1241  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I want to start cloud mining on: October 18, 2017, 03:52:21 PM
Everyone may want to invest on the newest project of cloud mining which still offer cheaper tokens ($1) right now.
You can visit their website https://icerockmining.io/ or ANN thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2196082.0 for more information.
This is a good opportunity to invest your funds due to they offer profitable investment for everyone, whether you choose to be an investor and get tripled profits of your initial capital on May or be a miner for 2 years contract.
Actually this project isnt really different among on those cloud mining that do operates as of now like genesis and hash.I cant see that if people would invest in the project would really get some tripled profits. Seriously? 2 years contract wont really still be a guarantee for you to make money but well theres still chance to be on ROI but dont expect on the excess profits.Thinking off that hash did make already a fix 1 year contract came from lifetime contract.Why? They arent profiting already. If you do talk on buying token and sold out later on then its possible though but on cloud mining then its a NO.

The ROI only happens if the currency's price increases. When mining on the cloud people are never able to recover the same amount of coins that were invested. That is what makes this investment worthless (talking about legit cloud minings). And if the coin to be mined is an AltCoin it's more dangerous, because these AltCoins are very unstable and have less guarantees of success than Bitcoin.
1242  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 10-40 Btc Satoshi Faucet EVERY 5 MINUTES! (FaucetHub) on: October 18, 2017, 03:32:18 PM
Got 10 satoshis, thank you. With currently BTC price I think it's a good reward every 5 minutes... Easy and fast to claim. Possible to claim minimum 110 satoshis hourly, what is a good reward if we compare with other faucets that are paying 36 satoshis hourly (like FreeBitco.in minimum reward).

I hope you are able to make this faucet sustainable, good luck.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: October 18, 2017, 02:34:15 PM
Personally I think it's too dangerous for the amount of money you are risking. And if you lose it will hurt a lot...

I think you should try to recover your losses only if you had more 'ammo' to spend... So you could play with few high bets, recover it fast and exit.
1244  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: October 18, 2017, 02:25:32 PM
Maybe you are wasting your Bitcoins investing on wrong places... You can only find help if you share more details about what you are doing that isn't working. Even with faucets after 1 year it's already possible to make some progress, especially if BTC price increases on this time. And Crypto-Currency isn't luck, gambling is... Are you gambling hoping to make profit?
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spreading Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 02:45:59 AM
there are still cyber cafes all over the world? there were like more than 10 in my city a few years ago, and now there is only one, but there is not even 2 people joining and using pc's during the day, the poor guy who is on the  hall of the cyber cafe is so lonely, nobody enters to cyber cafes anymore, because 9 of 10 people now has a computer on their own houses.
So i dont think it is a good idea, there are better ones, that requires more people but are more efficient, like promoting among the streets.

Here the same. Before there were several cyber-cafes, but when people started buying laptops the number of customers decreased. But at least here there is something new happening: The new games are very heavy for the laptops most people have, so they need to play at cyber-cafes with friends and enjoy the experience with nice graphics. The hourly price is very cheap and I think it would be interesting for cyber-cafes owners on long term if they keep the profit in BTCs.

Also, it's a good way to spread Bitcoin among more people, the technology enthusiasts, especially young gamers.
1246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to choose good coin!? on: October 18, 2017, 02:20:24 AM
For me, to know how legit the coin that we choose is to look at their community on how many supporters for this coin and the developers also need to be more active. To know that, I will look at their twitter or their announcement thread here in bitcointalk. But sometimes, even their community are very strong but their trying to run investors money. So we need to careful and double check the coin when we are doing an investment. I prefer you to choose on the top markets.

It's true, must see if there is a professional job behind the coin, if its purpose is really useful and makes sense, if you see many people looking for news about this coin, if there is a good feedback about it (what means there is a high chance to have nice demand). Or you must find the HOT currency of the moment, what is too risky... That very speculative currency that everyone is looking to make profit with fast bump/dump.
1247  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: October 17, 2017, 03:21:58 PM
I think exchanges could be the future of banks. Instead of working with fiat only, the banks could work like an online exchange operating with all Crypto-Currencies and offering extra features like insurance, investment plans (to hold money on the exchange for minimum X time), credit and debit cards, etc...

This way we could eliminate the banks, but at same time make them become more useful for all.
1248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: October 17, 2017, 02:29:49 PM
Write the details on a notebook and keep it hidden... Write everything very well detailed somehow your children will understand it and if there are many people on your house that you don't want to see this, you will need to keep this notebook in a safe box or something like this, only telling the password to your children and telling them to keep in secret. If more people are aware about it they will want their "piece" too, bringing future issues for your children.

1250  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: What do you think about faucets? on: October 17, 2017, 01:53:46 PM
When i started to collect BTC, on Freebirtco.in was paying 4500 satoshis hourly, now it is 36..   Grin

What's nice about Freebitco.in is that they're still paying the same "value" now as they were then. It's set to the USD price of bitcoin, so as bitcoin goes up or down so does the faucet amount

Yes, between $0.002 and $200 every hour... Another good point of FreeBitco.in is that the referral system worth. It's not a faucet that disappear after sometime and you lost all your hard work referring people. The faucet is working since much time ago and all your referrals are there yet.

The comission is high, 50%, so if you have a good amount of referrals you will increase a lot your earnings. Depending the faucet it still worth, that is the case of FreeBitco.in, I try to claim on it maximum as possible hoping to get the best prizes $20-$200.

The "Bitcoin Gold" hard fork currently does not seem to be a viable fork - since they have not given any information about the fork on their website (btcgpu.org) and have no supported wallets yet. If there are no wallets that support it, we shall not be able to make "Bitcoin Gold" available for withdrawals. If however, there is wallet support for "Bitcoin Gold" before the hard fork date and the block number for the fork is announced in advance, we shall make it available for withdrawal.

They've made site updates recently

The Bitcoin Gold (BTG) initial coin distribution method is exactly the same as that used by Bitcoin Cash (BCH). All Bitcoin holders who possess BTC private keys on October 25 (block 491 407) will receive Bitcoin Gold on the rate of 1 BTC = 1 BTG (If you have 20 BTC you will receive 20 BTG). You need to control BTC private keys in order to make Bitcoin Gold transactions.

Source: http://btcgpu.org/

https://github.com/BTCGPU/BTCGPU Not sure if their wallet is ready but I sure hope I'll get these coins along with shitwig2x so I wont have to withdraw from freebitco.in to my core wallet.

That's great news. I hope FreeBitco handles the upcoming fork in the same way it handled the Bitcoin Cash fork - by offering a button to convert the forked coins directly to BTC and add them to your FreeBitco balance.

I would like to know about it.

FreeBitco.in, will you let us exchange the alternative BTCs to the original Bitcoin on your own site like you did with Bitcoin Cash?

It would be very helpful...
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how can we make gambling as an accepted recreational activity like sports game? on: October 17, 2017, 02:57:16 AM
The main concern about gambling is that it leads people to the addiction. So it's not healthy for us, being impossible to be considered a recreational activity that is endorsed by the society. It's not necessary to see gambling as a recreational activity, however it's not necessary to see gambling as an evil thing that leads people to their ruin, as it can be a powerful tool to boost countries and people's economy.
1253  Economy / Economics / Re: CHINA ban Rise and Down on: October 17, 2017, 02:03:32 AM
bitcoin price down about 1,000$ after china ban   this is logic

but less than 2 months back more than old 4,600 now without any new news why  ??

Are you depending only with the news? Then you are missing the real news here that there's a hard fork that will happen next week so that's the reason why the price of bitcoin increases. And not all the time we are going to depend with Chinese news or anything that's related to crypto there. Yes, they are affecting the price but you should also look outside the box, don't look always inside the box.
Chinese just another kind of trollers, They are announcing to ban the crypto and bitcoin but in the future they will try to re-thinking about that. This looks pretty odd.
That news just give a short impact to all of the users, because many ways to the bitcoin and crypto currency. Because they are not familiar with the technology and if we are all using the decentralized exchange and there will be no party can prevent us to use bitcoin.

That's true, I propose that we should deal peer to peer and forget about a middle man(exchanges) and meet in person because it seems all the government regulations and their interference seems to be directed at the local exchanges.
That is also one of the goodness of bitcoin, because if its volatility, that is why so many people wants to invest into it. Think about it carefully that not only the news and issues could affect bitcoin, and there is no exact prediction, or in other words nobody can predict accurately the price of bitcoin if it is going upward or downward by the next few years, but the positive outlook is that it will rise due to so many demands and only limited supply.

We can't predict exactly why Bitcoin price is increasing, but I agree that there is a high chance Bitcoin is rising because the fact there will be a new HardFork. Last time we have seen a HardFork it was very profitable for holders, it was like free money, people earning thousands of dollars overnight without effort. And now they think it can happen again, so it's better to hold maximum coins as possible.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: October 17, 2017, 01:18:44 AM
I´m Bitcoin supporter and enthusiastic. But at the same time, i try always to keep an open mind, about the position of Bitcoin in the rest of the world.

A gigantic negative point of the Bitcoin blockchain technology is the amount of electricity used to validate one transaction. A recent study made by the Dutch bank ING, conclude that the electric power used in a transaction is enough to power up one house for a month period. A solution for this has to be found ASAP. For this kind of reasons, people can just "Hate" the technology

Really? I didn't know about it... But as this study was made by a bank there could be some doubts about its legitimacy and neutrality. It's interesting for banks to deceive public opinion about Bitcoin as they are the most harmed by this technology. They have enough reasons to hate Bitcoins and start such campaigns against it. We don't even know what is the electricity consume on each house.
1255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What website do you use in investing your bitcoin? on: October 16, 2017, 12:15:24 AM
I like to use FreeBitco.in site to invest some satoshis. They pay 0.01% interest daily, site is working since 2013 as faucet and Dice game, recently they added the new 'saving account' feature. At least it's not a scam cloud mining, they really pay daily, so the ROI starts on the next day after the investment.
1256  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can bitcoin be frozen? on: October 15, 2017, 07:32:08 PM
The only possibility I am aware of to freeze or modify bitcoin would be a 51% attack on the network, but as this didn't happen until today this scenario is very unlikely.

Only if a government will declare it as its only official currency it can take Fiat's place, but this also didn't happen until today and this scenario is also very unlikely and also not necessary for us bitcoin users.

When the authorities find criminal activity using Bitcoins I think they can freeze these Bitcoins, but just because it's being used by criminals. They have a reason to do this. To freeze everyone's Bitcoins they would need to create a new rule. Doing this the government could take out BTCs from circulation, killing the currency. That would be an easy way to do this and finish Crypto-Currency that threats estabilishment's empire.
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: October 15, 2017, 07:12:41 PM
Total removal of fiat from the society will do more harm than good.
No matter the level of technological development, not everyone will be able to embrace cashless transactions. And also, most services need to be paid in cash.

Indeed, removal of fiat will lead every economic states into harmful situation than being logically successful with it. Fiat has been one of the contributor of the efficient work of transactions and I think it will not help every community without fiat since it serves as medium payment and several successful transaction was done with this. I will not support any cashless society topic since loss will name after every forum user.
This is not possible.Fiat money cannot become extinct.The common man does not even know about cryptocurrencies and how they are operated.Digital money is easier for literates but for others it is cash.Many people have no access to internet so it is impossibe for them to go cashless and do their day to day transactions digitally.

I agree to what you've said because fiat money cannot be extinct in a reason that money is been using it generation by generation and other reason is that how about the poor or in a low class society with no access of internet . so it was difficult to think to go in cashless than using digitally in their daily needs.
Not only that it would really takes ages for people to adopt such new way payment system if it would be already approved or adopted. Cash wont really be extinct because government wont really allow such thing to happen and as you speak not all people on the society would really capable or even know how to use up digital things.

But once everyone is able to have access to internet, wouldn't be possible to have a cashless society?

This is something for evolved countries where everything works fine, but until all the countries evolve to the same level it will take ages... We don't have internet everywhere yet, what would be the first step. For now cash extinction is just a dream that technology enthusiasts have. It's really too far from happening.
1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Barely Reached 1% of its Potential: Expert Blog on: October 15, 2017, 06:30:55 PM
Even if the stats and future predictions looks very good for Bitcoin, we should also be realistic and not expect to see a Bitcoin

price of $1 000 000 per bitcoin very soon. Let's just take the growth from last year :

2016 - 2017 ===> $3000 increase {more or less and this was pretty impressive}

Let's predict the next 5 years, with a $3000 increase/growth per year :

2017 - 2018 ==> $  9 000
2018 - 2019 ==> $12 000
2019 - 2020 ==> $15 000
2020 - 2021 ==> $18 000
2021 - 2022 ==> $21 000

So this is nowhere close to $1 000 000 per bitcoin... right.  Huh

That is a good supposition, but not possible to say every year Bitcoin price will increase like the last year and so on... Anyway I doubt Bitcoin will hit $1.000.000 very soon, it will take several years yet if we want to see solid results on Bitcoin currency. If the price increases too much like this in a short time period we can have the sure this currency isn't trusted and it's better to move our funds out.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why people are sharing tips? on: October 15, 2017, 05:33:56 PM
They are building their reputation, once a lot of people follow, they will charge cost or at least expect some donation, and there are a lot of people sharing their tips because they think it is fun to be able to guess the result correctly

I agree with this, because mostly this is the case, but there are some other reasons too. For example you share a strategy, any strategy it's even not necessary you have won with the one. Then from several people who tried to play with it, one wins big (just because he was lucky). That person can tip you after the winning although your strategy wasn't the reason he won, the luck was.

Even with other reasons I think the main point is what machinek20 said, to build a reputation to have a "portfolio" later to show to the followers and make them pay for precious tips. Surely there are people wanting to help others or just having fun by sharing some predictions, but the professional one want to make extra fortune by selling his predictions, especially if this one have a small bankroll and need more money to "do his job".
1260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did it! Traveling with Bitcoin and $100 only on: October 15, 2017, 04:34:17 PM
My journey started on Sep 21, from Boston to NYC, flight to Egypt then Turkey, back to Boston! Carrying $100 just in case and 3 bitcoins in my wallet!

Fuck If I will ever carry credit card, or cash any more:

1- I used Localbitcoins for cash! Search for best local currency rate!
2- How much I save from credit card fees and Fiat exchanges: $305.
3- Is it save to deal with Localbitcoins in person overseas? Yes, so amazing nice guys, you are making friends Smiley

You should try it! & $100 stayed with me! and I spent less than 1.9 btc in both countries!!!

Wow.  What an amazing experience to have it.  I also want that to experience.  Actually I guess it is more safer because you do not have a big amount to show and less holduppers.  But I do not have that bitcoin as much as you.  I never have even one bitcoin.  I wish I could do that someday.

Just make sure to stay on the capitals, main cities, otherwise there is a risk to lose internet connection as it's not disponible on remote places, especially third world countries... In this case, no internet means no money. Indeed a nice experience, but it's necessary to calculate the details very well before launching yourself on an adventure like this. A good idea for a documentary also... (Travelling around the world with BTCs).

You will never Main street media talking about Bitcoin as an alternative to cash!
But again what third world countries!!! What you see on TV has no true meaning! I can show you neighborhoods in NYC, with bad internet and you can't walk on daylight around it... forget the night Smiley

So I would add: avoid these neighboorhoods if you are going to NYC.  Cheesy

The fact that few neighboorhoods in NYC are dangerous don't make most third world countries safer.
