1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2022, 08:51:06 AM
I’m also curious how Anthony Davis is going to play once LeBron James is back in the lineup. If he could keep his recent numbers with LeBron along side him then the Lakers might again be a problem.

The chemistry between Anthony Davis and Lebron James is not really a problem.

Regardless if James is there or not, I see Anthony Davis will still maintain his consistent recent performance.

What I'm worried about are those guys that still not yet getting along smoothly with LBJ on the court. If LeBron James now comes back, expect some PG role again on his side that might change the phase of playing of their supporting role players.

But who knows. Let's see then.

Yes, there is nothing to worry about these two as they are already used to be playing side-by-side since Lebron came to Los Angeles and won the championship last 2020. They aren't the problem really, their struggle is being consistent in any given game including the rest of the roster. But lately, they have been showing some improvement. But still, it is too early to conclude because they are still struggling to reach 4–5-win streaks to improve their rankings.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 26, 2022, 07:01:07 PM

Well, right now, Casimero should know his place first as he is a first timer in this division and might be best for him to lower his head first because he doesn't have anything yet to boast. Not sure what happened to him lately after he was stripped because that made him changed but there's surely a reason why or he maybe just learned his lesson because having a bigmouth seems not helping his situation.

Indeed he has to prove himself on this fight.  Going up after losing the titles and the scandal that cost him his title is a huge factor that downgrade his popularity.  So he should KO Akaho in this fight to regain those lost popularity and once again prove that Casimero did not fall to becoming an oridnary boxer after moving up his weight division.

I agree that a knockout will be the ultimate goal for Casimero to retrieve what he has lost recently, except for that title, obviously. But a win is a win even if it is just a UD. He should just forget about achieving more if he cannot really do it this time as he still needs some adjustment because he haven't got any fights for some time now. Defeating Akaho will still mean the same thing, he will still go through the ranks.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: November 26, 2022, 05:12:25 PM
David Bernavidez seems really hungry to fight Canelo, even though he only won the WBC interim supper middleweight title, but he want to a challenge against the top boxer in this division. I think he's a threat for Canelo, that's why Canelo reject his offer to fight with him. Actually Canelo doesn't in good position, he can't fight with light heavyweight boxer to get belt and there's few boxer keep improving themselves to challenge Canelo.

Between this fight, I'd pick David Benavidez over Caleb Plant. I've saw some of his fights already and I think that this David Benavidez is indeed ready to fight the undisputed boxer, Saul Canelo Alvarez as he also had the right skills to at least keep up with the current undisputed. Although we cannot really say and confirm that Canelo is ducking on him because the latter is quite busy climbing the light-heavyweight but if David will pull an upset this time, I bet his next foe will be Canelo.
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 25, 2022, 08:51:19 PM
Yes, in our country, I would say that cockfighting specially during the pandemic, is very rampant as you can play it online. But even prior to it, I used to be avid fan or bettors of this cock fight, so yeah I'm more familiar with it and I would say that I win some money in the past.

Of course, there will always be some groups that are going to condemn this kind of games that involved animals specially in the end one of them are killed for the sake of human betting on them and making money. So to each his/her own belief.
Cockfighting has already evolved a long long time ago. But if we can try to stop it in this new generation, I think that will a lot of help to lengthen the lives not only for those cocks but definitely for those animals who have been fighting each other just to win a bet. For me, it’s more on animal cruelty so it should be encourage to be ban or to stop betting in animals.

You think everyday is yours? Well that wasn’t Sams day and he lost it all. I am pretty sure he is poor by number but not by his bank account. He was billionaire with sound brain so he must have invested and saved up lot of money along the way. The fact is, we can not be rich in the crypto all the time and not all of us can be rich at the same time if you ask me. If someone is buying then someone is selling and it depends whether they are selling or buying in loss/profit. For Sam it was tragic, we are already in the bear, we already lost big chunk of money from the market and then FTX happened. What could have he done? Just wait and watch.
Definitely it’s a tragic event for Sam, but knowing he has a brilliant mind and knows that cryptocurrency will never be for everyone, then for sure Sam has also did a lot of successful investments outside cryptocurrency. So he might be very down and frustrated these days, but it never means that his assets and bank account have gone down into zero value.
1006  Other / Off-topic / Re: Increase in cost of running the family on: November 25, 2022, 07:57:02 PM
I see that this is reality that the cost of running the family house hold daily, weekly, monthly and yearly has increased. From different people that have complained and including friends, it is getting so much of frustration to taking good care of the family to live fine because inflation and no job. To buy basic need in the house not easy. A friend that have add a new born to his home complaining of buying diaper, provisions for the new child as expensive in addition to the expenses to take care of the other children. The situation of bringing up the family is not easy and I think one way to helping ourselves not to add more financial burden is by reducing the number of children we give birth to. This can help.

This friend of mine now complain so much because of the new child adding to his family. If we reduce the child bearing to the amount we can take care , it will reduce the heat we are feeling from the bad economy experience.
This is the reason why a government is encouraging the parents to only bear a child according to the parents’ capability to provide. Because if the mother is consistently bearing a child, the child will not be given enough needs due to prices increasing in all of the basic commodities. If the parents will stick to family planning, I think that will give the kids brighter future because parents can cater to all their needs.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Chinese Man Won $29,392,922.00 & Refused to tell His Wife and child on: November 25, 2022, 07:36:36 PM
I think that is not something new in the gambling. There are bunch of news about the winner refused to publish their identity for the various reason. Im thinking about that guy may not wanna see his wife knows if he was actively doing gambling. That's why even he was winning big reward and his wife may become lazy to did work with him caused by he understood once someone was winning big reward and it can make his family become lazy and they didn't wanna work again. I think that must become most potential reason why he didn't wanna tell his wife and child about his reward from doing gambling.
There were so many old cases that pretty similar with it. From his reason if he wants also educate his family to always working hard and not depends with the reward that already won.
that's such a very wise decision by him to educate his family.
I understand the he is only concern whatever negative effects that the money will cause to his family, but if I were to win that huge amount, I’ll chose to be more honest to my wife and child. It could give us more opportunities to improve our lives by building business of our own and helping each other to make it grow. Or it could also be a good educational insurance for the child so that his future will be more secured. But the money is gone now, so better not to tell his wife and child forever.

4. Move it out of the exchange to an external wallet. Don't leave your bitcoin on centralized exchanges. Happy being a bitcoin holder.
current market conditions are perfect for buying and holding Bitcoins. to save it I recommend using the Electrum wallet. because indeed after what happened to FTX, it gave a bad impression to keep our assets on the exchange. it is indeed the wrong way, but in so long, I believe many of the investors or traders also keep their Bitcoins in exchanges. now everyone will be more alert.
Yes, with the FTX previous event, investors will be now more mindful on their investments and to make it more safe and secured, find a cold storage that will be free from possible hackers online. Do not trust online exchanges anymore as they can be very frustrating in the end, and might be the reason of losing everything we have in the future.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 24, 2022, 07:44:23 PM
Idk man looked like he just used his wife and child as an excuse, and his original goal is, well, really, his privacy. The wife and child may also be part of the bigger idea but it isn't everything I guess, other family members, friends, heck even random people by the road may be a part of it. I do wonder if he's able to actually hide it for so long and where he's planning to spend it. If it was a backup investment for his children in the future then it's rather understandable why he sees no need to tell it to his family.
I understand his point of view to keep his privacy and to stay away from those people who might take advantage on his won amount. It’s his decision so we also have to respect it. But for me, I would rather want my family to know it, especially my wife and child but maybe explain to them that the money will not be used for the present but it is intended for the bright future of the child and for the emergency funds of the family. That way, they will know their limits.
1010  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider appearance in business and employment? on: November 23, 2022, 09:37:07 PM
I never truly believed this, it just doesn't make sense. I mean if you are a great worker, do you really need to look good as well? Look at Steve Jobs, dude wore a jean, a turtleneck and a new balance shoe and made billions of dollars selling products that wasn't even his.

That is why I believe that it’s not really important to look like a businessman, not everyone needs a big business suit like three piece or something, that just doesn't make sense, sure look clean, nobody would like to work with someone who smells and has odour coming from both them and their clothes, but at the end of the day it’s not going to be really that much of a big deal what you wear.
Well, I believe the quality of your work is all that matters than wearing high class suits. However, if you are an employee of a big and popular company where wearing appropriate dress is highly required, then you have no choice but to comply with it. Otherwise, you’ll always be reprimanded because of not following the company’s rules.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: November 21, 2022, 03:01:09 PM
Although Anthony Yarde's result looks convincing, but his biggest fight was only against Lyndon Arthur and Sergey Kovalev, he lose against those both boxers. I think this is an another easy fight for Artur Beterbiev, he can knocking out Yarde.

Arthur Beterbiev knows what's coming after this fight a possible unification bout against Bivol which is long time coming, compared to Bivol who beat a fighter considered to be tough, easily, Beterbiev needs to show something different here by knocking out Yarde, Beterbiev has a perfect knock out record, and for him not to knock out Yarde will give an impression to Bivol and the boxing community that he is getting old, he should not only be dominant here but end the fight with a spectacular knock out to show Bivol and the boxing community that he still has it.

It could not be different for Beterbiev though, he has been knocking out his opponents.

But Yarde is though, but I don't see him having a chance against Beterviev, is only fighting the left over in this division. One thing that we have to look at Beterviev age, but it doesn't matter unless he become old because of his operation but I doubt that.

No odds yet out from sports bookies as the fight is next year, but as we have mentioned, Beterviev will be the odd favorite no question about it.

Beterbiev will be always the same, it's just that there's no boxer right now who can fight him toe-to-toe and can shake off his punches like it's nothing. The man is a pure heavy hitter and just this year, he defeated Joe Smith in just mere 2 rounds by a way of TKO. That just shows how strong he is and here's Yarde talking big that he will defeat Beterbiev, nobody would buy that because his chances against the 3-belt holder is really slim.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 21, 2022, 01:58:14 PM

As per Spence this is his reason for not wanting to give Thurman a fight:

Quote
Spence has been steadfast that he would never give Thurman a shot at his three titles because Thurman showed no interest in fighting him years ago.

It is normal as an act of retaliation since during the peak of Thurman's career Spence was ignored by Thurman, so now that the world turned upside down, it is an obvious revenge for Spence to ignore Thurman this time but i looks like it won't work out because the council had ordered a mandatory def fight against Thurman.  I don't know if there is a penalty if Spence don't heed the order of the boxing council.

Yes, it is. But even if the world has now turned upside down for this two boxers, Thurman is still the one who is smiling because Spence's situation is not that easy and not the same when Thurman rejected him few years back. Spence here can still retaliate to Thurman to make the situation even but he should know that his actions do have consequences because he will be stripped of his WBC title as a penalty for declining the mandatory fight.

I see so there is no other way for Spence but to agree with the mandatory fight.  Btw, while watching Thurman's fight against Manny Pacquiao and Porter, there are instances where I see Thurman paused during the fight, which might be one of the keys to victory for Spence.   Whenever Thurman is hit in the body, Thurman seems to feel it.  Just like in this part of the video where Thurman pauses almost got knockdown before Thurman back away  and even gets his mouthpiece out in order to breathe the pain out.

Wow! That replay says it all and I certainly believe that Spence's camp already saw this video because is very public and clearly shows his weaknesses, he certainly got the agility and stamina but his resistance is not that good. In that particular video, Manny Pacquiao could've had knocked him down when he ducked and paused, he is just too lucky because Pacquiao is not someone who will take advantage in times like that. But Spence on the other hand, we never know.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: November 21, 2022, 01:08:40 PM
Ryan Garcia is finally fighting against somebody who is in his level. He has been cherry picking in his last fights. I would understand if a tune-up fight against a weaker opponent is necessary after he is inactive and is not well. But it made me wonder why after a tune-up fight another tune-up fight was still needed. But that's the past already. At least for now he is already choosing a worthy opponent. His trash talks, confidence, and a bit of arrogance will now be tested inside the ring.

It was all Oscar Dela Hoya's decision to take a tune-up fight after that inactivity, but it wasn't a tune-up fight after tune-up fight because Ryan Garcia has been already scheduled to fight with Javier Fortuna around April 2021 after he fought with Luke Campbell but Garcia and his camp withdrew because he was having a mental breakdown from the depression and anxiety he was facing. Emmanuel Tagoe was the only tune-up fight.

1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: November 20, 2022, 06:04:07 PM
Realized it's not Ryan Garcia he's fighting this Jan7. I actually thought the date was moved from Jan to May which Tank will also be fighting with Ryan.
Davis really needs a lot of money to resolve his cases and for this, he's going to whack the 2 Garcias. Ryan will get a title shot against Haney if he goes to jail right?

Only the hardcore boxing fans knows who Hector is, he isn't also a walk in the park. I wonder if Tank's fight with Ryan will be canceled if he loses against Hector by unexpected upset.

Quote
Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) later announced Friday on Instagram that he's set to fight 130-pound titleholder Hector Luis Garcia on Jan. 7 in Washington D.C. The fight, which Davis must win to move onto the planned April 15 bout vs. Garcia (Ryan), will be a Showtime PPV, according to a source, and will be contested at 135 pounds rather than 130 for Garcia's title.
https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/35048076/ryan-garcia-gervonta-davis-agree-catchweight-showdown

Well, it says here that Tank Davis should have a win in his first bout versus Hector (his debut in 135 lbs.) so that his fight with Ryan Garcia will go through afterwards. Now, that time frame is too short to prepare for a fight with Hector Garcia, don't know which they're underestimating between the two Garcia's because the fight schedule is just too close with each other with just only 2 months of preparation.

1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 20, 2022, 04:56:45 PM
I like it when Casimero and his camp are not making many appearances in public and online, unlike his previous fights where they're always noisy and the vloggers keep making videos out of him. He needs to be very serious if he wants to continue his boxing career. I believe he should be able to beat Akaho and hopefully in an impressive way.

Meanwhile, the WBC mandated 122 WBO/WBC champ Stephen Fulton to rematch Brandon Figueroa at 126 for the WBC interim belt. Should Fulton accepts the mandate, his 2 122 belts might become vacant which is a good opportunity for Casimero and even for Inoue. Maybe Casimero and Inoue will fight for a vacant belt right away.

Funny thing is we aren't used by Casimero's silence after climbing the super bantamweight division, it is so unlikely of him to be this serious without making any appearances or noise for teasing his foes. But it's a good thing because he really is serious this time and will just want to surprise the world again of his return after the issue he was in few months before. Anyway, I'm really positive that he can defeat Akaho, I just want to see how will Casimero deliver the message in this division.
1016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 20, 2022, 03:59:02 PM
Will this be another season that Lakers fail in even qualifying for playoffs?

Considering the current level of performance, they are really going that way for now. They are the second worst team in the Western Conference after Rockets now. Lebron is giving his best in every single game as usual. Now he has got a thigh injury and missed three games because of it already. If they have another very poor season then I assume Lebron might think of leaving in case he gets a reasonable offer. He is already waiting for playing beside his son and the team don't matter for him I assume.

Seriously not. Judging from their recent performance, yes they got a few wins along the way but they are still struggling to be consistent which is surely not enough to even qualify in the play-in tournament. And if that's already their limit then they should start rebuilding in the next season because their current roster won't get anywhere far.

But they still have a chance to improve while the qualifying phase is still far, I'm thinking that they should stop revolving around Lebron because that's mostly where they messed up, Lebron end up working alone because they are following his play. Let Lebron adjust because there's no doubt that he can still contribute, let the other players step up so that they will be the ones who will end up carrying the team because Lebron cannot do that job anymore.
1017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: November 20, 2022, 03:38:30 PM
Rival promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom was quick to say that Yarde is a good guy but Beterbiev is a different beast and this fight will turn into a mismatch.

It really is a mismatch, no one in the light heavyweight division can match Beterbiev's power but Bivol, Yarde can describe him as slow but he will not be too quick to duck Beterbiev's powerbomb, I expect Beterbiev to knock this guy out if Kovalev who beat Yarde can knock him down with a jab what more with Beterbiev's combination, of course, Beterbiev is a harder puncher than Kovalev.

I certainly agree! There is nobody in the lightweight division who can destroy the current Artur Beterbiev and crack him open, fellow Russian boxer Dimitry Bivol who holds the WBA title might have a chance but Anthony Yarde? He can bark all he want but nobody would agree with him especially after the fact that he already have two defeats in his record. Barking about slow and all yet he cannot even defeat Kovalev.

1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to prevent cheating in a game on: November 18, 2022, 07:38:59 PM
As a gambler we always put winning first in our minds because nobody will want to place a bet when he already knows that he will loose,it is like throwing away your funds. Since winning brings happiness to us and we feel like playing more games for fun,I guess most gamblers can even go at length to cheat if they can.

I could remember back then as kids we get carried away in any game that we play due to the excitement we derive from the game, therefore we look for a way to cheat in other to win the game. So many gamblers have thought or looked for different ways in which they can understand how to cheat  in the game they are gambling on so that they can win, while some so that they can just keep on playing over and over again.

As a gambler what prevention measures will you take in other not to cheat on your game that you know a way on cheating to win or will you go ahead and cheat ?
If you’re a cheater, then you will always be a cheater no matter what. So cheating is always an individual’s choice. But to avoid future circumstances, then always play the game fairly and avoid cheating as much as possible. That way, aside that you won’t ruin your own reputation, you will also leave a good image in gambling when the time comes you decide to quit gambling.
1020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What have Bitcoin or crypto change in your life? on: November 18, 2022, 06:34:44 PM
Bitcoin has significantly altered various aspects of my personality. My thinking, spending, saving, and investing habits have all changed as a result of my exposure to bitcoin. This it has done for me in its own perspective it is designed for.

After learning about bitcoin, I now understand what it is to be patient in life, how to take risks in life, and when to and when not to go with something. In reality, bitcoin not only teaches you how to manage it, but also how to move on or participate in certain aspects of life.
Bitcoin is not just about investment and money, it is always beyond that. And the moment i started learning about bitcoin, my perspective in life has been affected too, from being generous just like a one day millionaire to becoming a frugal one, from being wild and impatient, now i started to become patient and slowly realized the value of money. So bitcoin has brought positive changes in my life, not totally in terms of financial independence, but becoming more of what i am today is more worthy than money.
