281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEX ruins the true value of Bitcoin on: April 05, 2022, 06:39:47 PM
True DEXs, like BISQ, are open source projects licensed under a GPL-like license that makes the project "owned" by the community. If a lead developer leaves, another from the community can take his/her place, like Bitcoin when Satoshi left, or Linux if Linus Torvalds leaves.
Problems with Bisq is their low trading volume. So it reveals the fact that not much people actually care about privacy, anonymity and truly DEX. If they care about that, they will use true DEX like Bisq more and will contribute to make trading volume on it much higher.

I disagree with the OP on the opinion. Bitcoin is for everyone and there are many use cases for it, on DEX, on CEX, on Peer-to-Peer marketplace, gambling sites, etc. Nothing destroys the true value of Bitcoin. Together, they contribute to bring Bitcoin to the world, to result in better adoption. It's more good than harm.

Yeah, DEXES are not fully developed yet and people are comfortable trading on centralized exchanges. However, the there is no difference in true value of  bitcoin if dexes were more common.
I don't think that anyone does not buy or trade bitcoin only because trading platforms are centralized.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams now the second largest in the world on: April 05, 2022, 06:14:47 PM
Unfortunately, the fact that if you get scammed, there is a big chance that you will never see that money back again,

Even, the scams which are outside of crypto, you will not be able to get your money back either.

cryptocurrency market scam cases are reducing every year, i don't know about this research but what i see is a very significant reduction every year, in 2016 to 2019 people easily fall for scam ICO projects, then also easily people invested in scam altcoins and used scam exchanges, but today people are more selective in projects and exchanges because there is already a lot of information that they cannot use exchange scam and that they should be careful with scam projects

Statistics says just the opposite, number of scams is multiplying year by year. And it has sense as crypto market is still growing significantly: you can think that comparatively there are less frauds but in absolute terms there are much more different scam projects including different local projects which are not so known outside of local communities. Moreover scammers still think that they will not be punished for crypto frauds and suppose it would be safe for them (it is far from truth but their confidence makes them scam harder).

Actually crypto is still in its early stages and scammers are easily able to fool the newbies in this field. People jump into crypto without much knowledge and scammers used this to their advantage. Also crypto is decentralized and not regulated, both of these things are exploited by the scammers.

283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 05, 2022, 04:47:38 PM

I will say Australia did not play that badly in ODI. The last match might look really bad but in the other two, they did quite well.
But they will surely be seeking some revenge.

The problem is in the T20 format I think Pakistan is a team that can complete with Australia at the same level if not higher. And yes Australia needs to get the wicket of Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan. If these two can play long innings it will be hard for Australia, especially in away conditions.

Australia came back strongly after a strong opening stand between Rizwan and Babar. Green got two wickets on two balls and that shifted the match in favor of Australia. Babar is still in the crease. It seems like Pakistan will finish somewhere around 160. But the question is 160 enough on this track?

I think this match is evenly balanced at the moment or i can say Australia has an upper hand now as they have taken some quick wickets after the 67 runs partnership between Rizwan and baber. Any score less than 180 will not be enough on this wicket. A lot depends on how pakistan lower middle order finishes the game. Also, pakistan will have to take early wickets if they want to win this T20 against the strong Australian team.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 04, 2022, 11:58:22 PM

I don’t think that it’s fair to assume things like these as there’s zero evidence that can prove black money is involved during IPL games. Furthermore all IPL player’s, officials are under constant scrutiny and if anyone was involved then they would have been exposed by now, therefore till credible evidence pops up I feel that we should not spread rumours about IPL unless they can be proved.

You are right we can't say about match fixing until its proven. There is no one who speaks against IPL not even the icc since everyone gets his fair share. The ROI will be low if you rely only on legitimate sources like sponsorship, TV rights etc. Big parties need big return on there investment and this comes only with some fixing.
I want to bet on Pk and Aussie match, I think Pakistan will win the match today and I also believe that match is a fix.
I don't know why Pakistani give their best at the end why we have to wait till last over to see when the team Pakistan is going to come back.

What made you think that the last ODI between Pakistan and Australia was fixed? Do you have any proof? I see other people also writing that IPL matches are fixed too.
What has happened to you, the cricket community here?  You people do not have any proof and are self claiming that matches are being fixed.
Strange isn't?
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagine a world without Bitcoin on: April 04, 2022, 11:44:46 PM
• The world would pretty much be the same with or without Bitcoin, the affected would be the minority who are into Bitcoin and to those it would be a huge void as we have gotten used to having a reliable alternative from centralized Fiat.

• To the minority who use Bitcoin for it's qualities, yes.

There are many people in the world who do not use bitcoins. They have no knowledge of bitcoins. For those huge populations, digital money is still plastic cards (Credit/ debit cards). If there were no bitcoin, nothing would have changed, rather the governments and the banks would have been relieved to see that no currency exists for the people over which people have control. I still think governments wants a bitcoin free economic system.  Wink
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: April 04, 2022, 11:31:48 PM
It depends from person to person differently buying bitcoin is more easier then mining bitcoin because for mining you should have a set up and all the things that required for btc mining, on other hand buying is very easy, on exchanges you need to put miney and buy btc as much as you want. May be mining set up cost will vert high for coin that you are going to mine.
You are right, buying Bitcoin is better than mining because it will stress the miners due to the facilities which are involved to actualize it, some one who have the capital to buy bitcoins i will advice the person to buy instead of mining because i know that mining of Bitcoin requires many things, like electricity
Here's the main things need to consider first.

1. Electricity cost
2. Regulation of the country on where you made that mining activity
3. Maintenance
4. Technical knowledge about mining
5. Longer ROI
6. High amount or Big investment

If you could able to handle or bare these things then go ahead but if you dont like or simply saving up yourself with the hassle
then better buy bitcoin.

You need to see the above factors and if the ROI is good one , then one can opt for mining. It's not that hard to understand the Mining setup and knowledge can be gained online easily. If you need to earn via mining, you have to spend time on learning too. If the electricity cost is low in your country, you can go for mining.
Just make sure that mining bitcoin is legal in your country otherwise you could end up in trouble by the law or police enforcement agencies.

Congratulation Australia Women for ICC ODI Women world Cup champion this season. They played very well this ODI world cup.I think they deserved it also.Bad luck for England women, they lost by 71 run.Australian openar Healy who scored 170(138) ball.England didn’t chess it Because 350+ run huge total in.
Hands down to All those who predicted that Australia team is going win the Women World Cup - Congratulation to them as well. But Australia was unbeatable throughout the tournament. Congrats to team once again!

Did anyone make the bet on an Australian world cup win and actually win some good money? Usually, bets on men's cricket are more popular and I haven't known anyone who bet on women's matches.

Pakistani women team failed miserably in this tournament while India still fight and was in the run to qualify for semis. I think Pakistan should either stop sending his team for woken tournament or give proper attention for development of there wome squad. Sending such team will only be a matter of humiliation.

Someone has to come last in the tournament. If they don't send the weak team in the big tournament, they will never gain experience. Pakistan and other weak teams should learn from their mistake and try to improve themselves.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why more women to trade crypto? on: April 03, 2022, 11:50:34 PM
I don't think that statement holds any strength. Their app is available to all no matter who uses it. Women have been trading in stocks and cryptos for quite some time. Trading is gender neutral and no one enables or disables a particular gender from trading

I was also wondering how can we say that more women should do trading when we have no data to back the numbers. Do we have any data which can tell us how much percentage of traders are women or how many are men?

The centralized trading platform like binance (who have the KYC data) will never share these numbers while decentralized trading DEXes do not collect this information of gender.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a medium for donations on: April 03, 2022, 11:28:59 PM
In our opinion.currently the media is very influential in all aspects of whatever it all depends on bitcoin users to make donations in the form of media, especially at this time the media is very influential in a reality on social media, with so many media users of course this will be a step that it is very good for bitcoin if you want to make a donation in this way so that it can indirectly have a good effect on the sustainability of bitcoin in the long term, with this at least it can increase public trust in the crypto world today

Another reason why bitcoin is a popular medium for donation is that you can collect donations worldwide through bitcoins. Anyone anywhere in the world can easily donate money in bitcoin without any hassle. We have seen recently how conveniently Ukraine collected donations in bitcoins and crypto which otherwise was not possible. Anonymity can be another reason but for me, it is the ease in transactions in bitcoins which encourages people to donate in bitcoin.

Australia Women vs England Women

Batting first in the Women's World Cup final, Australia set a huge target of 356 runs. I have rarely seen such a great inning like this. Australia deserves the World Cup title. They have played great in every match. England's total of 118 runs in 19 overs, they lost 3 wickets. It is unthinkable that England will be able to win after the target of 356 runs. If the target was 300, the match would have been competitive and England would have tried to win. But now the match has become completely one-sided.

Australia has given 357 runs target in the final of the women's world cup. I don't think England can ever make this total while chasing in a WC final. The good thing about England's chase is that they have not given up and scored 162/4. They still need around 200 runs in 25 overs which seems to be an impossible task. England made a good comeback to play the final while Australians are the unbeaten champions.

Did Theymos expect us to be editing our posts all day?
Well, put it this way any third party script monitoring edited posts is going to be rather congested today.

Not everyone knows that by editing a post, gives you another question and you can keep on editing the same post to solve more questions.
Many people infact should be posting more today in order to increase their IQ.

Anyone can compare today's total posts with yesterday's total posts. This data will be interesting indeed.

What do you think of the women's world cup Sunday final, who will win the final?  Although Australia looks strong usually a team like England who struggled initially in the tournament has more chances of lifting the cup.

Even though i agree that England started this tournament badly as they had to win their last few matches consecutively to reach the semi finals, which they did and also win the semi finals but now they have to face the most important final match with the best team of the tournament. You can argue that the unbeaten Australian women's team will have one bad day in the tournament and that day could be the final but this is not necessary. They can beat England, lift the cup and remain unbeaten in the tournament.

This match is heart breaking for India team and supporters. That no ball in crucial time changed the entire situation. Well done to South Africa on a thrilling win. A breathtaking triumph for South Africa on the last ball, this implies devastated as well as satisfaction. South Africa's outcome affirmed West Indies place in the World Cup semi-finals. West Indies express profound gratitude to Indian women. There is a decent opportunity Australia will win this cup.
Another defeat for Indian Woman and now their World Cup dreams are over. The final over was really interesting and the no ball in the last over was crucial and turned the tides around. Full credits to South African woman for a wonderful chase, even when they were loosing wickets Mignon du Preez stood at one end to make sure she will be there till the end and a fully deserved victory and a lucky inclusion for West Indies woman in the semis .

It was quite an easy match for the South Africa women's team against India and they won comfortably by 8 wickets. In my opinion, India should have put a lot more runs on the board to defend against a team like South Africa. India it was just not enough runs on the board and South Africa had an easy match. It will be really interesting to see an Australia versus South Africa final in my opinion.

I would call India unlucky not to qualify for the semi finals as they started the tournament with good performances. However, later they lose their momentum. On the other hand, England women's team started the tournament with losses in their initial matches but they bounced back well in the later matches and finally qualified for the semi finals.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investor Psychology on: March 28, 2022, 08:59:09 AM
People may have many reasons why they fail to meet up with the opportunity whenever bitcoin price falls low. The following reasons maybe because of fear of buying  bitcoin when the price seems low because of the news they get about bitcoin,  how people bring fake news as bitcoin is coming down it may likely crash . News like this draws new investors attentions back.
Also, for some when the price of bitcoin falls low they not be ready for it because of lack of funds to purchase bitcoin and end up missing the opportunity.

In the recent few days we have seen some good momentum in bitcoins prices. Many people who were waiting for more cheap prices are now worried about this pump. Soon when bitcoins crosses 50k , they will feel missed out and started to buy in fomo. This cycle always repeat.

Another suggestion is to lock this Bitcointalk IPL Prediction Pool & Discussion thread for the time being and all the discussions of IPL should be done on this thread so it will always remain on top of the gambling board in the next two months giving maximum exposure to the sponsor.

So this thread is for the "Participants Only" or anyone can discuss and write here  Huh
Please clarify as i don't want to break the rules. Thank You
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 27, 2022, 05:26:35 AM
^^^^ LOL.. England is in big trouble. They have a lead of 10 runs, with 2 wickets in hand. It is funny how the match situation changed all of a sudden. Once again, the England batting collapses, with the top order contributing to hardly anything. One major drawback for England has been the poor form of Ben Stokes. It is true that he was able to score a century during the Bridgetown test, but overall his form has not been as good as it was before the injury. And all of this adds more pressure on Joe Root.

Don't know what's going on with England team at the moment. This will be upset and i am sure lots of people will lose their bets. England were favorites and more people bet in their favor.

With this win, West Indies will also with the test series. That's something big for the WI and again this result is not what every gambler anticipated and again a loss in bets by masses.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which sports are you placing bets on? on: March 27, 2022, 04:56:42 AM
There are a lot of players around the world. Not every games are favorite in all region. Some likes soccer, some maybe esports or some cricket or others.
Which one are you mostly placing your bets on? Besides, do you think gambler don't care which sport it is. I have seen gambler who don't have any fucking idea about cricket but he used to bet on cricket.

I also bet on cricket and these days IPL is in progress, so you can think that cricket betting will be at peak in these times.
Betting on a sports without knowing about the sports and strength of the team is a risky business but if his luck is good he might guess a team to win and what if that team really wins Wink
However such lucks do not happen daily and you can be that lucky once in a blue moon.
300  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 StarBets.io 🎲 || A Crypto-based iGaming Platform 🎲 on: March 27, 2022, 04:35:41 AM
Welcome to the forum.

I visit the site and the design looks well. I have not register yet and still browsing. You still have few games which is understandable because your site is new thus im looking forward to see more games added on your platform.

I like the idea for gamblers the opportunity to earn while they play and im interested.

Yeah, earning the native token is good while gambling. Even if you lose in the gambling game, you will still get some star tokens. By winning a game, of course you will still get the star tokens. If StarBets would be able to maintain the price of star tokens, it will be really good for the game and holders. Remember since people will get free tokens, there will be enormous selling pressure on this token.
