1261  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: October 15, 2017, 04:29:23 PM
Around me there isn't any. As I know even the big supermarkets with well known brand around the country don't accept Bitcoin yet, that would be the first step. I believe it will take sometime yet until this kind of business start accepting Bitcoins. I don't see supermarkets too connected to technology... This sector isn't going to be one of the first ones to adopt Bitcoins in my opinion.
1262  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whens all bitcoin going to be mined? on: October 15, 2017, 03:47:11 AM
As I know all Bitcoins will be mined by 2140 or so...

We probably won't be alive when this time comes.  Cheesy
1263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxless and free society? on: October 15, 2017, 03:03:44 AM
Roger Ver is announcing that he's working together with a team to build a completely free society by buying off land in US/Europe or Asia.

Live stream was here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSF52B90xws

What do you think, can this new country be born? Could we move there in 2-3 years? Would you be interested?
Such a society is a mirrage. No tax means no ruling a free society but with freedom comes nuisance too. Have you ever seen a class in discipline without a teacher??  Then how can we expect such a country without any ruler or observer?

Every extreme isn't good. A total free society doesn't work, people should try to find balance on their lifes instead of going through extreme paths that won't return any positive result. Ideas like this are always appearing, but until now I haven't seen anything successful. One thing is to ask for less taxes and fair fees, another thing is to ask for a chaotic anarchy.
1264  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: October 14, 2017, 08:03:18 PM
are they still giving out free BTC?

No, the only free btc you can get is through the faucet. Nowadays, it is so hard to find some sites giving away free btc because of the current btc's price which is so high unlike some years ago where we could get some free BTC form almost all bitcoin related sites.

Don't forget the interest that freebitco.in gives you when your balance is over 30k satoshis. It is an annual interest of 4.08% (calculated daily).
It is not much, but it is also free BTC besides the faucet

4.08% is nothing to worry about or mention. That doesn't even best inflation. My local bank gives 11% per year so that is almost 3x less then a fiat investment from this site. Yolodice gives even more. A few percent a month.

You can still get free bitcb it's just oess then before but the USD value resmains the same. I remember back to a time where freebitco.in gave away 1000 per hour with the faucet.

Your local bank pays interest in fiat, what makes the saving bank account worthless. While your local currency is losing power on long term, Bitcoin is gaining. So it's much better to receive 3x less interest, but in BTC than 3x more interest in fiat (on long term).

11% interest yearly is too much, more than what they pay on my country (about 8,4% yearly). Interest income is high where the currency is valueless.

1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: October 14, 2017, 06:41:50 PM
I like the idea to have a big land also and make it productive. To have animals, crops, miscellaneous productions... Self sustainable land with recreative areas. Maybe an thematic park with parties to make it attractive for visitors also. And surely to travel around the world. On long term I would like to accomplish this with the help of Bitcoin boost in price that make things more accelerated.
1267  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 14, 2017, 06:08:44 PM
The thief excuse is that he doesn't have money, and when he needed help nobody have helped him, so he became angry and rebel against everyone who has a better life quality. Or he isn't in real need for money, but he thinks to be too smart and feel good by cheating others, showing how he is smart while all the rest are complete fools, wasting money on scam schemes! Basically the thief/scammer is someone who wants to have success by looting, draining other's sucess.
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did it! Traveling with Bitcoin and $100 only on: October 14, 2017, 04:53:44 PM
My journey started on Sep 21, from Boston to NYC, flight to Egypt then Turkey, back to Boston! Carrying $100 just in case and 3 bitcoins in my wallet!

Fuck If I will ever carry credit card, or cash any more:

1- I used Localbitcoins for cash! Search for best local currency rate!
2- How much I save from credit card fees and Fiat exchanges: $305.
3- Is it save to deal with Localbitcoins in person overseas? Yes, so amazing nice guys, you are making friends Smiley

You should try it! & $100 stayed with me! and I spent less than 1.9 btc in both countries!!!

Wow.  What an amazing experience to have it.  I also want that to experience.  Actually I guess it is more safer because you do not have a big amount to show and less holduppers.  But I do not have that bitcoin as much as you.  I never have even one bitcoin.  I wish I could do that someday.

Just make sure to stay on the capitals, main cities, otherwise there is a risk to lose internet connection as it's not disponible on remote places, especially third world countries... In this case, no internet means no money. Indeed a nice experience, but it's necessary to calculate the details very well before launching yourself on an adventure like this. A good idea for a documentary also... (Travelling around the world with BTCs).
1269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin drop back down? on: October 14, 2017, 04:22:14 PM
So. after 25 oct on hard fork will bitcoin price go down or up ?

but i remember last hard fork was make bitcoin price up and high till now and i doubt to sell my all bitcoin for getting high price or maybe lower price.

People here are saying most probable to see BTC price going down after fork.

I think they are right. Last Hard Fork was very profitable as we had our coins doubled, it was possible to make more than 50% profit over our Bitcoins just by selling the Bitcoins Cash, profit overnight, instantly. Now investor's eyes grew upon the new fork and they may be investing hard on it, with high chances to cashout right after the fork, bringing a correction.
1270  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It is good to invest money to a btc doubler mining sites??? on: October 14, 2017, 04:15:46 PM
thank you so much for the info about that ponzi2 schem..
better ignore to that kind of double sites.. instead to double???rather become into zero..
thanks guys for the info ..  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Very nice, now you can tell your friends and acquaintances that it's not a good idea to invest on such sites, spread the word and these schemes will have even less and less investors... Some people see it like gambling, but not the poors ones that are losing hard their few satoshis, so let these 'gamblers' sustain these sites by themselves without money of poor people involved. Also, if you are already satisfied with all answers you can close this thread.  Smiley
1271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Goverment is not recommending to use digital currency such a bitcoin? on: October 14, 2017, 02:24:23 AM
Because your government worries too much about your safety and life quality, so they don't want to see you in danger making profit with shady currencies online. They want to encourage you to use your currency to boost the local economy and help them to rise your country.  Grin
1272  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC next level on: October 14, 2017, 01:02:38 AM
We know Bitcoin won't stay on a continuous rising trend for much time, there will be corrections, the price will drop, maybe increase again, then drop once again and so on... If BTC is able to hit $7000 and stay stable on this number next year I'm already happy. There is potential, there is strength to push it up and keep the price high on medium term. 2017 was a good year for Bitcoin, but 2018 can be even better!
1273  Economy / Economics / Re: Statistics about cryptocurrency used to buy goods on: October 14, 2017, 12:32:47 AM
I think something like this doesn't exist. Most Bitcoin transactions are done informally, anonymously. We would need to wait an official site that is accepting Bitcoins show these statistics to us (like Steam, for an example).

So we could see how many of their customers and how much Bitcoins they are spending on the respectives platforms.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $123 for few minutes on: October 13, 2017, 10:34:52 PM
This is good, but i am sure that you only won that money because you were lucky, not because of those analysis, there is no way to defeat the casino, and less those btc casinos that are probably tricked to make everybody lose on their games. But nice winnings mate, try to do not lose all the money on that strategy, maybe it will fail in sometime.

I agree. I think he was just too lucky, if he applies the strategy again he probably won't make the same profit, otherwise the casinos would go to bankruptcy. Anyway, it's useful as incentive for gamblers that are without hopes to make profit anymore. It's the proof few people still can have profit gambling while all the rest will lose hardly. But who knows, anyone of us can be among the few lucky guys...
1275  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin change the distribution of wealth in the world? on: October 13, 2017, 10:09:15 PM
No. If you want to have wealth you will still need to be strategical in your life. Don't spect any distribution of wealth from anything, use the tools that are disponible for you and do the best you can to make progress in your life. Bitcoin is just money and those who hold most coins will continue being rich while those who don't have any satoshi or few satoshis will continue being poor...
1276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the new 2013 on: October 13, 2017, 08:36:17 PM
Well, it can happen and it may not happen... It's an unpredictable world, it doesn't mean the old events will repeat again just because we are in "similar" situations. There are some factors that could influence the price and from 2013 on all these factors evolved and turned BTC into a more secure currency as now we have more users, more business and sites operating with Bitcoins, more attention from countries on Bitcoin.

Anyway, a sabotage can happen and the price can be dropped by whales who wants to make profit over other's losses.
1277  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: October 12, 2017, 03:15:40 PM
As the price of bitcoin reach new all time high today, many people are getting richer especially those early adopters. Those who get in the game later on is still accumulating to be rich including me. I have known bitcoin just last year but wasted it investing in HYIP sites and gambling so I only held a little amount of it until now. I have a chance again to accumulate as much as I can and we should not waste our time to achieve our dreams and goals through bitcoin.

I think the same happened with many early adopters. They used their coins to invest on scam sites or to gamble and have lost a good amount of Bitcoins... Not everyone, but it's a common situation on Crypto-Currency world, but these people had a golden opportunity, especially the poors, to upgrade their life quality if they are dealing with Bitcoins since some years ago. I'm sure it happened for some people and they are very happy at this moment enjoying their fortunes and the same will happen to us in the future when BTC hit $1.000.000 (I hope so).  Cheesy
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the future of gambling on: October 12, 2017, 02:51:05 PM
Gambling is Gambling, it will stay forever until the human civilization will exist. because it is one of the addictive segment for the people. I can say one thing that drug is being dimensionalized in different aspect so that Gambling will also be changed into different aspect.
Gambling has been with humans for time immemorial now and it will not be wrong to say that we are going to play this game as long as we exist. By we, I am referring to the human race. Gambling is a source of entertainment, it is also a way of relief and above all it is taken as an income source which is not true. The truth is, whatever the reason maybe, gambling will never disappear from the Earth.

I don't know if it will exist forever by the end of human civilization, because when humans evolve, they left old addictions and behaviors... A evolved society would probably have other interests that don't include gambling. But as the civilization goes, gambling will exist for much time yet. About the gambling industry I just think creativity isn't much important, the gambling games are the same since much time ago and gamblers are happy with them.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN AS PAYMENT FOR ONLINE GAMES on: October 12, 2017, 02:20:29 PM
Well, the transaction fees will be too high for micro-transactions like skins, weapons, virtual currencies, etc... Especially for mobile games. Plus, the number of raw transactions will be way too high, there's like 2 billion smartphones nowadays. Do you really want to flood the bitcoin blockchain like this ?

Using alternative currencies for online would be a better solution. Plus, you could add really specific features. Just look at Enjin, it basically gives a way to trade your in-game items in a peer-to-peer fashion, without having to rely on the official servers. Like, if a pokemon game (pokemon go, for example) uses EnjinCoin to power up its transaction system, it would be possible to trade pokemons like a real pokemon trader, like, your wallet will have a pokedex-like interface and, yeah, within seconds you can send your pokemon on your friend's cellphone. Like, ehm, pokemon go, but with, ehm, better playability and social mechanics.
Enjin is the future of online gaming.
it creates a side-chain for any item, and makes generic conversion, so that you can trade it with any other side-chain token. Ka-boom. No traffic congestion. Endless retro-compatibility. Forks possible for updates, or for server tests, you can easily do anything. And you can't get stolen by random chineses farmers who got access to your account, because now you also need the wallet private key to do so.

The Ethereum team also wants to create a mobile cryptocurrency. They did it on a completely new blockchain because there's too much potential users for such a cryptocurrency. Billions of users. We need another blockchain for that.

AltCoins can be useful this way, but you don't need to make small transactions of BTC if you want to use the main Crypto-Currency. If the games start accepting BTC to buy in-game items you would have your balance on the site, so you could send a higher amount of satoshis to make the transaction worth. Not necessary to spend all the money at once. Also, if it's hard to see sites accepting BTC, now imagine how hard would be to see these sites accepting AltCoins...
