761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: March 13, 2023, 08:15:40 PM
In any case, the winner of this will fight the winner of Tank vs King Ry, correct?
In my opinion, there's no negotiation yet. If Garcia wins, we'll most likely see a rematch, but if Davis wins, we'll have to wait for a challenger or champion who wants a unification fight. However, let's focus on this event first since Davis vs. Garcia is such a huge fight. It will surely be a sell-out crowd.

The next months will be good for boxing fans. April 22 Tank vs. King Ry, May 7 Inoue vs. Fulton and May 20 Haney vs. Lomanchenko hehehe.
Inoue vs. Fulton is a good fight, but it's not as popular as Davis vs. Garcia since the latter fight will be held in the US.

It is reported that Garcia and Davis ticket is already sold out, so that is big news for both camps.

And now that the odds are out and Haney is the favorite in this fight, maybe being the underdog will motivate Loma more because it will be such a disrespect for him to see the odds at 2.7x for him as compare to Haney at 1.4x. I thought it is going to be close, but sport bookies might have look at Loma's past performance and his age for that huge underdog odds.

That is expected because Loma just got back from his inactivity and his recent fight was not that great considering that Loma could've dealt with that fight easily but no, Ortiz managed to give Loma some struggles. He shouldn't be affected by these odds because it doesn't mean that he got less chance on defeating the current undisputed, Devin Haney. It's just a figure for the bettors and not entirely about him.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 13, 2023, 07:13:18 PM
Lakers had a mini comeback, but they made a wrong execution in the end. It was heartbreaking as they were unable to complete it, and the Knicks won the game, splitting the two games at the Lakers' home court.

They wasted a lot of time in the dying seconds and failed to foul right away, which resulted in their inability to execute a good game plan. It was a bad play, and they seemed to be experiencing a mental breakdown.

Yes, they made it down to 2 points, but they allow the Knicks to score as they foul Josh Hart, and then make those 2 FT. I think it's just bad play in the 4th quarter as they look for more isolation play.

But good experience for them at least with this kind of lost, it's a winnable one, but they really need to really focus specially when they make the comeback in the 3rd quarter. But lost concentration in the 4th and it's kind late when they have to do the catch up again in the last 4 minutes of the game.

It's normal to foul in that situation, but what's not normal is taking too much time before fouling Josh Hart. It's just unfortunate that he didn't miss the free throw, and even if the Lakers made the 3-point shot, time was not in their favor. Maybe they'll reflect on what happened, as they came back but wasted the opportunity to have a chance to win in the end.

They should talk and analyze what lapses they've made and try not to repeat that same mistake, almost a good rally but in that last dying minutes they've failed to have good decision making.

Still no LeBron and they are doing or playing with good chemistries, the winning chance is good for the Lakers
it's just a learnable mistake that they can work out and adjust to their future games.

They just don't know how to reverse the odds in their favor by having the technicalities of the fight on their side, if only LeBron was there playing, I'm quite sure that he can make it in time so that they can have enough time to make another rally and potentially, defeat the tired Knicks. Now, I'm not a LeBron fan but I can somehow assure that situations like that can somehow be prevented because they now got a good defensive team and as an offensive team as well. Now, the bad side is, LeBron is not that familiar with the newly acquired players and it would take some of their precious times just to get them in synch as I'm sure their gameplay won't be the same if their main man will return.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: March 13, 2023, 02:29:00 AM
Yeah, but he has his "excuses", he had his shoulder injury that time.

And we didn't see a rematch with a healthy Loma because Lopez refuses to give him that. Maybe he was afraid or just like take that win regardless if Loma says he has to carry that right with injury.

So so this is the closest that Loma will get to the point of getting all the belts, but it's not going to be easy as he is fighting a prime Haney.

I think that's a legit excuse for that loss but Loma never complained about that injury before the fight, might also be the reason why Lopez was afraid of giving him the rematch as he doesn't dominate Loma even if the latter had that injury.

I think this fight will cement the legacy of Loma as one of the best in the lightweight division, if he could win this one then i think he could retire like he promised two years ago but if ever he will loss then that's the end of him, i mean he just not meant to be the king of this division, he can't carry his speed and power in this 135lb division to beat the champs who are bigger than him.
It was just too unfortunate for Lomachenko that time because he was at the height of his career, just one bad shoulder and that resulted to a failure in his campaign towards beating Teofimo Lopez. If only Bob Arum and Loma had a rematch clause, they could've redeem their loss and the belts as well because Lopez will be forced to accept a 2nd fight. Then maybe Loma will have a different situation right now.

764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 11, 2023, 08:43:11 PM
I hope Ryan Garcia is really that confident because if it turns out that he is not that ready, he will be heavily criticized by a lot of people for calling Tank Davis to fight him when in-fact he doesn't have what it takes. He needed to prove it and he needed this fight to bring himself in a much higher seed. Forget about the doubters, that is normal because Tank has been on the game first and already proved what he can do.

Ryan Garcia has been calling out everybody hehe, it's just that only Tank Davis has responded. This fight is an acid test for him and if ever he will be knocked out by Tank Davis then he is a fluke, i mean that he doesn't have what it takes to be in the league with the big boys in this division.

In the press conference yesterday, size advantage was very visible for Ryan in the face-off but he has to walk the talk and hope he could utilize his size to his advantage. Some people were saying that Ryan was visibly scared during their first press conference but i don't think so, i think Ryan was just nervous as this is his first time being on a stage with a legit champion for a very big event soon.

Probably because Tank Davis was also interested getting a big payday out of Ryan Garcia because he is not yet getting a shot to have a regular belt as Devin Haney already have opponents queued to him as long as he will win against Lomachenko. The latter called this fight and he is expected to do what he is talking because if he cannot, it's much better for him to be silent because he cannot prove anything except having a tune-up fight.

While for Tank Davis, we can see that he is not backing down with this challenge even if Ryan Garcia got the size advantage. It's not that this is Tank's first fight with boxer who is much taller than him. IQ and experience is much more important.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 11, 2023, 07:18:02 PM
What's more, if LeBron comes back, they will definitely be a playoff-ready team.

We are expecting that to happen because they are missing their best players, yet they continue to win. The good thing with the Lakers in betting is that they are underrated, so you'll get great odds betting on them. The next game will be against the New York Knicks, which is a tough challenge, but they are playing at home, so I believe they can still win.

By the way, the Lakers are now in the top 9 with a 7-3 record in their last 10 games and are on a 3-game winning streak.

And could replace the teams in the upper bracket as far as the 6th because their gap is not that wide, a lose and a win will definitely change their position in the West. It will be a hard game for them because the Knicks are also a tough team which got more pretty records at road compared when they are playing in their homecourt but let's see because later they will face the Clippers which is also looking for a win and then the Lakers next, so the Lakers might got a good advantage because they got some fresh feet compared to the Knicks who are already tired for the consecutive road games.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 11, 2023, 03:07:06 AM
Did watch the Warriors-Grizzlies game except for the final minutes of the game. Grizzlies won by 21 points.
I'm kind of disappointing not only because of how awful the defense of the Warriors are, but how they can't take the lead after having huge runs. Grizzlies got a 20 point lead at the 1st quarter then the Warriors made a run to put the deficit to single digits in the 2nd quarter. After than, Grizzlies will make another run again putting the lead to double digits, and then Warriors will come back again with their own. They didn't even took the lead the whole game I think.

Warriors had too many turnovers and simple mistakes in first half. Grizzlies made a lot of 3's and controlled the lead. Even without Morant, Grizzlies is a stacked team. Tyus Jones is playing like they don't need Morant at all. With Brooks, Jackson and Bane they are a complete team. They probably hold on to second or third place in the West. After the loss of Durant I believe Suns can't catch them.
And probably it was a revenge time for the Memphis Grizzlies last night. They were treated with disrespect when they were beaten by the Warriors at home and there were some words after that.

So I believed that they really pushed themselves against the defending champ here.

Yes, with KD out, Grizzlies could be safe in 3rd place and make the playoffs for this year. But it's better if they will have Morant, but there's not time table for his return.
Yes, it is quite personal for the Grizzlies because their last match-up was not that good and they got embarrassed as well. And we have Dillon Brooks and Draymond Green's issue that is so evident in the game, I think Brooks was fined because he took their issues to the next level and texted Draymond Green with some harsh words.
I'm still trying to find where I can see that because that specific text that I was talking about was showed live in the Warriors @ Grizzlies game.

For Ja Morant, he is not expected to play in the next four games because the NBA is not yet done with their investigation but even if the NBA can't find any evidence just like the police in Denver, I think Ja Morant will still take his time to get some help before he returns to his team. And that could mean that the Grizzlies are still Morant-less in the playoffs but we never know though, their might be a sudden turn of events.
767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin- Beginners fear for exploration on: March 10, 2023, 07:26:33 PM
I have a friend who speaks so much about how good he's life has become ever since he explored the world of BTC and other crypto currency. I also have the desire to get the benefits of Bitcoin and other crypto currency. but as a newbie, I still have this fear that I may not be able to withstand the risk involved. Can anyone advice me on this?
Risk isnt an easy conquest and a lot of fears actually. Maybe many people says that crypto is one way to do a good fortune and escape from financial problems. But it can also be your worse nightmare. Some people or lets say many have loss their hard earn money believing their life would change but instead got broke. Its a million times learning in crypto so if you dont do your job of studying it carefullu then its gonna be a mess around.
True. You will never be successful in your investment and you will never withstand the risk if you stay uneducated over your planned investment. Bitcoin is a risky one, so the more that you will study on it thoroughly and understand its concept well so you can expect positive outcome later on. Remember that no risk, no gain. And if you are willing to take the risk, then make sure you are prepared for it.
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 10, 2023, 07:00:41 PM
Trying to convince someone to buy Bitcoin is just like trying to force someone, of which if anything happens to go wrong you are likely to be held responsible, because Bitcoin as an asset is not what you try to convince people to buy, but rather educate people about this new digital decentralized currency, as it has got its merit and demerits. I.e, how it works, how to store it and the most secure place to buy it without being scam for whoever happens to be interested in it.

So I can't convince anyone to buy Bitcoin, but I will be fully glad to assist anyone to the very best of my ability
The reason why I don’t really convince other people to invest in bitcoin knowing they will eventually put the blame on me once their investments did not work out in the end. I’m open for teaching them if they want to learn and be educated, but convincing them to take the risk and enter bitcoin investment, that’s another story. Even my mother and father are aware that I am into bitcoin, but it never crossed my mind to convince them because I know they won’t also take the risk.
769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: March 10, 2023, 01:01:37 PM
Trading addiction has many advantages as well as many disadvantages, so without becoming too addicted, you need to research the market well and gain experience. Avoiding recency bias in trading starts with knowledge, with education you first understand that it is only human nature to be overly impressed by the results of your latest operation. Constantly check the value of coins more addiction leads to worse chance of gain is less it makes more physically and mentally debilitating.
I don't really know if any of us are addicted to trading, but for now I am totally addicted to long term investing in bitcoin. I don't have to deal with this the way they deal with gambling addiction, and it's clear to me that investing addiction is something that is even more profiting in the future.

I have habit of checking price more than 3 times in one day when I really think that day trading is more profitable than long term investing. But once I realized that, I didn't have to and tended to ignore the fluctuations and continue to hold on optimistically. Right now nothing is more profitable for me than a long term investment so this is a focus I will strive for.
Well, if you think you excel more in long term investing rather than trading, then there’s no chances that you will get trading addiction, which I am also doing the same thing since trading is quite tough this time. However, I know some friends of mine who are really very fanatic about trading especially when bitcoin was at its peak but now that the market is quite bearish, I haven’t heard from them making significant profits in trading. Which comes to my senses that trading addiction can be totally controlled depending on the market condition. Of course, you won’t decide to trade in the first place if you see there is no positive profits waiting for you.
770  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: March 10, 2023, 11:02:22 AM
It depends on each one experience... For me, only COVID years were suck, and the rest is fine because I'm doing rather well (thank God).
The key here is your income level, the higher, the more it has resistance to bad economic conditions. We can't control the economy, but we can somewhat control our income. Look for better jobs or do multiple jobs (side hustling), if you are on the correct track, your well-being will always be better even if the economy is bad.
I have to say those covid years were the start of these non-controllable high priced commodities. Before that everything seems okay. But seeing at the present economy, only rich people will be able to live a comfortable life, while those average and poor class will keep on struggling to budget their finances so that they can still eat three times a day despite of the high prices of foods. If we keep on relying on the assistance from the government,  I can’t help but anticipate that a lot would end up starving to death. That is why if we can take advantage on the different opportunities around and work on them as our side hustles, we will never be threaten anymore if ever the economy gets even worser.
771  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 10, 2023, 09:30:09 AM
You are welcome to drop any tip or speculation you want. I have seen people before who wanted to brag about their experience and alleged accuracy when came to bets, you on the other hand, advice us all to stick with you with a little amounts. So I personally appreciate your modesty.

Now, about whether or not a "bet is not a waste", one could argue that a smart bettor can learn from failure to sharp their intuition for the future and take note on statistics, however, nobody wants to lose a bet.  Wink

If more people wishing to give tips continue to appear, we will have to keep a thread specifically for it in the future, btw.

Everyone is free to post as long as forum members can benefit from it. But since it’s gambling, bettors should be more responsible to decide whether it can be good for them or not, but as long as you only bet on the amount you can afford to lose, I guess there’s no harm actually if we also try it out.

When it comes to “bet is not a waste”, I guess it depends on individual’s bet. If you based your bet from your own good analysis, then literally your bet comes with value, so you need to really pursue on your bet. But if you only hear or seen it from other people, and you can see that it’s far from your prediction, then definitely you may consider it a waste bet. It actually depends on individual’s preferences I think.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 09, 2023, 09:30:00 PM
trust me mate , you will regret that all your life as once I did this because of some personal matter that needs to be funded and that is totally against my will but have no choice back then.

90% of the time, this happens to me. I never want to sell the bitcoins, but the circumstances have become such that I will be bound to sell them at such a low price. I only sold the coins when I was in need of hard cash for some quick or urgent work. But I also make sure that, if I have some extra money left, I buy the bitcoins with it, irrespective of the current price of bitcoin. To be honest, it really feels bad when I have to sell the coins at such a low price, but at that time, I didn’t have other options either.
That is certainly the most scenario we have to face, force to sell our coins because we have no other choices left. Yes, it’s always a bad feeling while doing that but if you will also be reminded why are you doing that, you might also feel some relief. We save bitcoin so we can have something to use in the future, and for some instances, that future might be now as selling could only resolve the current problem situation.
773  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: March 09, 2023, 08:39:31 PM
Since strategy are always changing in trading, what is the relevance of experience? Who would you trust the most for trading tips,
An old trader who has had better days and mostly still relevant because they have a strong reputation for the fact that he has been trading for a while, or would you trust a new trader who is hot in the market and fresh with new strategies?
Trading will be quite easier to learn if we can have someone who will guide us on how to be a successful trader in the market, and it will only be possible if we will be guided by those expert traders in the market, those that have endure a lot of trading experiences regardless if they are profitable or not. But it does not mean that we will rely on them all the time. Once we are good enough, then we can already trust no one on making market analysis since we should develop skills on it on our own. Trading is a process, that’s why we have to start from being less knowledgeable until we find ourselves almost know everything about trading, until we finally see ourselves being successful and profitable in trading without trusting anyone else to do trading for us.
774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 08, 2023, 09:59:45 PM
I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not because I have a kid friend of about 14years and very eager to learn trading but am scared of the lost and how long it will take him to understand what his doing, because it hasn't been very easy for me. So what your opinion please I need help? because I think is too risky for them to go in to trade for now.
It would not be illegal but it would be very risky for kids to trade especially that they are not mature enough to realize the risks in trading. And the fact that they still rely for money from their parents, then they can’t afford to lose from trading because that will leave them empty and would mean no allowance for their studies. However, do not deprive him to learn about trading, who knows he will be an effective trader someday. For now, let him learn first about trading and accumulate more knowledge and skills that will make him a good trader in the future.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 07, 2023, 04:51:26 PM
^ Yeah, it's going to be full of *bleep* and *bleep* in this press conference. Both are huge trash talkers and we know that when to fighters like to bad mouth against each other, it's hard to stop.

Did the venue though has been announced yet?

I now they are targeting Las Vegas for this fight and there are 2 venues vying for that slot and I might have missed the official place of this fight, just saying.

Yes, that is expected mate but that will be fun to see because this fight is a bit personal for them both. They've been dancing back and forth on the internet for some years now and fortunately, it's happening and will take place in April 22 at Las Vegas, Nevada.

The venue is still TBA, I'm thinking that organizers will first feel the people's response towards their tickets on the first few days of selling it so that they could tell which place is more suitable to cater a large crowd. After that, the place will be finalized and as well as the PPV price.
We'll see if they will actually dare to trash-talk face-to-face. Cheesy Maybe they can bark at each other online but can't do it face-to-face. Cheesy And it'll be fun to see how the other top fighters that are also throwing bombs at each other like Haney, Shakur, and Lopez. These Top Rank guys will probably laugh at this PPV event but with no real belts on the line. I really hope that the winner of this fight will go ahead and face real competition and not go back to the usual cherry-picking of opponents.

Baofeng mentioned before the 70k capacity Allegiant Stadium and the arenas of T-Mobile and MGM Grand. And as I mentioned earlier, I really doubt a stadium will be used in this fight. Boxing promoters in the US will most likely stick to boxing-proven venues like the MGM and T-Mobile, especially in a Vegas fight. Tickets will be more expensive of course compared to making this event in a stadium.

We will likely know that soon in their press conference, I bet they will start throwing words with each other and to add-up some spice, those trash talks might be under the belt because besides from marketing the fight, the rivalry between those two is no doubt real. But going after a champion? Their most probable chance is if Haney will have a mandatory fight as the winner of this fight will surely got the slot. But as of now, he is not yet due to have a mandatory fight.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 07, 2023, 03:03:27 PM
And as Fulton said,

Quote
"I feel like I have the style to beat anyone -- I can adjust and do whatever to beat anybody."

https://www.boxingscene.com/fulton-on-inoue-i-feel-like-i-style-beat-anyone--172923

So let's see how far Fulton can go against Inoue, he struggles against a volume punching in Figueroa, then he level it up facing the Monster, this time, it's not how many punches Inoue will throw, it's going to be the accuracy and the power behind, be in a jab or right overhand.
Well, I like the confidence of Fulton, nothing is impossible indeed if he can adjust and come up to an effective strategy to beat Inoue. But it's a fact that this time he might face his first loss knowing how good the monster is.

Majority of us are already expecting Inoue to beat Fulton then he can level up to division once again. I think this one is an easy fight for him and it's an advantage on his side that the fight will be held on his home town.

Let's just refrain from getting so ahead, we already know that Inoue is a strong boxer who got so much power in his punches and unbeatable because there's nobody at 118 that can match his current form but at 122, he is yet to make a name and that's not yet guaranteed as we should not forget that he is going to face the 2-belt champion, Stephen Fulton who is also giving punishments to the boxers he is facing in the past. What I'm saying is, even if this fight is going to happen at Japan, both sides got the same pressure because for Inoue, it will be a big embarrassment for him if he will get defeated in-front of his people and for Fulton, the pressure is also there because he is the champion yet he's visiting the country of the challenger.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Build your Own Casino(online/offline) If You Know You Can? on: March 07, 2023, 01:28:47 PM
So this evening, I was thinking within myself, Businesses I could start if I made good money, I mean money large enough that I could start any business comfortably(no matter the cost) without going through any financial crises before, during or after starting the business.

So one of the ideas of businesses to start that came to my mind was a gambling casino, online casino preferably for me, so as part of my research, I thought I should put this question out here to you guys …

If you made a billion dollars or even more, as someone who love gambling/betting and have been doing this on several other casinos for many years now, would you rather start your own casino?
Or would you prefer to keep gambling, doing your sports betting on other casinos even when you know you have more than enough money to start your own casinos and make the casino as big as you want it to be??

Inputs are greatly appreciated.

You should know that aside from needing at least a billion dollar to fund that kind of business, there's a lot more factors that you need to know, understand and to consider before starting a business. It's sure easier to talk and think about it as long as you got the right funds to start it, and I don't blame you for that but in reality, money is just your first problem to solve and after that, there will be a lot more.

You sure don't want to hire someone just to make your business moving as that is not profitable at all, you yourself needed to man it in-order to have a total control of it. Owning is simple mate, but running it is where the challenge starts.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 07, 2023, 12:48:57 PM
But with Kevin Durant's presence, the team's chances got a boost as well as their confidence and you can see it in their face that they are not that scared anymore to take a risky shot because they know that they still got a lot of chance.

We will see it then once the playoffs commence. Knowing Kevin Durant, and his heavy playoff experienced, never seen him choking or doing some sudden change in his performance when playoffs time even losing. If he can affect the whole Phoenix Suns' intensity of play once playoffs come, the team would be deadly.

Who knows Durant is the only answer for Chris Paul not turning into useless shit during playoffs after giving his always best during the season.

Although I'm not rooting for the Suns to win the chip this season, I want to see Chris Paul experience holding the NBA Championship trophy in his career.

It's safe to assume that Kevin Durant will affect the performance of the whole Suns squad, I mean we already saw what he had done since he played with them for the first time and up until now. Booker got back to his old self as it's like Durant influenced him to be a better player like what he is and then CP3 got more options whom to pass because they now have more reliable shooter on the ground unlike in the past where also have to do some offense just to keep the team afloat.

Quote
Although I'm not rooting for the Suns to win the chip this season, I want to see Chris Paul experience holding the NBA Championship trophy in his career.
I guess that means the same thing, this season is their nearest chance to have the team another chip especially CP3 who never had a single ring in his entire career. Who knows what would happen if they would wait for the next season.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: March 05, 2023, 08:41:51 PM
Based on the recent past with Benavidez and the wins by Plant, I don't think it will be an easy win fight for Benavidez and he could also lose to Plant following he used cocaine in his fights before which is against the rule. I'd place a bet on Caleb Plant as he signed this contract and came ahead to fight out, and I believe that passion pays off so if Benavidez loses to Plant, it'll prove that he used to win his matches due to his drug addiction.

I agree though, but I don't now what is in the system of David right now as he has been bursting with confidence him and his father are really getting into Caleb and they wanted to win a knockout.

And David said that he wanted to go as high as cruiserweight division,

Quote
“So right now, I definitely want to go up to 175,” said Benavidez to Fight Hub TV during a recent interview. “I know I can win the belt at 175.”

I think it’s definitely very possible but right now, my sights are on 68. I want to be unified world champion at 68, go up to 75 and I think it definitely could be a possibility, cruiserweight.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/david-benavidez-rule-out-future-cruiserweight-run--172841

But it will already be difficult to fight at 75 with Beterbiev and Bivol, he has history with Bivol though as they used to be sparring partners in the past. But let's see first if he can deliver what he has been saying in this fight against Caleb Plant.

Hmm, he might be asking too much here, as the expression goes, "biting more than you can chew". He should stay first at 168 lbs and see how his career with go here, it could be his perfect weight, his height and age are good for this class.

If he goes to 175 lbs, not only those two Russians, but maybe those rank boxers could be different to beat as it is their natural weight.

So what's more if he is targeting CW, I think this is due to Jack Badou winning against Makabu that this super middleweight thinks they can jump as high as CW, in my opinion.

We can't really stop him if he sees himself at 175 or as high as 200 but he should know that not everything is attainable even if you're someone that talented is talented enough, no matter what he do, David Benavidez is still a human being with limits. He should explore this current division first and it is just too early for him to say that things because he haven't proved himself yet and become a champion.

Yes we can't stop him, many boxers as well in the past have that ambition to move up in weight and claim the belt. But only few and very gifted athletes have done that in the past, Floyd, Manny, Oscar Dela Hoya to name a few.

Oscar though tasted defeated when he tries to go as high as middleweight and fight his now GBP partner in Bernard Hopkins and get knock out in a body punch. So lets see how far David can go in his career.

But who knows how far can David go, right? As per boxrec.com, David's official height is 6'2 which is much taller than Dmitry Bivol, one of the two champion at LHW.

So I'm thinking that he might successfully campaign at 175 or even 200 if he would like because his height will somehow make a difference given that he's also a talent boxer who also got a good KO rate. But just like what @mirakal said, he should first do a clean-up job at 168 to see if he can really make a difference in a much heavier division. Besides, not all boxers can bring their strengths when climbing different weight class.
780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 05, 2023, 06:50:25 PM
That's right, Inoue is not your ordinary boxer who's is easy to predict and evident to see his limits. Currently, there's no boxer that managed to unlock Inoue's weakness and Donaire was the only boxer who actually gave him a good toe-to-toe fight but even that fight wasn't enough to show his weakness and up until now, it's still a mystery and it will be an expensive move by any boxer just to know what is it.

For weakness of Inoue to unfold, he just needs to fight a better boxer than he is.  He may be dominated the bantamweight division, but I do not think that he will do the same in the super bantamweight.  Super Bantamweight is a different division and there are several known boxers that can possibly defeat Inoue in this division.  The boxer in this division have heavier punches and more resistance to blows or punches, and since Inoue is taking a shortcut, he probably doesn't know the extent of the punching power of this division.

We are going to find out after this fight. Inoue is heavily favored here because he is a hyped boxer, so let's see if our expectations will be met by Inoue. He is a KO artist, and fighters like that usually gain attention from the public since they are entertaining boxers. So in this fight, everyone is still expecting that Inoue will win via KO.

Yes, there's no doubt that Inoue will be favored to be the favorite whether by people or by bookies because he is making some noise in the industry. People might not know him before because his name started to scatter when he first defeat the Filipino Flash, Nonito Donaire on their first encounter and then the rest is already a history. Now, he is on a different division looking forward to mark the division again. It will be interesting to see how will he perform this time as this is his debut.
