Not just a former UFC champ but also into this sport, Silva is enjoying switching into a boxing ring, and now after that sold out tickets
it is expected to see him performing to impress more fans.

We will see how both celebrity fighters will engage during the fight. What I mean by calling them celebrities is because they are not
really known as a pro fighter for this sport, but they gain interest from the fans.

Looking to see real toe-to-toe engagement, exchanges of real punches that brings the hype for this event.
Is there any Jake Paul's fan in this forum? Cheesy I think everyone is really hate him and want he to fight with a prime boxer, just like on his social medias. Maybe his fans is only his family, promoters and team since Paul can make huge amount money by just fighting a weak or unexperienced boxer.

I've said on the other thread if I will bet Paul, but the reason is not because I'm a Jake Paul fan, but we already know Paul is 99% will win.

Not a fan either but you really have to give it to the Paul brothers on how they build up themselves in the last 2 years in the world of exhibition matches that now they have own boxing company and handling millions of dollars every fight.

And they owe it to their fans (I also doubt that they have one here because members here are purely for boxing), so in any case it's their fans that bring money to them.

Same here, I'm not a fan of this Paul Brothers as well and haven't had an interesting encounter that made me excited to watch them in one of their fights, I didn't even watched his older brother, Logan, we he fought with Mayweather as both of them only wanted the money and giving some entertainment to their fans is the least of their goals.

There might be fans of Logan and Jake here but I guess they are just afraid to come out because they probably knew they will just get themselves embarrassed. Just saying Cheesy

Probably, but they can show their face, there is nothing wrong about it. But for sure they could be some heat on them or as you put it, could be embarrassment for them because we don't like or not a fan of this exhibition match that Jake Paul and his brother made famous for in the last 2 years.

But if they are happy and making huge money, they why not? even the likes of Floyd and even Manny Pacquiao has a exhibition fight in December. So this hype will continue whether we are a fan of this exhibition match or not.

Of course there's nothing wrong about that but I doubt they will go out and show their faces proudly, they aren't that courageous for sure. But these days, my perspective for Jake Paul has changed when he announced that he and Silva will establish the "United Fighters Association" dedicated to help fighters who doesn't receive the right cut. But that is if he will be the winner of this fight and fortunately enough, Jake Paul has won the fight against his own idol.

@Vaculin. Who will Spence challenge in the higher weight division? Will it be the champion? It might be because Errol Spence's team has calculated the rewards and the risks. A fight for the unification of the welterweight championships might be high reward, however, there is higher risk. A challenge against the boxer in the higher weight division is also high reward, however, lower risk.

It's not yet confirmed who will he fight next nor confirmed that he will really climb the next division. Rumors says that Spence will fight the undisputed champion in 154 lbs., Jermell Charlo. I mean, who else? I don't seriously think that Spence will go through the ranks or fight the #1 contender which is Sebastian Fundora as it won't be marketable. If that's the case, he should just clean his own division first before climbing the higher weight class.

The thing with Thurman is that he is a former champion in 147 lbs, it's that he got injured, lost to Manny and then go on a long haitus already he made a comeback and win again. So it's like for promoters they have to weigh things, which one will give them more money Ortiz or Ennis who I might say doesn't have the name yet in 147 lbs, or a established name like Thurman that could sell fights if Spence wanted to fight next?

I don't think Thurman could be the best market out of the three named boxers because people wouldn't believe that Thurman can stand a chance against Spence. We already know the history, Ugas defeated Pacquiao and Spence defeated Ugas while Thurman here was defeated by Pacquiao. Can't imagine if Pacquiao-Spence fight wasn't cancelled. That is why it's much better for Spence to pick Ennis.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2022, 02:37:07 PM
It will be on Monday against the Denver Nuggets and this team isn't going to go easy on them as they also have a good run at the first games that they've got unlike the Lakers.

The Nuggets are a pretty strong team, and the Lakers will probably play without Davis again. So it will be quite expected if the Lakers' losing streak increases to 6 games in a row. Honestly, it's a pity that Davis is so prone to injury. He can really be an effective player, but he misses games due to injuries once again, although the regular season has just begun. This looks like an unsolvable problem both for himself and the team.
It will be another disappointing match if that's the case, and I agree that the Nuggets are a strong team and there's no doubt about that. The same with the Laker's struggle is the Brooklyn Nets which is having the impression of a strong team. Well, we're having super-strong teams that struggle in their early matches. They're 1-5 and that's one win lead against the Lakers.  Lips sealed

Glady they managed to break their losing streak but it was a tough challenge for them because the Nuggets is a strong team leaded by Jokic and Murray. Now the Nets and Lakers are tied in terms of their standings, Brooklyn Nets next opponent is still the Pacers. What do you think, will they defeat the Pacers this time? Or we might see another defeat?
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Early Is It Now, For Those Who Missed Bitcoin In Its Early Days? on: October 30, 2022, 09:41:40 PM
This thought is based on an experience I had with my brother yesterday, he is just joining the space, he has some money which he wished to invest in crypto, I adviced him to buy bitcoin for now, but after looking at the current price of bitcoin and comparing it to some other altcoins, and also that his money can only afford him about BTC0.07, he refused and said he would rather invest in an altcoin that it's  price is still below a dollar

I had the same problem when I first heard of Bitcoin. And I wasted 1.5 years mostly with worthless altcoins.
I was lucky and the period I've wasted matched a bear market. But will your brother be this lucky? I doubt it. 1.5 years is already after next halving.

So you better convince him to DCA instead of wasting his money in coins that now worth 1$ and in 2 years they'll worth less than 1 cent. He doesn't have to buy 1BTC, nor 0.07BTC. He can start with even 0.007BTC or less; let him start much smaller until he gets comfortable with all this. Just make sure he doesn't waste too much with various exchanges' withdrawal fees (since it can be very disappointing at small amounts).
Just tell your brother that if he wants to be a millionaire, then he should always ready to take the risk and not afraid to buy bitcoin even at its higher price. Bitcoin may be costly, but when it comes to profit making, it will also give us the huge returns more than any coins can made. Suggest him to do DCA with bitcoin, if he can’t do that, I guess he’s not destined to become a millionaire when halving finally happens.
1065  Economy / Economics / Re: Almost 50% of Gen Z and Millennials want crypto in retirement funds: Survey on: October 28, 2022, 06:02:55 PM
Too risky proposition! Retirement fund needs to be stable in return and appreciation. It must not be a rollercoaster ride. I understand that millennials and Gen Z are willing to take risk but that risk appetite will decrease with the growing age. What rollercoaster ride seems to be enjoyable now, might become scary later.

So my take is that, bitcoin must not be a part of pension fund at all. If people want, they can invest by themselves and build a portfolio over a period of time.
Pension funds need to be safe and secured, and investing in cryptocurrencies might certainly bring them a bigger risk of losing their funds in the end. However, with regards to bitcoin, these Gen Z and millennials can always invest in it but with an amount they can afford to lose, maybe a small portion of their funds which they won’t consider a big issue once lose. After all, these Gen Z and millennials are smarter and more technology inclined compared to other generations, so probably they are now aware of the risk that crypto brings.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: October 28, 2022, 04:50:01 PM

Also, I understand your argument, however, my argument is why did he not choose Boots Ennis, Vergil Ortiz or Keith Thurman? What is the purpose of fighting Avanesyan?

Of course, because these boxers are big threats to his title he only wants a tune fight because there is a possibility that the fight will happen next year, same with the case of Spence he will not fight these three, I will be surprised if Spence will fight any of the three, he will likely choose fight that is not on his level but will poise a challenge to his skill, its really bad that they did not agree on small details, but as long as both are on the welterweight and they have their respective titles the negotiation is still open.

If Spence is also fighting someone similar to Avanesyan to avoid Ortiz, Boots Enmis or Thurman then I want an answer to the question on why Terence Crawford is going to fight Avanesyan instead of the real contenders. I reckon no one will say it because it would prove that the first argument presented is correct.

I guess Spence fighting Thurman would be a good fight to witness, we will forget our disappointment in the Crawford vs Spence fight that didn't happen. This one should is easy for Crawford, so let's see who will Spence fight, hopefully one of the names you've mentioned.

Nope, too early for Thurman to have his chance in fighting a title fight and I think he should at least get through the ranks first before he fight Spence. There's Ortiz Jr. and Ennis to start with, aside from that, Spence will just give Thurman his second defeat that is why I'm thinking that the latter should survive the ranks first before fighting the champions.
Now I'm also curious why Spence is heading to 154 lbs, he should fight Ennis or Ortiz too, so that he can prove that he is not ducking nobody. Too obvious, I reckon.
1067  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: October 28, 2022, 07:05:11 AM
I also believe that once this bear season is over, there will be some top coins that will not be able to recover and will be replaced by some new and more potential coins which is inevitable. The altcoin market is always like that, they will always change after every cycle, so to be honest, investing in the top 10 except BTC and ETH, all the rest is very risky.

The good tactic in a bear market in my opinion is to focus mainly on BTC and ETH, the rest look for new gems in the market instead of the top altcoins. For example, the recent Aptos project could also be new gems that will replace someone in the next bull season.
It’s a certain fact that altcoins in the market do not stay for long in their marketcap position, either they fall on the bottom or just gone eventually like a thin air. Even established altcoins that are on top of the list cannot sustain their position, except for ethereum and bitcoin that have been very consistent in their market position. So I’d say hodling long term for those top coins do not guarantee profits in the end. But with bitcoin and ethereum, history proves it that they can always gain sustainable profits.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 27, 2022, 03:39:57 PM
I agree and don't mind doing that.

Especially for "CASINO" who asking KYC at the time we're registered and "BEFORE WE DEPOSIT" the fund. The problem we are facing is, some of CASINO is asking KYC at the time we're winning or after we deposit the money.

Another things for "KYC" problem: Source of Income & Proof of address in some third country not everyone have this, because most of us, still living in the family. I'm hoping to get a solution for this one, it's make a big problem for some people.

Majority of these casinos nowadays are just taking advantage and using the KYC method to prevent users from withdrawing their funds, it really looks like that they just want us, the bettors, to deposit and deposit without enjoying their winnings and that's where nasty things begin. Honestly, I also don't mind at all if they will ask KYC because I understand that they are just following what the authorities wanted them to do but they should ask it up front when registering or when making some deposits and not when we decide to withdraw it.

The Brooklyn Nets lost against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Desmond Bane is the guy who did most of the damage, especially in the 2nd half where he made 32 points while Ja Morant never stops to amaze his fans with 38 points and 4/6 from downtown.
He's doing better in shooting threes than the previous year. Defenders cannot just leave him alone behind the arc.
I am really sad for Ben Simmons, I think the officials are targeting him. The 5th foul was questionable already and he just spent 1 minute in the game then the 6th foul happened which made Coach Nash furious.  Grin
Good sportsmanship from Kyrie after the game.

The Brooklyn Nets haven't started well into the league this year, either. To be honest Memphis is a good team, Ja Morant and Bane's performance was pretty good. I think it's one of the best playing teams of the year. But the Brooklyn Nets also have a pretty good roster. Despite this, I think it's a bit sad that they are losing the match, actually Irving and Durant are playing very well, but these performances are not enough to win the match Smiley

If you look closely, the Memphis Grizzlies players doesn't rely heavily on their star players and as you can see, most of them can score double digits especially Morant and Bane that is why they can easily deliver their team to a win. While the Nets situation is a bit different, yes, they got a good roster but only KD and Irving are mostly driving the ball and the ones who contribute mostly for the team. Anyway, the season have just started, we will see a lot of improvement soon.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Point Do You Start Accepting Bitcoin as a Payment Option For Your Business? on: October 26, 2022, 09:26:33 PM
I have read more than five (5) posts on this forum where users celebrate accepting bitcoin as a payment option for their business. Outside of the forum, we have read news of companies such as Microsoft, Home Depot, Twitch, Whole Foods, Gyft, Benfica accepting bitcoin as a payment. The question that has been on my mind for quite a long time is that-at what point do you think a business should start accepting bitcoin as a payment option, considering profit margin, price stability, and manipulation from exchanges?

It all depends for certain reasons. First, I’ll only have to accept bitcoin as a payment option once the government starts accepting it and support it as a legal currency. Second, if majority of my consumers are already into bitcoin and are already aware that it can be use to purchase goods and services. Otherwise, if I’ll take the risk accepting bitcoin, I may run out with fiat funds that will be use to roll my business.
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: October 26, 2022, 07:59:38 PM
Some very good coins out there have lost 95% of their value already is it possible to see more down fall? I'm throwing this to those that are present in last bear market, marketcap and volume is over millions of dollars and price is 95% down?  Shocked :I downfall still possible? For example Metahero.

Easily.  Most of these coins will literally stop trading and go to zero.  They were literally made to just make profits for people and aren't needed in the market.  People will just move on.  Big drops still incoming.
I guess no matter how good a coin is, it’s downfall will always be possible. Just like the Terra Luna scenario. Who would expect that this well developed coin will only end up being dead and undervalued, so everything is at risk and is very uncertain in this crypto market. Even in bitcoin too, it’s future is still uncertain but we know with proven achievements and from the trace of its history, bitcoin’s performance is exceptional and will never fail us in the end.
1073  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: October 26, 2022, 07:45:29 PM
What we all have mutual in thinking is about the halving by 2024. And then after that, we're going to see the shoot up for bitcoin's price just like the old times. This is a cycle that we have come to see the pattern and that's why we're eager to accumulate at these times.

Some may say that we'll still heading for the bottom and might likely see those low prices again, that's okay. But we're speculating that after the 2024 halving, we'll see that bitcoin is going to break its last ATH.

Maybe by that time, it's the $100k aim that we've been waiting for and it will be the next ATH price or even more than that.
Hopefully, bitcoin price after halving will even surpass our expectation, and that to see it $100k or beyond. So while bear market continues, then let’s grab this opportunity of buying bitcoin at a bargain price. After all, it’s not that bitcoin will be bearish the whole time, bullish trend will also develop and returns to the market when everything’s around positive. Patience is what we need the best this time.
1074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Advise to Forum members on PMs offers on: October 25, 2022, 09:44:31 PM
This is the first I have seen someone openly talk about this. I have never received any such pms about promotions or anything of the sort. Legit companies who want their advertising done on the forum know the service board is where they can find reputable bounty/campaign managers, some may choose to create their own forum account to manage the campaign themselves. If you’re getting the offers you say you’re, then you must be doing something right maybe in the gambling or casino threads.
Probably that’s the reason because even myself I used to receive emails and PMs but mostly from gambling. But when it comes to using my signature or whatsoever, I have never experienced that. But for everyone’s safety, do not go for PMs immediately since they can be some sort of fraud or scamming. Research or investigate first so you will never have to regret later on.
1075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a mistake shorting BTC at 17k on: October 25, 2022, 08:48:34 PM
It really seems BTC bottomed at 17.5k and stocks(SP 500) at 3480.

Now market is pumping like crazy, its obvious we won't go back to 18k or below.

We cannot tell yet if the bottom was touched, however, I also agree that betting on 17k was pretty much foolish (under 20k there seem to be much better chances upwards than downwards).
Yep, best would be to buy back, and although "market pumping like crazy" is not actually correct, not for Bitcoin, I feel like the opportunity window (for buying back cheap) may get very small.

However, please do your own thinking and do with your money as you decide, not by what I'm writing. I may be right, but I also may be wrong.
Right. Whatever you think is right, then do it. Do not just rely on others for your decision making, do your part searching for the right thing to do because at the end of the day, it’s you who will decide what’s best to take and disregard others.

For me, I would rather wait for another good price to buy back bitcoin when its price will drop again and reach another bottom. That way, I will never have to worry and think about my future losses.
1076  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: October 25, 2022, 05:57:39 AM

but the problem is that I still see that the teaching staff in schools today are not all literate with current technological advances. even the teachers in schools who use crypto I think there are still few. so it is not yet possible for those teachers in schools to teach about cryptocurrencies. but maybe the next generation of teachers, namely generation Z, so I think discussing crypto at school will make sense to be included in school lessons. because the next generation of teachers must be more than those who are familiar with crypto and have even entered it. so it's a matter of time.
Perhaps, they can learn over time as well. And if the time will come that crypto is pushed through to teach in school, I believe they have also hired someone capable enough to teach students. It is only hard at the start but once there is continued learning and research, and teachers look at the market in a positive way, it becomes easy for them to understand. I think it needs constant training, it can't be done in one day, not even in 1 week. So, it was their responsibility how to do it in order to become effective.
I guess even pros and experts in cryptocurrency do not know everything about it so there’s always a consistent training so that learning will always grow and improve. Just like most of the teachers, they are like  newbies to cryptocurrency but with continuous trainings and seminars conducted by school heads, these teachers will end up highly knowledgeable about cryptocurrency. And with crypto experiences too comes an effective way of learning which they can also successfully impart their first hand information to their students.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: October 24, 2022, 04:01:55 PM

Bottomline, no matter how powerful Avenesyan is, he is not on the level of Crawford and for me this is just "to keep busy" fight for Crawford while ironing things out for the Spence fight next year but nevertheless it is a cherry-picked opponent.

I believe its also a cherry-picked fight for an eventual meeting with Spence next year, Crawford has been out of the ring for a long time he needs some challenge to avoid ring rust, but I read that Spence is moving up because he's been in this weight for so many years, both fighters loss on this missed opportunity, there's been a lot of great fights this year against bitter rivals but unfortunately, both camps cannot agree to agree, it seems they don't want to fight maybe not this year.

Don't really know the real score and reason why their undisputed fight that is already dubbed as a fight of the decade didn't materialized but it seems to me that Spence's really ducking for this fight as he know that Crawford is really hard to crack. IMO, he is not that ready yet to face Bud and not ready to risk his belt, they might deny it but I'm not going to believe it as well as the people who waited their fight after all the hype. Anyway, this is good than nothing because Bud really need someone to fight to keep him fit for his upcoming fights. We may or may not see the undisputed fight, so there's no reason for us to wait.
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 24, 2022, 03:20:08 PM
Yes, I also saw that Bivol is the favorite against Ramirez and it's because of his huge upset win against Canelo. And I do agree that this is the biggest test for Ramirez, but he says that it is not? What gives? Is that overconfident on his part?

Not sure if I will tempted to bet on Ramirez, I have doubts that he can win against Bivol to be honest. Yes he has the physical advantage like height and reach, but I think Bivol is more superior and has the tools to beat Ramirez in a 12 round fight.

I'm not that surprised to know that Bivol is the favorite and not Ramirez, Bivol's name is really hyped these days because of his recent accomplishment as defeating Canelo Alvarez is not an easy thing to do but he did it anyway. Many boxers have dreamt to be in his situation but only Bivol made it and defeated the prime pound-for-pound king.

But we should be careful mate because we might get blinded of Bivol's name as I'm really seeing Ramirez as kind of boxing who is not giving up easily and his record can speak for that. Still, I think it is better to not underestimate this Ramirez though, he barks for sure but we ain't seeing his side yet.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 24, 2022, 02:38:15 PM

Former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson often stuns his fans with his out-of-the-blue one-liners. The veteran athlete was recently seen in a wheelchair in a frail condition. He was suffering from sciatica flare-up; a lower-back medical condition. Even though he recovered from his sickness, he went through a period where he had trouble walking and even used a walking stick to move around.
Mike Tyson might be suffering from the injury in the past, and might have caught up with him now that he's aging. Tyson is always training and engaging in tournaments inother to win titles and add to his collection. He did have better moment as champion, we know how he sustain crucial injury when he was still young as an ambitious fighter and he's fearless and ruthless in challenges. Mike is 56 years and seeing him in a wheelchair is totally devastating for a man like him, he's strong and he will definitely pass this terrific phase. The big question is, can he still get up strongly on his fit again?

Indeed Mike Tyson is so ambitious and made me remember one of his interviews where he was asked who will he want to fight in the history if he will be given a chance, guess what he answered? It's Achilles, the Greek Warrior who was the brain and hero of the Trojan war. That's how ambitious he is and I don't think of any fighter or boxer who is more fit to answer that question. Tyson in his era is really one of the greatest and I do think that nobody would argue with that. Now, I think it's time to hang up his dreams because he already done enough, it's time to think of his health first and to take that wheelchair out before anything else.
1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 24, 2022, 02:17:17 PM
Of course, Jokic is a very valuable player, and the Nuggets management is well aware of that. As you probably know, the Nuggets agreed and signed a 5-year contract extension with him early in the offseason. So the Nuggets have already kept him for a long time since his current contract will only expire after the 27-28th season. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Jokic plays for the Nuggets his entire career.
Yeah, Actually Jokic is the most valuable player for in NBA right now since he is good on both offense and defense while he is still young,  The only reason why Nuggets still don’t get the championship or even close on WCF is because Jokic has no solid team mate that can cover him while he is resting. Nuggets play is centered to Jokic which is the reason why they are always being beaten by strong teams on playoffs but Aaron Gordon is now improving well and probably he will be one of the key player on Nuggets to help Jokic.

It will be a loss for Nuggets if they let Jokic be traded since they are the one who develop this player since his rookie days.
I have to say this is going to get me hated, but I find Jokic to be a bit overrated. Yes dude has good stats that's for sure, but he is a slow center that doesn't really have that much skill at scoring if you ask me, he is using what he has right now but when he gets older, his passing will be the only thing left for him to do, his scoring will drop a whole ton, and his style is not going to age that well.

I feel like Embiid is better, because he has the strength and fighting spirit that Jokic doesn't have. Smart players are valuable and Jokic is smart, but he is not going to be great for too many years, just 2 more years and we will see a steep decline for him if you ask me.

Don't worry mate because I'm also seeing the same thing, Jokic is indeed a bit overrated and I'm more inclined with Embiid because the latter have something more to give to the team and not just a literal role of center, also, Embiid can carry the team unlike Jokic that needs his teammate to bring the team to a win. Watching Jokic play is like seeing a slowed replay, I don't know why Grin
