961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 16, 2022, 09:44:50 AM
I want to ask first if there's a case before where a gambling site asks for proof of income. If yes, can you share it?
I think there's this thread in this section where stake asked the OP for proof of income.

If that thing will be asked of me, that's already too much since the gambling site has nothing to do with our source of income as long as we were able to make deposits on their site legally. They supposed should not care about that part of our personal life.
I would have the same opinion that the casino shouldn't worry and think of what we do in our personal lives. But if it's written on their books that it's one document that they have to ask to someone that might have some activities that they detected to check, one has just to be obliged to comply.
I have read from some casinos that they really ask for proofs of income because that will be used to support your funds, that you are legally earning it either from your job or from your business that provides your income, and not from any form of fraud. Mainly, this is to protect the casino itself and its reputation, and  to protect the gamblers  as well from any forms of money laundering.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There Any Crypto Casino With An In-built Mini Crypto Exchange? on: December 15, 2022, 10:49:38 PM
But this could make their platform complicate things if they include this one? I think it's not worth for them if they are going to include as it might add another overhead cost for them.

Majority of them have like the features wherein you can "exchange" it to dollar value when you play like slot so you can see how much money you still have when playing and then immediately convert it back when the value loses. So when at the start you have x amount of BTC, then obviously if you losses some on the dollar value then the value of BTC also goes down for you.
So far, I have not played in a casino yet where there is a crypto exchange. Although that seems more advantage too, but it could take more capital too for a casino to create an in built exchange. I have only experienced just like with dollar exchange but not with crypto. But if it will attract more customers to play, then I think that’s a good idea casinos should start to embrace.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What New And Other Casinos Should Do To Get To The Top And Edge Top Casinos on: December 15, 2022, 09:46:31 PM
What new casinos or other casinos must do to land on the top 5 casinos in the industry, spend a lot for marketing, get a celebrity as the Casino's Ambassador, and address all concerns and issues what are the other factors they need to do for a new casino to catapult itself on the top.
I don't think there really is something that a new casino can do to be able to compete with highly reputed gambling platform right now. One thing that makes gamblers go back to these casinos are its reputation for being a long time in the industry which even a new gambler can trust on. Even if new casino will provide a better promotion or bonuses, I doubt that gamblers will shift unto playing on that platform.

Probably, the only thing that would boost a new gambling platform on almost the same level of existing top online casino is to partner with these casinos and have known people on the gambling industry to introduce and be part of their team.
I definitely agree on you on this part. Even if new casinos have better offers than those old but reputable casinos, that will not guarantee that users will turn their backs from the old casinos. It’s hard for them to leave their trusted casinos because these casinos have already proven their value and worth for so long, unlike those new casinos that are still starting and don’t even have assurance if they will survive the competition in the business.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping during live slot, or casino games. on: December 14, 2022, 09:31:31 PM

How much do you tip a slot machine attendant?
For those who visit and still enjoy the services of these live casino operators, am curious as to know how you tip the attenders. Do you tip only when you are winning and how much is too much tip to give? Also, I do not think online casinos even have this option, but if there is, can you share?

In most parts of US, any payout of more than $1,200 is paid in person by the slot floor person. The tipping here starts with a minimum amount of $20 and can be up between 3-10 percent of the jackpot reward. It however, depends on the discretion of the customer.

Do you think it is necessary to give tips or it is just a tradition that is required?

It’s more on a tradition that is not required anyway. You can or you can’t give a tip, that’s actually your choice. But for some regular gamblers, I bet giving tips is one way to show the staffs or attendants that they are being appreciated and gamblers are thankful of that. Even myself, I usually give tips regardless of any amount, but  when I’m into big profits, I make sure that I can leave them bigger amount of tips too.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: December 13, 2022, 08:29:12 PM
So this could really be a close fight and will be a battle of strategy and who will adjust.

I'm hoping that way because Tim Tszyu deserves to be recognized, Charlo is very popular already, just like his brother but I see he already found a good rival and that is Tim Tszyu. Though looking at the betting odds we might be disappointed if we are backing Tim Tszyu to win because he is the underdog, but let's view it on a positive way as that could mean more money if we win.

Oh, I bet it will be a good fight this coming January. Jermell Charlo had finally found a much interesting boxer that is really a threat on his throne and ready to dethrone him if he will be exposed, Jim Tszyu got a decent chance on defeating the current undisputed and I'm also with him. Anyway, you're right! Underdog is just a label and it's not that really big of a deal, and because of that, it will give us a decent chance to bet on him with more profits.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 13, 2022, 07:33:51 PM

Before and after I created this thread, my prediction was always Tank Davis will win because he is the better boxer and the tougher man. However, when I was looking at King Ryan's record more closely, I think he has made the much needed preparations to give him a better than expected chance to win. King Ry has very much prepared himself to fight a 5'6" left handed boxer by fighting 2 left handed boxers in his last 3 fights. The last opponent is Javier Fortuna, he is short and can knockout anyone, having much similarities to Tank. I would laugh at King Ry's bettors last week, however, we cannot laugh if we have studied his preparation more.
If there's a poll in this thread, I would appreciate it.  Smiley
please OP hear me out.

I created the poll, however, only 3 have voted and one of them is me hehehe. My vote is for Ryan Garcia because of the reasons and the speculations that I have shared already.

In any case, @Baofeng, you are one of the boxing news events expert hehe. Would you speculate that this contract dispute of Tank Davis vs. Floyd Mayweather promotions will threaten if this event will happen or not?

I would speculate though that Davis is no longer with Floyd, we all know that the Romero's fight is his last fight with Floyd. Even Floyd says that nothing last forever, so basing on that, for sure he knows that his time with Davis is done already.

So if Floyd and PBC is out of the picture then definitely they have nothing to do with Tank already and he can pursue any fight he wants including the highly anticipated Ryan Garcia fight.

Floyd Mayweather in fact said those words but I don't really believe that Mayweather accepted it like nothing really happened between them. We know that Davis is one of Floyd's favorite cow in his stable because he can provide Mayweather's needs but, there's a but, Mayweather's connections are not as good as Bob Arum and Al Haymon that can lift up Tank's name higher and that is why Tank left him.

Of course, Davis will not leave Floyd if there relationship is good, so there could be some tension and their relationship could have been fractured many years ago, so there's something going on behind the scene that we really don't know.

But I reckon as most boxers-promoters sever separation, it's all about the money. And maybe Davis is not satisfied with the money that he is getting under Mayweather.

And maybe another reason is that Tank wanted to explore and have more options and see how it goes for him career wise.

Yes, that is very likely. I mean why would the players like Tank Davis leaves their promoter if they are well compensated every match they had, right? Most cases, just like you said, Tank already thought about this and waited for the most appropriate time to leave Mayweather. Aside from that, I believe Tank Davis did the right decision because his very limited when he's with Mayweather. He could've got few good fights that could've brought him a regular belt years ago.

There were reports that surface saying that Spence is involved in another vehicular accident.

Quote
The undefeated WBA/WBC/IBF welterweight champion was the victim in a two-vehicle accident Saturday evening at an undisclosed location in the greater Dallas area. Spence’s SUV was hit head-on by an underage and unlicensed driver who ran a red light.

https://www.boxingscene.com/errol-spence-involved-accident-car-totaled-being-struck-by-underage-unlicensed-driver--171075

He was not hurt but complain about his legs though, but at least he is safe now.

Don't know what's with Spence that this is the second time that he is involved in this kind of accident. Although this one he is the victim, but still, could be a career ending injuries for him. The driver is underage and doesn't have any license, ouch.

Not the 2nd time, this is his 3rd car crash.

I don't know what's with Errol Spence Jr. but it seems to me that he is a magnet to streets when it comes to accidents and for that, he should ought to have a personal driver to drive him whenever he wanted to go or to run for his errands. He shouldn't be driving around solo because his talents will go to waste if his legs or arm will be harmed badly. Good thing that he is already safe, but those legs tho, he's saying that it hurts badly.

Thanks for the correction, yeah, same question as well, he is like a magnet for any vehicular accident waiting to happen hehehe.

Yeah, that legs is very important to a boxer too, that's how they dance, the move with their legs. Anyone see Manny Pacquiao's massive lower leg? that's where he got his power. So if a boxer doesn't have good legs most likely he can't hold himself and every time someone touches them in the chin they can easily go down.

Hopefully Spence case is different and he can recover his legs from this accident.

Yes, indeed! Aside from where they are getting their form when giving strong punches, those legs are the ones who acts as stronghold when they are receiving heavy punches too especially the ones you stated. Without those good legs, these boxers are easy to defeat. Hopefully Spence will be okay in a matter of days and it's not that really serious.

Still no news on their upcoming fight, don't know what's the hold up. Both camps should be ready to finish the dialogue much sooner to give their boxer's good time to prepare.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: December 13, 2022, 02:53:06 PM
As expected Terence Crawford gave the boxing fans around the world a good fight. Despite being known to be a slow starter, that strategy of Crawford to feel his opponent early in the fight has actually proven to be right and effective time and again.

Avanesyan has actually connected some clean shots, went aggressive, cornered Crawford a number of times, but those didn't hurt Crawford much. Crawford remained as himself, composed, all throughout the early rounds until he completely took over the fight and finish Avanesyan at 6.

That's how dangerous Crawford is because he can absorb punches and does not lose his stamina. Hopefully, this is his last tune-up fight before fighting Spence because we are anticipating that big fight to happen. Spence seemed to be unsure if he would fight though because even a mandatory fight against Thurman still has no fixed date yet.

I guess that fight has moved to a much later date because Spence's situation recently regarding that car crash that he was involved, no final details about that mandatory fight yet and people are now confused what's with Spence and Al Haymon because they are still so silent about it. They should know that they should ought to at least give a few details because there are people waiting especially their own fans.
969  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: December 12, 2022, 10:59:06 PM
Losing money on investing is a frightening proposition. However, you can protect your money and reduce stress in a falling market by avoiding five common pitfalls made by crypto investors.
Well, we can't expect the result to go as planned because that's not how it work usually. So before you decided to become a trader, it is necessary to know the possible consequences if ever the market turned bearish. Fill your mind with knowledge so that you will not be surprise if ever worse case happened.

Thus, manage your expectation, always control yourself and set aside your emotions. It's common to feel afraid at times but learn to overcome it if you want to be a huge gainer.
Position your mindset and be open for all outcomes as we can’t completely predict what will be the result of our action. Thus, expectations vs reality will really matter the most. If you know how to deal with this, you won’t fall deeply in times of market crashes. You will continue to survive despite of your losses, and with experience that you gained, success will still likely to be obtained in the end. That’s why having a positive spirit is already a success for us.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: December 11, 2022, 08:10:56 PM
With the previous six win streak via TKO by Avanesyan, didn't prove anything when he fight with Crawford, he's the one who get beaten via TKO lol. It's really one sided fight to be honest, Avanesyan's punch didn't even hurt Crawford and Crawford can control the fight until he already learn Avanesyan's strategy. The other guy e.g. Spence will high likely to win against Thurman, so we're only need to wait the big match will happen in next year.

Terence Crawford won the fight by a KO, and as expected, Crawford don't need that much time to finish his opponent and it only took him 6 rounds to figure out before he knocked out David Avanesyan. Don't really expecting that Crawford will have a struggle here, this is just a mere tune-up fight and a cherry picked fight meant only to keep Crawford in shape and at least fight once this year before he moves towards a heavier name.

Anyway, Spence and Thurman's mandatory fight might be delayed from what it forecasted because Spence was in an accident.

972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 10, 2022, 07:26:16 PM
Manny was the legendary player of boxing world with all types of matches. But DK also the good player with some good strategy towards the game.DK was master of various martial arts and it also includes of boxing. So his game was unique with different techniques. His fight against the legendary fighter Manny had a huge audience to the game of boxing.

I'm not sure though if you have followed DK career, this is boxing not martial arts exhibitions, so in any case he will be at a disadvantage here because this is Manny's bread and butter to speak off.

Unique as in what? they will just stand in front of the ring and throw bombs, you can't used your legs here.

And obviously this is just an exhibition match so fans are going to buy this fight because of Manny Pacquiao.

In short, there's nothing really exciting in this fight apart from the fact that Manny Pacquiao is returning to the limelight in the form of exhibition fights to entertain his audience as well as his fans that wanted to see him again. For me, there's really nothing big to expect on this fight as it's really not possible now that Pacquiao will a good show to give his name another hype because he's not on his professional career anymore.
Wont really be that exciting considering that he wont really be putting up his full fight seriousness considering that he's already retired and also his opponent isnt really a real boxer.
Even this man had already retired but still he would still pack a punch which would really put up DK yoo on  canvass easily but since these two should really be making up some show
time then i wont be surprised that those punches would be held back which is really something that very common to happen. He wont really be tending to finish the fight
on first round only because if he does then that would really bring up lots of complains or negative inputs that it should really bit a little longer to make their ticket purchase worth.

Yup, you're actually right about that. There is no doubt that Manny Pacquiao can still give a good fight and give knock out punches on his opponent especially in this case that DK Yoo is not that accustomed to boxing, so we can really say he's way beyond the legend's level. But this time is different because their main goal is to entertain without sacrificing each other's safety. Not possible to see people sleeping on the canvass on this type of fight.

974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: December 09, 2022, 09:16:49 PM
I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.

I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.
It’s not really advisable to bet all in no matter what’s the probability. Chances are, you will lose all your money instantly, or you will be a big time winner which will only rare to happen. So never go for all in betting. Gamble only on the amount you can afford to lose, otherwise you will face financial problems with gambling and you will have to live with it with no choice.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I became Independent Because of Cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2022, 08:56:42 PM
I know this is just silly story but I want to tell you that my bitcoin journey is not fascinating but here I want to tell.
In 2017 I started Bitcoin trading and also got skeptical in crypto. I lost too much much money but I got resilient. Cause I know that their is a future for me in this.
After late 2019 beacsue I took admission in university and now I am  independent and I do not need Money from my parents and that's good for me. I started making Money from crypto. I am And that was joy for me. Now I am making 100 dollars plus form crypto. That is enough for me.

That’s a great start, congratulations. We can always benefit from crypto as long as we never think of quitting just because of initial losses. Of course, losing is inevitable in trading but that won’t mean that we will always keep on losing, we will gain rewards eventually after we finally learn how to be good traders. Just keep the momentum. Although the profits are not that big, but the fact that you keep on honing your trading skills, you will do great in the future. Break a leg!
976  Economy / Economics / Re: From grace to grass:Reasons why a Well to do investor turned a nobody. on: December 09, 2022, 06:45:56 PM
So many times we see people who were financially bouyant and stable reduced to nothing in the society,is it because they failed to strategise well?or could it be that they no longer put in the much effort they put before that got them to the level they were?what can actually be the cause of the downfall of someone who was already stable financially?
In my experience the main reason for this to happen is having too much debt, and when an unexpected event happens which force them to get even more debt then it becomes too much for them and they go bankrupt, it is my opinion that governments, businesses and even people manage themselves as if the good times will never be over and the bad times will never come, this creates the illusion they are doing very well but as soon as they have to face adversity they fold like a cheap suit.
Yes. Debt is something like a trap that will eventually pull you down and make your life turn into disaster. Although it’s also a case to case basis, but if you can’t make your way out from debt, you’ll definitely be stuck in there. The reason why even a used to be financially and well to do investor ends up into nobody because he can’t get out from that situation until all his possessions have gone to thin air.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Types Of Online Casinos To Avoid.. on: December 08, 2022, 10:53:18 PM
We have seen how some newbie users on this forum make a complaint on casino ANN about their problem on the casino and the problem is attended to via their admin on their ANN thread, this shows that a casino with an active thread on this forum also helps to increase the chances of getting through to the dev team if all other options failed to yield result.

most casinos will rather prefer users to use the live support on the site but the problem some time with online support is the use of bots by the casino as live chat support but bitcointalk members are human and can understand some English differently from what a hot will understand.

The online casino to avoid are those that does not have an active admin here on bitcointalk even though their have various review scores.
Right. Having an active Ann thread here in the forum could be a great factor that members will consider because it will make easier and comfortable for them to gamble if they can rely on the thread especially when they want to raise complaints and need immediate solution. However, if that online casino has none, i guess it could be a red flag from becoming a reliable casino.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: December 08, 2022, 09:54:47 PM
I have experienced some guys who are chronic gamblers making unimaginable predictions from football player's jersey numbers, basket ball, hockey, rugby etc jersey's numbers. I have experienced this and their prediction is only based on these numbers shown on TV sports analysis consistently and regularly.
These chronic gamblers feel that when these jersey numbers keep flashing on your TV stations maybe during the sports news, analysing the jersey numbers on different clubs and display of the jersey numbers may be a sign that such number will appear as draw for the week and they do their permutations on that.

This is for example what I'm saying with the jersey numbers not about the person but numbers precisely.

The pictures are different and analysed differently for the week.
Like 7,19
Another week 10,7,17
Another week 10,7,17,10 (probably 10 confirmation of banker  Grin for this week)
Another week 8,7,8,10 (probably 8 confirmation of banker for this week)
Another week 16,15
Another week 10

So this particular guy in Nigeria around 5 years ago followed some Jersey numbers he has been monitoring for the week and according to him 3 of the numbers where consistently and regularly appearing on different TV stations for the week and he concluded some numbers and went to stake them 3/3 in the weekend draws and behold! When the matches were played all turned out draws and this guy cashed out from different pool shops where he did the stakings. It was a big winning story in the area alongside few guys he gave the numbers to try their luck.

My question is, have you experienced this kind of gambling with Jersey numbers ?

Note: The pictures are just to illustrate my point with the jersey not particular about who was wearing it and I didn't need to link any source because any jersey number will do or can be imagined, at most written with bare hands.
I have not experienced with this jersey numbers but I have experienced similar thing with it. What I did is to arrange those numbers randomly coming from my dreams, or what I usually saw on tv, or even remembering those numbers with important events. And then bet them on lottery gambling, if lucky enough win a small amount but I have never been winning big prizes with this kind of strategy, but I think others have been making it big.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 07, 2022, 09:57:07 PM
Crimes can happen everywhere even in Churches there were crimes committed, safety should be our concern wherever we are and we can do this if we know how to be observant of places and people so we should all practice safety and be observant of anything suspicious
This is right especially if you enter a place that has a relation with money, the crime chance will increase too.

@OP although you can gamble using online casino and you think no one can know your location and house since you're not sharing your information except to the casino, you need to think there's a chance if the casino's security leaked and criminal know your location. You could be targeted by $5 wrench attack if you're a huge bettors. So make sure you're protect your privacy and know the risk first.
Reality is when people know you are a gambler, they will start to assume that you have tons of money to lose or to add on it, so gamblers should always know the risk so they can always protect their selves from different    crimes that could happen around. That is why gamblers should always leave their excess money at their own trusted wallet and just bring significant amount intended to gamble, that is to avoid yourself from being the victim of stealing or whatever crime wherein money is the root cause.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: December 06, 2022, 08:30:39 AM
No Contest result for Casimero but for us, he is the winner if just Akaho will not acted strangely and continue to fight.

It is obvious that Akaho was hurt, it is just a matter of time on that round to putting Akaho on his knee but the referee to the rescue.  Another thing, if that was a true illegal blow, they could have made the ringside physician look at Akaho asap, but it took them several minutes to do so making me think that is indeed one of the plans of the officiating official to save Akaho when a thing like that happens.

Let's not go in that discussion because if we say that the officiating officials are unfair and they favored Akaho, then we would've also said in general that Japanese officials in boxing organization are unprofessional. We know that they are not like that as they are the most professional people we know as it's on their culture already not to cheat or something like that. Let's just say that Akaho was the one who is unprofessional and scared to add defeats on his record that is why he decided to have that act that give embarrassment to the whole Japanese boxing community. I'd say that they aren't letting that one slide and will investigate about it.
Lets not generalize because thats not how Japanese behavior and traits which we know that they are indeed honest and its impossible that they would really play along on what Akaho been doing.
Ive seen on how many replays that it wasnt really that a solid back head blow or rather it hit up on the neck. The reaction time was too delay which it would really be giving you
suspicious thinking that it is really just pure acting. So this one ends up on no contest? So this ends up on having no match or record at all?
that guy is so fucking clever.

That's what I'm trying to say, let's just put Akaho's fate on the Japanese official's hands because I know they will investigate on it as Akaho brought embarrassment to the whole boxing community of Japan. We all know that they won't support that kind of tricks that will put the nation's name in jeopardy even if the person was one of their own. Nevertheless, we know that Casimero can still do a good job in this division and I hope he will be paired again early next year because the fight he had was a bit shorter than expected.

The match was of course recorded but it is on the expense of Casimero as he was now portrayed to be the bad guy who punched a boxer at the back of his head that leads to a no contest fight.
