1161  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you like to see PRIVATE GAME ROOMS? on: May 20, 2013, 10:15:14 AM
Just off the top of my head:  Why does this only roll every 1/2 hours?  Where are the previous rolls?  Do all bets made in a 1/2 hours period get the same roll?(e.g. only 1 roll is made to determine outcome of all bets)  Why is your minimum so high?  Is this some kind of joke...

I received the same message, and have deleted it.
1163  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [TO THEYMOS AND MODS] BFL scammer tag? on: May 20, 2013, 05:59:37 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155730.0

The community poll shows that most believe BFL and related BFL employees should be given a scammer tag on this forum.

I'm curious why this has not manifested itself.

Any other party that has delayed this long would have gotten a scammer tag long ago.

That's an understatement.  I just saw that poll now, 77% for 22% against.
1164  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TradeFortress is a scammer. on: May 20, 2013, 05:56:35 AM
TradeFortress reminds me of when Thomas Edison electrocuted cats, dogs and elephants with alternating current (AC) to show how dangerous it was compared to direct current (DC).

It's pretty clear TradeFortress isn't going to feel guilty for defrauding newbies and the moderators are going to protect "their own." (Ha!)  But maybe a brief look at history will open some member's eyes to the way this type of BS propaganda sorts itself out.

http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2008/01/dayintech_0104

Relevant quote: "In the end, though, all Edison had to show for his efforts was a string of dead animals, including the unfortunate Topsy, and a current that quickly fell out of favor as AC demonstrated its superiority in less lethal ways to become the standard."

Every electronic device on Earth uses DC, he didn't lose too badly. Smiley

Well yes he did, considering the application he was implementing it for.  It certainly wasn't electronic devices.
1165  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting | Free BTC on: May 20, 2013, 04:52:57 AM
I'm considering making a Chrome plugin that watches as you play provably fair games and checks the hashes for you.  I think it would add value to players who don't know how to check the hashes for themselves, or can't be bothered to.  And having it developed by a third party rather than the house itself adds weight to its verification of your fairness too I think.

That's  a good idea.  I use Firefox, and Chrome, but Chrome didn't seem too big on addon or plugin availability last time I checked.  What about the sites that don't release the secret till the next day?
1166  Other / Off-topic / Re: [FAIL CAPTAIN] Some Facts About Chaang Noi (Goat) ช้างน้อย on: May 19, 2013, 06:41:34 PM
The user Chaang Noi (Goat) ช้างน้อย is a huge failure and here are the facts:

Profile Created just 1 year ago:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=44233

1. He is a trend chaser. Always trying to get in on the next big "money maker". This guy is like one of those infomercial yuppies that try to sell you "HOW TO MAKE MONEY DVD" but all you gotta do is "SEND HIM MONEY FIRST" and you will make a "FORTUNE!"

2. He lost about 40,000 BTC with PirateAt40's Bitcoin Savings and Trust (BTCST)

3. He got his assets delisted on GLBSE and supposedly has not received anything back from that investment.

4. He was trying to strike a business deal with SRoulette that didn't go his way so he ended up crying and stomping his feet like a big baby seen in these threads:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=119260.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=119269.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117744.0

Goat is one of the biggest fails on this entire forum I have seen to date.

5. Also he was looking for people to invest money with him stating that "if I have more funds I can make more money" stated here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=112024.msg1241533#msg1241533

6. Also in a hypocritical manner, Goat posted PMs from user Vladamir on this forum and yet claiming in the above threads listed that it is not in "good taste" to post PMs as SRoullete had done. Goat is a huge fucking hypocrit!

LINK: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108967.msg1184559#msg1184559[/u]

WARNING: Do not ever do business with Goat or send him money in hopes to profit from his "LEET" investment skills!
[/color]

I'm surprised to still see him around after watching the pirate fiasco unfold with him heavily involved.

Over half-million bets and counting, nice.

Are these saying BFL/Josh bought their way out of a scammer tag?
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Think I Know Who Satoshi Is on: May 19, 2013, 12:21:38 AM
What is the earliest version of the code, or how to find the earliest version of the code written by "Satoshi"?
1170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Dice on: May 18, 2013, 09:37:19 PM
its not really a dice game tho.... its just a statistics game... you cant really have a dice with 64,000 sides can you... it would just look like a round ball.

Think you would just need thousands of dice.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]Bitfinex.com open LTC trading on: May 18, 2013, 08:35:39 PM
This is good, I agree with their take on Litecoin versus some of the other alt coins.
1172  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: May 18, 2013, 07:48:57 PM
I won 150 bets and lost 6...  I bet on below 64000, which has a 1 in 1000 loss rate...  huh?

Your math is wrong. Below 64000 has a 2.34% loss rate.

Ahhh!  MY MATH!  oops... lol
lost 60 bitcoins...

ouch
1173  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Trade by yourself! Avoid middleman! Ripple -Buying/selling XRP-Noob guide on: May 18, 2013, 06:22:16 PM
Good, also make sure you don't have any trust to third parties until your BTC with Bitstamp is withdrawn to avoid the recent scam.
1174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: May 18, 2013, 05:32:33 PM
Coinroll is a new dice rolling game with a few interesting features:

A house edge of only 1%

Unconfirmed deposits
We accept unconfirmed transactions. You can begin playing instantly - no registration is required.

Deferred withdrawals
You can choose to have your winnings sent to an address once your deposit has cleared. Staying on the website while your transaction is queued is not necessary.

Instant bets
Bets are off-the-chain and are processed instantly while still being provably fair. As such, you can bet as low as 0.00001 BTC.

API
An easy-to-use interface is available for those who would like to use Coinroll from the command line or integrate it into their projects.

Custom games
While a few preset games are available, you can set a target number from 1 to 64000 and your win odds and multiplier will be calculated accordingly.

Here's an example of a bet. More information on provability and database dumps are available here.

A note on withdrawals: A 0.0005 miner's fee is added to all withdrawals, so the minimum balance you can withdraw from is 0.00050001 (it would result to a transaction of 1 satoshi plus the minumum fee). The fee is automatically factored into the amount when you click on Withdraw.

Betting limits will slowly be increased over the coming weeks.

Come check it out at https://coinroll.it

I won 150 bets and lost 6...  I bet on below 64000, which has a 1 in 1000 loss rate...  huh?

I just rolled 200x this bet and lost 4 times won 196, it does show you the win percentage as 97.7% in the game select area.
1175  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting | Free BTC on: May 18, 2013, 08:20:33 AM
I agree with you Zaih. If Stunna actually pays out the full 201 BTC it will show that this owner is willing to pay out for those who win. Thus the easy platform and the quick betting (no having to send or pay tx fees, etc) + lower house % will make this a definite better opportunity then Sdice. Only time will tell though if this pans out.

1% is good.  For me it's too new, and feels very me too, so probably wont be using at this time.(no offense to Stunna)
1176  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♛PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting | Free BTC on: May 18, 2013, 07:54:08 AM
Almost $25,000 made from $250... lord almighty. Stunna if I were you I'd be crying. Good luck though I hope in the long run you get it all back and more.

Almost not believable, they sure are very trusting considering how new this site is.
1177  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♛PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting | Free BTC on: May 18, 2013, 07:44:30 AM
That's some good volume for your first day or week.
1178  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDice Betting Addresses List (play from the bitcoin network) on: May 18, 2013, 05:57:42 AM
Has anyone actually won ?

Yes. User evoorhees has won a lot.

I guess he is the owner?

Yes, the real winner is the owner: some 71 thousand Bitcoins
Check it out yourself: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aiec3-Eo_yO5dHB2dVdiaEltUHAtTWlBcFhXQVBYeGc#gid=0

Some of that went to the shareholders, not sure what percent was sold.  But I think they paid hefty price for that right anyway.

None for me, they seem overbought and also how to know the exchange will stay alive.
1180  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ironcross360 Rep on: May 18, 2013, 02:16:29 AM
I feel that I should express my opinion of this person as untrustworthy.  Attempted to make a trade with me then added on that he would also buy some ripple from me for a price that would be considered a total rip off.  Would not go through with the original trade offer.  Not sure if he should be called a scammer completely, but definitely untrustworthy.  Also see this thread in which someone is recommending avoiding him:
