Stay away from phishing links, once you click on it, it's like you are giving them freely your sensitive information. And never trust any group or paid channels that claim to be trustworthy and reputable ones, if they are really profitable, they won't market their group, the people will eventually chose them over other groups or channels. And lastly, too good to be true offers are always a scam, so never easily fall for it.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold than trade. Just don't use leverage, futures. on: January 12, 2024, 08:40:26 PM

When you realized everything happened was staged and planned Cheesy

I don't believe that they were hacked at all. For sure, they did that so they would able to buy more cheap Bitcoins before announcing a legit approval of ETF.
After ETF was approved, we didn't see any huge pump compared to before, it seems people already knew. It's kinda buy the news, sell the rumors.
This is probably happening now as bitcoin price has dropped instead rather than seeing it surging high. However, it's not bad as it is since it widely opens a new opportunity for beginners and long term hodlers to buy and hold more in preparation for the upcoming bitcoin halving. So I guess the whole scene even if we would like to believe that its staged and planned, at least there are still advantages that we can gain from it, we just have to look at the brighter side.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 11, 2024, 11:44:39 PM
Your gambling habit will only affect your relatives and loved ones if you chose to gamble irresponsibly. If you fail to see your own value and significance which gambling is stealing from you, then what’s the purpose of having relatives that will prefer to see your own welfare than to continuously see you losing and messing up with your life.

That’s where your gambling addiction will certainly affect the lives of your relatives as they can’t bare seeing you losing all the time and making you poorer and poorer while you keep getting richer the casino itself.
84  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto scams flourish most during bull runs. on: January 11, 2024, 09:59:01 PM
Although crypto scams are also happening when the market is bearish, but I really think that it's more possible when the market is experiencing a bull run. Probably because the market is very bullish and that everyone will expect that all good things will happen, and that's where scammers will also take advantage of the market by deceiving newbies and naive investors to invest or trade in their own scam projects.

Bull run is not only the best time to profit but it's certainly where people are also highly susceptible to losses as scamming is also rampant that time.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your predictions for the state of Bitcoin in 2024? on: January 11, 2024, 07:50:32 PM
2023 was certainly a prosperous year for bitcoin, not a worst year for bitcoin. Unlike 2022, bitcoin price by 2023 has made a significant price surge for bitcoin that made the people surprised to see it happening all of a sudden especially when the fake news for SEC approval has arise. Plus having the fact that bitcoin halving is coming near, the crypto market was very positive that year that made bitcoin to stay above $40k.

For 2024, I am expecting to see bitcoin more positive than 2023 most especially that SEC has finally approved bitcoin ETF, and that we are close to the next bitcoin halving that is bound to happen this year. A lot are preparing for bitcoin halving as it could lead to a new all time high for bitcoin.
86  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Joining this forum has widen my horizon about Bitcoin . on: January 10, 2024, 09:46:47 PM
There’s more to bitcointalk than just crypto investment and trading, and you will only find it out when you start being a member of this forum and explore the different boards that will definitely change your perspective about bitcoin and the crypto space. So I share the same sentiments with you OP as it was also my first impression about the forum way back then, but when I started to acquire knowledge and shared experiences from old members, I realized why this forum has been a great place for learning and earning an income.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 10, 2024, 08:59:48 PM
I see gambling is not just for men but even for women as well. Hence, telling your husband that you’re into gambling for quite some time might shock him but later on he will come to understand that as long as you only gamble for entertainment, then I guess there’s no wrong with that. Just be open with your husband as he deserves to know whatever activity you got involved most especially for gambling where probability of losing is high. It’s never bad to gamble as long as you still manage your finances, but to be honest, it’s not actually decent to see a woman gambling, just leave it to your husband as it’s a men thing.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 09, 2024, 11:34:14 PM
If you are gambling on a daily basis, that will most likely result into gambling addiction, which means the more you show uncontrollable urge to gamble, the more you will create chances of losing. So I don’t really see gambling everyday is a wise move, no matter how you find it as a means of entertainment or as a means to provide an income, the fact that you spend money everyday in gambling where probability of winning is rare, then you are allowing yourself to lose more often than winning.

It’s only safe to gamble when you only gamble at an amount you can afford to lose. When you think you are losing too much, it’s better to just take a short break from gambling.
89  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie, be careful of the Bitcoin information you process on: January 09, 2024, 09:48:34 PM
Newbies are more susceptible to fake and invalid information since they easily believe on what people say about bitcoin, and that’s not new for newbies since majority of them don’t have sufficient knowledge and most especially don’t have skills in the crypto market.

However, if they will put it in their mind first to DYOR every information that they receive, then the less chances that they will be scammed. Scammers have big eyes for newbies, but newbies can actually prevent from being fooled by these people if they do due diligence to study and learn the market patiently.
90  Economy / Reputation / Re: People on this site are questioning my education because they are stupid. on: January 06, 2024, 07:51:06 PM
The kind of attitude you have will never fit in the forum so I suggest to try to assess yourself and if you think the people here are pissing you off, then you are free to leave the forum. This forum is obviously for those who have respect for each other, and I can see based on your own post that you have no longer show any respect even to those superiors in the forum.

We don’t have to brag our educational achievements in the first place since we aren’t even sure if the other members have greater achievements than yours, so try to be humble as well. There are no issues whatever we achieved in real life, what matters most is we should learn to abide with the rules and learn to go along with other members so that the harmonious relationship between each and everyone will be maintained.
91  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does inactive users deserve merits? on: January 06, 2024, 07:27:09 PM
Merits are given to those deserving posts, regardless if those posts were made long time ago, even if those posters are inactive already at the time of meriting. This is from my own point of view. However, you are the one to give merits so you should be the one to decide if you stick to the post itself or just find another post wherein it’s poster is still active until present.

Merits are vital for a position to level up, so it might only be a waste if you give it to those who are no longer active in posting, while those who are still doing their part in the forum sharing their own insights are patiently waiting for their posts to receive merits.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: January 06, 2024, 04:59:24 PM
Wow congrats, first goal unlocked. That’s the advantage of responsible gambling as you will also be blessed with unexpected winning amount. And I’m happy that you finally have bought your new smart tv all because of your profits from gambling. This is to prove that gambling is not all about being responsible, but being lucky as well to win such a huge amount.

While gambling could be the easiest way to lose your capital, it can also be the quickiest way to win 5x or 10x from your capital. As long as luck and skills are present, then winning the jackpot prize will be a lot easier.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 06, 2024, 03:59:52 PM
Gamblers might be behaving differently at first but in the long run, your true personality will naturally come out even without forcing yourself. That is because what we do or how be behave in real life has always its reflection even in dealing gambling. If we are naturally risk takers, the more that we become more passionate to gamble since we love to overcome risks most especially if there are rewards waiting ahead.

But if asked if that alter ego really exist when gambling? Probably yes, but not on my part. I don’t take high risk most especially in gambling where uncertainty is high and results are always unpredictable.
94  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow the technique if you have zero trading knowledge in crypto on: January 05, 2024, 09:58:35 PM
If you have zero trading knowledge in crypto, don't resort into following trading techniques because it won't still be successful, but never trade instead so you can save your capital from losing.

Trading requires high knowledge and skills, if you think you don't have what it takes to trade profitably, then delay your trading plans and just settle on investing.
95  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IMPORTANT! Always check your Seed twice. on: January 05, 2024, 09:23:09 PM
Not only twice but even a lot of times. Your seed phrase is your main entrance to your wallet, if one is missing, you will definitely not access your account. If you can create a back up for your seed phrase, then it would be much better so it will be more safe and secured.

Also, keep your seed phrase privately and never try to disclose it even to the closest around you. Once you break this, then you can never have your wallet anymore as there could be someone who's already accessing it and steal all your funds.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble on Bitcoin ETF approval results? on: January 05, 2024, 06:51:23 PM
This one is quite interesting to bet though, even if we know the result does not really matters high since we know bitcoin can still be successful even without SEC's approval. But since it's the one that trends now in the social media, then there's no wrong if we can also ride with the trend and make an income of it for fun.

Well, as long as we will only bet an amount that we are comfortable of losing, I think that's fine. Whether if it's a win or loss, at least we also enjoy the fun on betting it.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 04, 2024, 10:58:47 PM
That’s the reality when gambling. We often chase bigger profits when we experience winning but we don’t really think that if gambling is capable to make us win, then it’s also capable to make us lose even bigger than the amount we have won. Although I believe majority of the gamblers do not just gamble for fun but mostly to earn a living, but let’s also be realistic that gambling can also make us lose instantly and used up all our funds before we can hit a big win.

I believe gamblers will only realized this if they have made unbearable losses. I just hope that it won’t be too late for gamblers to think on that.
98  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I require your intervention on: January 04, 2024, 09:55:18 PM
Visit often beginners and help forum board because most of the newbies concern are being discussed in there. And don’t just limit your studies there but learn from the different boards in the forum because that will also be a great help to make you understand more about bitcoin.

Patience is the key to make you succeed in your studies and learning. Take your time and don’t rush on earning an income. When you are knowledgeable enough about bitcoin, good things will follow gradually.
99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How diverse is your crypto portfolio? on: January 04, 2024, 08:38:22 PM
Hi guys!
Just wanted to know how many cryptocurrencies you're invested in? And with what percentage of your portfolio (No need to mention the amounts involved, if you don't want to). Just want to get a general sense of how everyone's diversifying their crypto assets.
I’m actually more focused on bitcoin and not on altcoins since I have seen in the past that only bitcoin survives in the end and majority of the altcoins are losing its value before it gets to its new all time high. So diversifying bitcoin with some altcoins is not my thing, but I have future plans to invest in gold and real estate as well as soon as my profits for bitcoin have been realized.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Know, But Can i Invest In Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2024, 01:52:38 PM
Bitcoin is indeed a profitable investment. However, if you just want to invest because other people are telling you to do so or you just want to be in profits like them, then don’t invest at the moment. You still have a lot of questions and hesitations in your mind that only you can answer once you have acquired knowledge in the crypto market. For now, understand your planned investment first and try to evaluate yourself if you are really prepared to invest and lose in the process. Because if not, I suggest learn first from the experiences of other people, that way you can ask yourself if you still want to take the risk or you just want to play safe and decide not to get out from your comfort zone.

Anyone that has a sufficient capital to invest is allow to invest, but never expect that you will get immediate profits because its certainly losses that newbies mostly incur the first time they invest.
