profits, kay? Would I also like to mention I'm going to buy McDonalds? (You can only have 0.000000000001% of my profits there.)
Please guys. I want run away with that much money even though it's so obvious. Please send all of the funds to:

this495is485so4882real47sbYEnIts%84Magically4728Generated88594

By the way, would I like to mention I'm Dank's brother?

10,000 sounds like a lot, but keep in mind millions have been mined.  Really just a drop in the bucket.
1143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Way to get round the 5 post limit... on: June 05, 2013, 01:47:49 AM
First 15 posts require captcha, after 5 posts and 4 hours they get access to 1 forum or subforum outside of newbie area.  After another 20 posts and 20 hours they have access to everything.
1144  Economy / Gambling / Re: triple btc today! on: June 05, 2013, 12:00:14 AM

Went for my weekly Sunday gamble with my 10 BTC cap...

WAS GOING TO CASH OUT AT 30 BITCOINS Sad

I actually got to 29, that's the best pic I could get.

Decided to do a 4 BTC bet with 1.2x multiplier to basically secure the cashout, but of course my luck ran out at the worst moment Tongue

What followed was a combination of bad luck and me being too much of a gambling addict to cash out. Ended up going down to 5 Bitcoins & cashing it out. Will save the rest of my weekly cap for tonight if I'm feeling lucky

Edit: Yay at least I'm number 5 on leader board now despite always using dif payout addresses ea time i bet Tongue

Now Stunna def can sell me some BTC Wink sorry Zaih for your loss. Seems like since switching to that new SHA version (I know nothing of coding or RNGs) people are actually losing and winning like they're suppose to (house not losing a ton every day for example).

Btw Zaih, your account when looking at your stats, still has .0005 BTC left in it, maybeee you can win back your 5 BTC with it Smiley

Were they somehow able to exploit the previous SHA?
1151  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: May 26, 2013, 02:31:55 AM
Then everyone will play under 1 everytime, increasing wining chances!

All the bets have about a 1% house edge.  Betting <1 every time will cost you about 1% of everything you bet on it in the long run, whether you're making other bets at the same time or not.

SatoshiDice used to let you make multiple bets per roll, but they stopped allowing that back in January - presumably because allowing multiple dependant bets gives people a way of effectively exceeding the max bet.  If I'm only allowed to bet 1 BTC on <32000, maybe I can bypass that restriction by putting 1 BTC on <32000 and another 1 BTC on <32001 on the same spin?

So long as the site is careful to limit its total exposure per roll, taking all bets into account, I see nothing wrong with allowing it. But it might clutter the interface if not implemented nicely.

Just have each separate bet deplete from the maximum allowable bet.  About the clutter I thought that also, and there's ways around that such as leaving the default betting screen how it is now, and allowing someone to select a different screen with the more options if they want.

[...] and/or multiple bets on one roll.
Then everyone will play under 1 everytime, increasing wining chances!

Wait what?

Quietly surpassed 1 million rolls.  Here's an idea to add something to the game;  How about allowing the choice to roll greater than a number to win, and/or multiple bets on one roll.
1154  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Buckets - A Strategic Bitcoin Betting Game! Win multiple times! on: May 23, 2013, 09:27:01 PM
You should add a history of previous bucket falls on the game webpage, and perhaps estimate of when the next round will decide(assuming all buckets are funded).

Thanks for the feedback! I do want to add a history, soon.

As for next round estimate, I'm afraid it is not quite possible: at any given moment the estimated next round time is around 10 minutes away (when difficulty is adjusted). However, I could do something similar to vanity miner: give the current probability that a round will have already triggered, and tell you when the probability reaches certain milestones (50%, 75%, 90%, etc). For example, "Round probability: 52% (75% in 3 minutes)."

Ok, what if you have a timer.  After all the buckets receive at least 1 bet, a 15 minute timer starts.  When timer reaches 0, then the next block decides.  That would allow the pots to get larger, and players will have a better chance of knowing whether or not their bet will make it in a given round.
1155  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Buckets - A Strategic Bitcoin Betting Game! Win multiple times! on: May 23, 2013, 07:18:45 PM
How do the "payout" numbers work? its a bit confusing...

Thanks for the feedback! I will try to include an explanation on the page.

Here is what the numbers mean. Each payout is a number "x1.1" or "x0.9" or something. You multiply this number by how many Bitcoins you spent. So if you spent "0.01 BTC", a payout of "x1.1" means a payout of "0.011 BTC". Now let me explain what the various payout numbers mean:

from satoshibuckets.bitshy.org:  "A round is triggered every time a new block is mined, as long as each bucket has at least ฿0.01. The bucket that falls depends on the last two hex digits of the mined block: if c0 or higher, the blue bucket falls (probability 64/256); if between 6b and bf, the green bucket falls (probability 85/256); if 6a or lower, the red bucket falls (probability 107/256). Only confirmed transactions over ฿0.01 are part of the round. When a bucket falls: 0.5% of its value is returned to its backers (to signal the fallen bucket), 3% of its value is donated to Bitshy Productions, a transaction fee is paid, and then the remaining value is split in half. Each half is divided equally among the supporters of the other two buckets"

Maybe it would be easier if you change the avg. payouts number to the estimated expected value amount for a .01 bet and/or other various bet amounts placed on that bucket(estimated since future bets could alter it).

edit.

1157  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Buckets - A Strategic Bitcoin Betting Game! Win multiple times! on: May 23, 2013, 05:50:53 PM
Satoshi Buckets has passed the ten round mark! In the last ten rounds:

  • Red won 5 times, with ฿0.10 = $12.91 received total.
  • Green won 8 times, with ฿0.121 = $14.75 received total.
  • Blue won 7 times, with ฿0.071 = $8.65 received total.

You should add a history of previous bucket falls on the game webpage, and perhaps estimate of when the next round will decide(assuming all buckets are funded).

1160  Other / Meta / Re: Ripple trying to take over the Bitcoin Discussion thread on: May 21, 2013, 07:10:31 AM
I have just been at bitcoin conference in san Jose ca, this was a great thing for bitcoin. One thing I noticed while at the conference is there where heaps of ripple employees/promoters their pretending to be bitcoin users and supporters. They where very sneaky and have also disguised themselves on this forum as bitcoin users by building up lots of posts. Have have seen ripple for what it is now. ripple is a group of people trying to fool people into using their system and their own crypto currency to get rich and hold a monopoly on the market.
ripple is not decentralized.
ripple is polluting bitcoin. they do not like bitcoin and this can be seen easily when speaking to them face to face. don't be fooled by clever marketing.
Ripple should only ever be discussed in alternate crypto section.

I am re posting this hear because it was deleted from the ripple for bitcoin users discussion.

Give that crap it's own sub-forum so i can ignore it.
