1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My sport betting journal. Build a 5 figure with a modest bankroll on: December 18, 2020, 04:27:10 PM
I agree with you OP, betting isn't easy and it requires a lot of time. Analyzing of past data: Which team was winning when there was matches between them, what was the score, how tense it was, in what conditions they are right now, who plays on the squad, where is the match, etc... Plays the important role when betting but most of the times people just bet blindly on teams that they have heard are good or they just look at odds and bet on lower ones, in reality, number of odds is the worst indicator.

My neighbour was earning living by betting on sportsbooks (to be fair except him I haven't seen anyone in real life who has been getting some profit from betting, yeah, I know a lot of gambler and better). He was always doing bets on multiple teams and was aiming odds x50 and higher. A lot of tickets were losing but in overall, some of his higher odds were winning and finally, he was getting profit for years.
What do you think about this? Have you done something similar?
1282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People support what Good for them but btc?? on: December 18, 2020, 03:54:30 PM
First of all, it's not mandatory to support bitcoin or any currency in this universe.
Then, you have to understand the pros and cons of bitcoin in order to support it or decide what to do. If you like the fiat system, if you like the way banks treat to their customers and in the overall banking system, if you like when you are dependant on 3rd parties, if you like when others track your transactions and use that for marketing strategies, then no, there is nothing wrong to don't support bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in overall. Everything is a personal wish and willpower. For those who are against it, bitcoin is a great escape.

(the price is low due to urgency, the platform is exclusive, not a single part of the exchange was bought, no one has an analogue of the code, the exchange engine itself is not for sale, a copy of the exchange is also not for sale)
Could you elaborate 'exchange engine is not for sale'? Does that imply you're selling the exchange but not its source code? Or the exchange is so exclusive that you never had intentions of selling the source code?

I'd say it's a very bad deal if the source code is not sold along with the product.
I think, he means that CMS (Content Management System) won't be sold alone. If anyone is looking for only the engine, i.e. cms of the website (script), he won't sell it, only whole business will be sold. That's pretty normal and logical.

Despite the fact that bitcointalk is the place that unites the major people in crypto industry, I still don't think that it's a great place to sell something. Very popular crypto casino - Rollin.io was for sale on this forum back in 2017 but somehow, real deal didn't happen. Rollin.io (BTC casino) is now for sale!
1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interest in Bitcoin is relatively low compared to 2017 Google says on: December 17, 2020, 07:32:58 PM
Well, 2017 year was a whole different experience not only fot crypto enthusiasts but for our society in overall. 2017 year was so full of passion, excitement, captivation... It's like when we say that nothing can match the first feeling of euphoria. Well, this year there was a lot of hype around bitcoin and it was the major source of information for a lot of media and in 2020 we have whole different experience. Right now, Pfizer catches their and people's attention and in overall covid is over everything, it's pretty normal if bitcoin isn't as trendy as it was back in 2017.
1285  Economy / Gambling / Re: [WARNING] Bustabit phising site! DON'T google "bustabit" !!! on: December 17, 2020, 05:44:08 PM
Isn't it common nowadays that Google search results with a tag of an "AD" shouldn't be trusted or followed?

Not just in Bustabit but other websites also have an AD version in their search results e.g Roobet, Stake.com, Primedice

It's not that Google isn't taking down those sites but even after they shutdown a page, there will be another one, and so on. Maybe Google should not use automated tools or something for approving a site. They should look at the internal stuff of the said website before allowing it to be placed on their search ads.

For users themselves, we need to use our common sense for this.
How will google be able to filter such websites? How does google know that bastabit is a clone of bustabit? Well, since template is the same, I think they should have a tool that would search websites against phishing or at least they should implement something like Youtube has on copyright claims when they scan the videos and audios. Otherwise, people won't be able to manually check each website and decide whether this is scam or not because they can't collect people who would know every website, so, the manual check is useless.

But the overall rescue will be if people will take care of themselves and do research before doing anything. This is the real problem, people don't look at what they click, google has nothing to do with your carelessness.
1286  Economy / Economics / Re: Cause of Covid Vaccine and it's Value on: December 17, 2020, 03:51:11 PM
To reduce the spread of the covid 19 virus, we need a vaccine, and now there are some vaccines ready to be released on the market this coming year 2021.

In my country there are some barangays/places to be vaccinated first. The question is, is it safe? What will be the effect on the person being injected?

You can trace the fear of people to its possible effect. There are people interviewed who really do not want to get vaccinated out of fear. Even me, I have doubt on this vaccine after what happened to the Dengvaxia vaccine which caused the deaths of some children's here in our country.

Aside from the possible negative or positive effect of this covid vaccine, we need to consider also the value of it.

We have no choice but to get vaccinated or get infected and die from CoVid, it's bitter to swallow but we have to take it, they have spent a lot of times and spent a lot of money just to come out a vaccine because this is the only solution we have right now because we can never be sure if we are going to be fine if we get infected with CoVid.
Wait wait, do you seriously say that? Don't we have another choice? I am a healthy male, workout a lot, haven't been infected for years by any virus and year will pass for me without getting flu. So, for people like me, I think there is no need to get vaccinated, especially when we don't know the side effects of it. There were a lot of medicines that had serious side effects that were only detected after years. An average healthy person doesn't need to get vaccinated, I think only 5-10% of population may get vaccinated, only those who have high potential to get dead or seriously ill by this virus. On another hand, we shouldn't get vaccinated without our wishes. Personally I think I am healthy and don't want to risk my future for the possible side effects of the vaccine, especially when I'll pass covid without any symptoms.
1287  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun-Most trusted & coolest looking provably fair blackjack in Market on: December 17, 2020, 01:58:06 PM
Hello guys.

So today I had a discussion with devs about our system what connects alternative accounts. On 12th December system connencted Hello I am Humb and webtricks accounts. Both users were on the site at the same time. One logged out, other logged in. It is very rare case that system can be wrong. Now I have to admit that this can be a case and dont have enough evidence that Hello I am Humb and webtrics are the same person even if it seemed so obvious at that moment. Didnt have any support from devs also at that moment who could provide me extra support and had to make a decision on my own as admin.

This is my public apology for webtrics for accusing him for having alternative account.

We improved the system and made it much more accurate then before.
So, one logged out and another one logged in at the same time? Did it happen in seconds? It sounds really curious but at the same time, as you mention, if they were active on website at the same time, then did they log in in the same browser via two different account and different IPs?

My advice is to seriously take care of similar cases and be very prepared, apologize can't help you to regain reputation, it's sad if you lose webtricks as a player because of your mistakes and you know what? webtricks will never recommend your website to his mates and they could be your potential customers before this accident. Just friendly advice, reputation matters the most in business and don't make mistakes similar of this!
1288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Defend the bitcoin network to the death on: December 16, 2020, 09:16:42 PM
This is not a cult. You don't have to defend the network with your lives.

It's highly unlikely that Bitcoin will 'die' unless there is a catastrophic event that brings down the entire internet and all of the hard drive's contents. The number of nodes that are present on the network ensures that there is sufficient redundancy. It also won't really matter that much if Bitcoin gets abandoned because there'll probably be a better version of the crypto available.
If you see the posts of users, most of them think that we have to defend bitcoin as OP mentioned. Idk why some people post things like this and blame every altcoin, especially Bitcoin cash and XPR, yeah, it's clear that there is shady marketing behind it but blaming BCH because it has higher block size and offers better transaction fees and speed, for me, sounds illogical.
So no, we don't have to defend anything, especially bitcoin. It's so strong that it doesn't need defence from you, see it's price, it's rising, going on the moon while you are on the earth, so, I think the answer is clear.
1289  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 16, 2020, 07:47:25 PM
I don't really know what to say if that's truth. First of all, current vaccine was created by very talented and intelligent scientists and doctors and still, no one knows what will be the side effect of this vaccine on long term and people really risk their lives to inject something that was never really tested on side effects + do they really know what they inject? Maybe that's a poison? If people really sell similar things, I think websites should ban them and prohibit the selling of similar things (they did similar of it years ago on another substance). It's comes to our health, seriously, injection is very dangerous, especially when you don't know what you inject, what's the side effects of it. What if Anaphylaxis will happen? I don't know what these people really think about.
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $20 000 BTC. We did it on: December 16, 2020, 06:48:45 PM
Finally!!! This is so cool, I believe that we will see bitcoin's price that we couldn't even imagine in our mind. I always say, halving plays the huge role in bitcoin's price, a lot of people have positive expectation and state of mind when it comes to halving, a lot of people expect rise in price and since we are the ones who set the value of bitcoin, it should skyrocket without doubt. Let's have a look at 2016-2017 year, we went from $600 to $20 000 and situation was quite similar. We couldn't even imagine if we hit $1000 but it happened like we went up to 20K. Since 2017, 20K was unbelievable as we went as low as 3K USD.
Well, not to talk much, I think bitcoin will reach 100K and even more.
1291  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - $1,000 Daily Race! 30% Rakeback! Advanced Dice Game🎲 2.000 Bets/s⚡ on: December 16, 2020, 06:12:07 PM
Seuntjie was and is a bot that basically does whatever you want against the house edge so you end up losing almost all the time anyway. I am not saying the bot is bad, it does exactly what it promises to do, but the mistake is with the people who think they could potentially change anything just by using some bot.

You are not changing the house edge, it is still there and you are not going to suddenly start winning just because you picked some strategy on some bot, it is still as horrible as you might imagine and nothing changed regarding that. Hence I think it is quite important to continue with what you know, instead of putting your hopes into something else.
People somehow think that different strategies lead to the different possibility of wins but in reality, house is the house and none method can beat it. People have to understand that there is the mathematics behind games and you can't beat numbers and make 2+2 to be 5. Well, it's not the right topic to discuss about this but what I want to say is that I love the way wolf.bet develops automated bets. It's just great, nice user interface and no need to move on any 3rd parties, in this case on Seuntjie. I think their autobet meets the criteria of most players, great step from them.
Also, it will be good if they implement play money, it will help users to build and test different strategies without the fear of loses.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cambodia enacts new laws related to gambling. on: December 15, 2020, 07:34:59 PM
I still believe that 7% is on the higher side, as most of the other nations have lower taxes. But I must congratulate the Cambodian government for the fact that they have legalized and regulated the gambling industry there. Here in India, the government is refusing to do that and as a result the gambling is mostly done underground away from the eyes of the government authorities.
There is so huge population in India, it will be impossible to control everything, that's why people get prescription medicines from India without problems. Same should apply to casinos, if local ones aren't allowed, then underground ones will shine but it won't be tax-free too (haha, I mean that they should have to pay some money to policemen to be still in shadow).

In overall, any country that bans gaming is losing a lot of profit and even worse is that money goes from their country to another one, where gambling is allowed. Nor country is winner, no gambler but another country where it's allowed. Ban on gambling looks like to ban drinking of water at home and push your roommates to buy them at grocery stores (but your money is wasted in it).
1293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the 1% of traders who earn with trading? on: December 15, 2020, 05:39:54 PM
From where did you take these statistics? I wouldn't say that only 1% of traders make money but without doubt, the actual number shouldn't be higher than 10 percent. Some people like me would say that trading is unprofitable, at least any statistics would prove that only a small percentage of traders actually make profit but on another hand, remember that if someone profits, it's because you lose! So, in this case it means that trading is very, very profitable if you belong to those number of people who profit from it because a lot of people lose a lot of money and a small number of people get them.
1294  Economy / Economics / Re: Sweden Explores Moving to a Digital Currency on: December 15, 2020, 04:48:51 PM
Before everyone starts circlejerking all over how great this is for bitcoin, you should recognize that such a system would be a competitor to bitcoin, not necessarily enhancing bitcoin value. It's built on the promise of digital currencies and blockchain generally, not bitcoin specifically, though bitcoin has demonstrated the use-case invariably.  I don't know that it would bring any tangible benefit to bitcoin specifically, but I think it would bring further legitimacy to digital currencies as a whole, of which bitcoin could potentially be a beneficiary in some capacity, though how much specifically would be hard to gauge.
And what's wrong with it if there is a project that could be a competitor for bitcoin? I even think that it's great, competitiveness is great and we shouldn't just stick with bitcoin. If there is something "better", why to stick with "good"? And if there is something "the best", then why to stick with "better"? Nothing to say about "good".
But in this case I wouldn't say that their currency is "better" and bitcoin is "good". I am against any currency that's created and owned by the government, it makes no sense for me. It's just a cryptographic form of their fiat but is far from bitcoin and similar cryptocurrencies, where the currency is decentralized and everyone is their own bank.
1295  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ Bet online ᐉ BTC Betting ᐉ Online betting odds on: December 15, 2020, 04:07:37 PM
Unfortunately, many victims have already fallen. And that will continue for a while, as their promotion is very powerful. You don't do much about that.

Right!
We can only hope that no one else falls for these SCAMMERS... Angry

As it was mentioned already, they have "powerful" marketing. Well, I would call it aggressive marketing. This kind of marketing makes people think like the company has a lot of money because they spend so much in marketing and logically this company should be reliable but this is where they make mistake.
1xbet has advertisement with Barca's players, this really makes sense among people, if they are partner of FC Barcelona, then they should be legit. 1xbit sounds like it should be owned by 1xbet, so, this company should be legit too.

This kind of thoughts make people to fall into their scam. Another fact is that 1xbit sometimes scams selectively. It makes people think like oh, those people were stupid and didn't follow the rules, if they did, then why wasn't my friend scammed?

So... It's sad but hope people will learn how to use google (or if google is shutdown like yesterday, then - bing and other search engines)
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: December 14, 2020, 10:39:33 PM
Wish you were thinking about this two years ago, now you would never ever look at cigarettes (or you'd have so good profit that you would go back to them haha). I have a lot of smoker friends, relates and some of them even say that the money that they have spent on a cigarette from the beginning, would be enough for them to buy a great car. Or they think the following: Oh, if I was collecting that money, right now I would have $10k on my deposit.

In any way, appreciate your decision and I even like that proposal: Quit smoking and buy Bitcoin. I hugely hope some people from cointelegraph and popular news websites will somehow see this thread and make articles about it like it was once when our forum member sold pizza.
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you sell your BTC for $100 000, and never go back to the game again? on: December 13, 2020, 06:57:11 PM
If someone were to offer you the option at this point to sell all the Bitcoin you have at a price of $100 000 per coin on the condition that you should never own it again, would you agree to it?
That's really a good question but I think you should have wrote fixed price because people with 0.0001 btc or similar amount will write an answer that should be digressional.

Those, who answer - YES, are a type of people who prefer "an egg today".
Those, who answer - NO, are a type of people who prefer "hen tomorrow".

Right now, my personal answer is following:
Despite the fact that I would get great profit that would be enough to launch a profitable business, I wouldn't make such decision that will not give me a possibility to use bitcoin in future. We should follow trends, be creative, past is past, we develop. If you stick with the past, you'll never develop. Maybe not only bitcoin but cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies are future in overall. Most companies invest their assets in bitcoin, most companies adopt bitcoin and what do you do in this case? Saying no to it in exchange of $100k on each? Isn't there a high chance that bitcoin will ever surpass that $100K?

Long story short - I prefer "hen tomorrow" so no, I wouldn't sell bitcoin even for that price because I'll lose the future possibilities.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 13, 2020, 05:01:42 PM
At some point, gamblers want to have fun. And his site by any means is far from that. Maybe some will play at the start but in the long run, I don't think they will stick to it. Unless, the owner will innovate their site and offer other games.
If gamblers want to search for fun, they don't have to think much about strategy, chasing the win money, and even 0% house edge because they want to enjoy the gambling games. It would help if you did not play the games for a long time because that can lead you to get a high pressure to recover your loss. If that happens, I am afraid you won't listen to your heart to stop playing the game, and you will use more money to recover the losses. But the site can offer to give 0% house edge to their members to attract more players to come to their site.
0% house edge means nothing despite the fact that it's the greatest advantage over other casinos. You have to acknowledge that 0% house edge will finally kill your business in just a few days/months.
Another example - It doesn't matter if you make very high quality Cognac, you can't beat Hennesy without proper marketing. And in this case, OP can't beat any casino with 0% house edge and website that looks like to be made by a two years old child that was just randomly clicking on buttons. User Interface plays a huge role for company! It's a look that attracts you.
1299  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin accepted for My business on: December 13, 2020, 04:21:54 PM
I want to introduce the payment with Bitcoin for clients who request it.
the business is a physiotherapy clinic in Madrid, Spain.
Could do it? I imagine it would be the first in my sector in Madrid.

https://www.purafisioterapia.com/
If you think that you'll be first in this sector in Madrid, then it means that you can't do actual research whether crypto in this business is a good addition or neutral (it can't be bad). So, you know, you are the first one who will implement it and in business, you have to be innovator, the first one who implements or creates innovations. Try to add cryptocurrencies, you won't lose customers but there may be new loyal ones who will appreciate the fact that you accept cryptocurrencies and it will be a pleasure for them to visit you.

To sum up, just try it if you don't lose anything, at least you'll gain a name of a company that become the first to accept cryptocurrencies in your sector in Madrid and anniversary fact of it will be that media may write some articles about you and it will help you in promotions.
