981  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: July 01, 2021, 02:07:49 PM
What about "systemic poverty"? Let me explain now. Systemic poverty is when the inhabitants of an entire country, at the level of state propaganda, impose the opinion that living well and richly is bad, that wealth (or an average and higher standard of living) is evil? Vivid examples are the USSR, which has sunk into history, the existing North Korea, etc. countries, as a rule, are the heirs of the concept of socialism in the Soviet way.
At the same time, the leaders of such countries, and the top of the government in such countries, always live in a separate isolated world, with a high level of income, immersed in luxury and wealth Smiley
Good point! Soviet Union was trying to make its countries closed and didn't let people to know what was happening in USA, Europe, etc. It was very hard to leave and get out of USSR. People were living poor, didn't have access on technics, TV, Radio, (When someone had, it was a phenomenal moment), there were shit Russian cars, etc. People were living poor life and since they didn't know what was the good life, they were thinking that they were living at their best and didn't have a requirement of a better life. Imagine, if you don't have access to electricity, computers, smartphones, etc. When you don't know these things, you'll never have a requirement of them. This was the life in USSR!

Will there be a world without poverty? There is no way! People are egoists, we all want all the best for ourselves, it's just our nature and it's pretty normal. There will always be someone who will try to achieve more success than someone other and humans will always try to compete against each other.

Someone who lives average life would be considered as the richest at past. Someone called poor right now would be the richest in ancient times. As time goes, the quality of life improves, so the meaning of poor is a little bit developing and probably in 400-500 years, someone called average would be considered poor according to future criterias.

Quite a few casinos will have some kind of loyalty scheme to it but running a free faucet for this period of time is probably world record level and yea because Bitcoin rose so much alot of people must have gained over the years from that, the site is definitely a positive for crypto overall in terms of easy regular involvement, stability etc.
Running of Faucet was their business model from the very beginning. When bitcoin's price started to rise, it was just really impossible for them to operate only via simple dice and faucet as they had. They couldn't give away normal rewards and people aren't attracted to low rewards, so, they changed their business model. If I amn't mistaken, they started by offering 4% interest on your deposit money and then they started massive development and you'll see the result (but I hope they'll dramatically change their User Interface).

Maybe if I only knew how to play poker I would take the time to wait for the tournament opening schedule.  That is freerolls and that is one of the opportunities that should not be missed by those who only know how to play and hope to increase their FUN tokens.
They had a promotion on Binance where you could earn the share of FUN tokens by trading them. Personally, I gained 75 FUN token.
There are and will be more opportunities in near future!
983  Economy / Speculation / Re: Using BTC only for Trading? on: June 30, 2021, 09:41:15 PM
If you read meaningless reddit posts about Shibu, please ignore them. Shibu is really high risk - high reward coin, it gained 30 000% since it's launch but in reality, I think these coins have zero value and are driven for no reason like Dogecoin.

In bitcoin trading, if you want to increase your profits, you can use Futures trading and use more than 1x leverage. For example, if you use 10x leverage and bitcoin increased in price by 1%, then you'll profit will be 10% of your capital instead of one but keep in mind that 1% decline means 10% loss too.

You can also use leveraged tokens trading for lower risk compared to futures trading (I mean liquidation).

There are also some altcoins that increase 2x, 3x and even more when bitcoin rises, for example let's take BNB and Matic (they depend on Ethereum's price but in overall, Eth follows BTC too). BNB is a great for low risk - high reward because the CEO does everything to make this coin top, so, great back!
And Matic, just see the charts, this coin is doing unbelievably well.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: June 30, 2021, 02:43:39 PM
I have been a part of Betsson team for a while and can truly say that this is the team that not only cares about the players deposit/withdraws but also cares on their addiction problems. There are numerous organizations that help gambling addicts, I want to share ones (from Betsson) that weren't included in this thread via OP or other users:

1. GA Gamblers Anonymous

2. Gordonhouse (Analogue)

3. Stödlinjen <-- If you are from Sweden

I'll create a thread and will talk more about these and additional resources, I think a similar thread should be pinned there.

Alright, a while ago, I noticed an "unfriendly" policy with regards to your affiliate program: Players being removed after a certain period of time etc. when "inactive" - you changed your wording on the site and assured me that this would only happen with players who didn`t deposit before.

So now I am wondering - one of my players has received an email from Bitsler, stating his account will be closed and balance removed shortly for not having logged in for 6 months.

1) This is a predatory term from a player perspective
2) Based on that term, that player would also be removed from my referred players

You can`t just do that - besides it being unethical, it`s absolutely shady and a great way for a casino to not pay for players "lifetime".

The email:

Quote
bitsler.com, your balances will expire soon

It's been more than 6 months since you last logged into your Bitsler account. Your available balances are :
0.00001322 BTC | 0.01783803 QTUM | 0.32565820 XRP | 19.26040061 DOGE.

After conversion at the current exchange rate your total balance could be converted to the amount of 0.000182 BTC.

In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, in section 16, under Inactive Users (https://www.bitsler.com/en/tos), your balance will be forfeited if you don't log into your account within the next 30 days.

We will contact you again before the 30 days period runs out if you don't login to your account again, which will then be your last chance before account closure happens and additionally lead to loss of any remaining funds that might be in your account.

Kindest regards,

Bitsler management.
What's unethical here? You registered on the website, deposited money and haven't even logged in on your account for more than six months. Why this website should keep your account? They pay money to keep servers up, to develop a website and offer you a better user experience, to keep your wallets safe and even add new ones, so, why should they keep your account and balance when you abandoned it? Have you seen any bank that allows you to keep money on your card and pay zero fees?
If I send you my car, will you keep it in your garage for free? I guess, no.

Also, they warn you and send emails for more than one time about this and what's unethical after all? I don't defend Bitsler, just don't think your argument is fair.
987  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 3 BTC Lottery ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC on: June 28, 2021, 03:43:42 PM
You are the second guy in the 1XBIT campaign that I sent a negative trust I could have ignored you for wearing their signature but defending that they are legit though they are not, and asking not to judge although there are so many proofs, I understand you want money but defending a scam casino even though there are so many proofs is just so unfair to all the victims.
Amount of complaints is the only thing that could be considered as a proof.

People here are got used to the common opinion appeared due to our absence on this forum. Even though there are quite a lot of positive things that could be considered as a proof of 1xBit being legit:

- list of resolved cases: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5267172.msg56150537#msg56150537
- another list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5267172.msg57260450#msg57260450
- honest review campaign with more than 50 positive or neutral reviews, only 2 negative: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5339885.0
- 4 weeks signature campaign paid, 5th coming: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5339884.msg57086933#msg57086933
- 3 BTC lottery with daily 1 mBTC contest: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5343260.0
When you started operating on this forum, was anyone complaining you? Did anyone sad bad about you without any proof? Was anyone blaming you? Nooo, right?
Why did you start to ruin your reputation instead of building it? Why where there a lot of scam accusation threads against you? And these threads were coming with proofs, you were closing accounts of customers who won a good amount of money.
I have two questions and hope you'll answer me:
1. What changed now? Why are you trying to gain trust?
2. Why were you scamming users in past? And if you changed, then do you admit that you were a scammer in past?
988  Other / Archival / Re: Why is it a waste of time and money to buy ready-made trading strategies? on: June 28, 2021, 02:49:08 PM
What strategies do these people buy? There is only one working strategy and that's: Buy Low / Sell High.
The problem is that people don't realize one thing: If person somehow has one working strategy, why would he/she sell it? And how can one build a strategy in crypto where yesterday price was 60K and today it become 30K after Musk's tweet and China's ban article? Can any strategy predict this? Any strategy follows the basic rule: Buy low and sell high and people have to just be very patient, trade rarely, only when there are good moments. If you have $50 and want to turn it into $50 000 then you come here with the wrong mindset.

I think usually people buy not trading strategies but the trading bots. These sellers know what people want: To earn money while having fun in the cinema, at parties, etc.

In our case, you can add that you don't know how to make money - start selling strategies.  Cheesy

989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling Licenses - What they actually mean on: June 28, 2021, 02:22:13 PM
As I see, crypto casinos usually use the Curacao license because it's cheap and easy to maintain + you only pay 2% tax of your net profits. Also, right now, more than 90% of crypto casinos have Curacao license and it's very usual for gamblers to see, it almost turned into a tradition. I have even seen players who were at some point amazed by not seeing Curacao license and were asking whether the website was legit or not. yeah, really!

To say the truth, the license doesn't matter that much nowadays, certain licenses are acquired for certain benefits. What matters the most is the honesty of casino. There are great casinos like: Stake, Bitsler, Sportsbet and others that have Curacao license but they are leaders in the crypto industry and have gained enormous trust, popularity and profit. I doubt there is another sportsbook with more "trusted" license but as popular and trustworthy as Sportsbet.io
990  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️ WINDICE.io Contests TvT Progressive Faucet Jackpots ❤ on: June 28, 2021, 01:24:47 PM
I would say VPN is not as dangerous as you make it out to be, it is just normal because casinos are banned in my nation so I have to use vpn, otherwise I wouldn't be able to gamble at all. Of course it is dangerous but what is gambling if not doing something dangerous?
The problem is this:

Many platforms (exchanges, gambling casinos, ...) explicitly prohibit the use of VPNs in their Terms of Use. This is not a big deal for gamers, you can still use the services via VPN.

But now imagine you are extremely lucky and win 2 BTC and want to withdraw them. With such sums, manual checks are usually in play where it is then also immediately found out that you are using a VPN. The withdrawal process is then blocked and your user is banned.

This is unpleasant for casinos, but not too tragic, since you have probably only invested a small amount of your own money. But imagine that with an exchange, where you can no longer withdraw your hard-earned BTC ...
There is nothing wrong if you use VPN on casinos. I haven't seen casinos that restrict VPN usage but the reason why some people get banned for using them is that they use the VPN that has shared IP. When IP is shared, it means that there is the possibility that someone with that IP was already using your targeted casino. So, in this case you have to use VPN with dedicated IP and then you can feel secure, none casino will lock your account because this is the exclusive IP that you carry.

To be 100% sure, you can always ask Casino whether they allow you to use VPN or not. In 99% cases, you'll get answer that it depends on you and there is zero problem from their side. By the way, they won't recommend, nor will prohibit to use.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terms and condition a must read before signing up any online gambling site on: June 27, 2021, 11:18:54 PM
I guess 99% (if not 100%) of people don't fully agree with the terms that the casino provides but finally, when you want to gamble, there is no other choice but to agree with the offered terms.
So, most crypto casinos share the same Terms & Conditions and Curacao license. But what happens now? Now people should start to look at whether this or that casino easily asks for KYC in certain cases. If the user finds that casino A doesn't ask for KYC when you win and doesn't really ask if there isn't anything suspicious, then the user will stick with casino A, especially if it has good promotions and bonuses.
Luckily, there are really a lot of good casinos out there that really match the criteria of my casino A example.
992  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk has lasted a long time. Good job. on: June 27, 2021, 09:13:25 PM
The website lasted a long time and still lasts with its old software and UI...

Even if we forget everything, this forum is just an online treasure and museum, a place where the legendary Satoshi Nakamoto was posting, a place where the other legendary people were posting, a place where the businesses were built and conquered the crypto space and a place where you'll see the community like no other.

I think this forum needs something new, I feel that as time goes, more people leave this forum. I loved the 2014-2017 years of bitcointalk. Sadly, right now, even cointelegraph has 2x better Alexa rank than bitcointalk.org
993  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump regrets not banning twitter as he hails Nigerian government for doing so on: June 27, 2021, 08:23:37 PM
Donald Trump supported hydroxychloroquine as the most affordable, easiest to obtain and most effective treatment for COVID-19 for a very long time.

There may have been a significant shift where Trump threw hydroxychloroquine under a bus. In favor of remdesivir, regeneron, vaccines and other COVID drugs which are significantly more expensive and questionable as to whether they're as effective as hydroxychloroquine. That may be one of the best indicators of Trump abandoning policies that were in the best interest of americans. In favor of policies which are in the best favor of special interests.
I think you like that idea because of your username Cheesy

Pharma is a business, one of the most huge business. There are a lot of medicines for depression, pain management, for sleep, to calm down, etc and somehow, all of them are mentally and/or physically addictive. There are non-addictive alternatives but they are always under research and not approved. Without addiction, pharma companies wouldn't be able to sell as much products as they sell right now.
So, why I said that... Pharma companies prefer to create a new one and sell it in high price in order to gain more profit.
Btw as far as I know, medics can prescribe any medicine off-label for various reasons. And there are a lot of doctors that always treat their patients without following the protocol.
I know a lot of doctors who were giving away antibiotics to their patients while it was prohibited according to their protocol and as most of them claim (that I know), the protocol was shit and if they followed it, a lot more people would die with covid.
994  Economy / Economics / Re: Amateur Traders Cause Bubbles on: June 27, 2021, 07:36:37 PM
It pretty well explains the volatility that dominates the Bitcoin market without being a study about Bitcoin.

I don't think that can be applied to Bitcoin nowadays as amateur traders don't dominate the Bitcoin market. They have some influence but they definitely don't dominate it. If you were talking about the past, maybe the 2016-2017 market I could agree, but not nowadays.

That said, it must be recognized that they have influence over the price, especially when they are over-leveraged and at the slightest drop in the price they get margin calls, thus lowering the price even more, as we saw recently.

Well,think twice.
Amateur traders still dominate the crypto market.Without them, the crypto whales wouldn't be able to make profits out of market manipulation,by creating FOMO and FUD phases.
Newbie traders have big influence over the stock markets as well, because of apps like Robinhood, trading has become really accessible for the "average Joe".
The volatility of the Bitcoin price can be explained with the nature of Bitcoin-limited supply and unstable demand.Rookie traders have big influence over the BTC price, without them, the volatility would be way lower and the market would be less liquid.

Who dominates the ocean, fish or whales? I guess, whales. Everything is always dominated by the whales, they just use amateur traders to achieve their aims. Whales can create the hype around project and make amateur traders to buy and buy the coin, then whales make some move that makes amateurs to panic and boom, your bubble is exploded.
Amateur traders just follow the flow that whales create, once something goes wrong (i.e. any negative news, massive sell), then people try to move away from this flow as soon as possible. Some people have a little patience compared to others and wait a little further, then they think that price falls so much that it's time for them to leave too, then others follow and once the price reaches the low point (the point when the majority of people sell), then it starts to rise again and then these panicky people are lost in vain and repeat the same.
995  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Mobile App UI | UPDATE | May 17 on: June 26, 2021, 11:35:08 PM
Would it be possible to develop an app using ninjastic.space current API? To start with, just for forum reading.
Yes, but I don't think there is enough demand to justify the time needed to code one.
I agree with you. Btw, no one cares about the UI, so who will care about the APP? I guess I am even going to stop doing of what I'm doing at the moment.

I'm not sure about that. UI mockups are one thing, but the full-featured APP is something else altogether.
If there were an APP that made it easier to view bitcointalk forum on mobile devices, I would be very interested.
There are softwares like XD, Figma, Invision, Marvel, etc that lets UI/UX designers to create the prototype of its product and let the users test it. You won't be able to download and install an app from Appstore or Playstore or even download APK but you will be able to test all the basic functions and feel how the app works, it's called user-testing and is done in order to know what you need to improve in your UI, how easy and pleasant experience it is for your customers to use the app, etc. (Before that, you create Personas and build the product according to their statistics).
Some nice updates will come soon and I'll prototype it also and share it to the users.
Again, I don't make the actual App, I only make the UI, design.
996  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This sh*t ain't for the faint of heart! 😭 on: June 26, 2021, 10:52:46 PM
Y'all going in now or what?!

28k was a good price to go in, relative to where it is now. Meaning, you know it was good when you've long passed it and you're looking down at it. But what'ch'y'all think? Still a good time? Tempted to go all in, not gonna lie.
Wait, what do you want from trading? Do you wanted to buy bitcoin exactly at $28,808.00 ? What did you want? To buy today and become rich tomorrow? If you think that price is high at the moment and there is the possibility of price fall, then you can call short on futures trading and you'll profit when the price declines.

Every time is a good time when the price is far from it's all time high, that's what I think and that's what has always succeed for me. It's not necessary to check your portfolio every day and every time, just seat and wait. One year ago, bitcoin's price went from 9K to almost 3K, I really missed that moment and the second day price recovered. If I have watched that fall, I would panic and sell, glad I missed that moment.
997  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla Bought 1.5 B in Bitcoins on: June 26, 2021, 09:54:21 PM
This topic is widely discussed, but still one of the most reliable indicator in crypto is Elon Musk twitter account.
This situation looks absolutely wild for the people who come from the conservative markets like stocks, forex, etc. A single statement of Elon can change the current trend in crypto markets and make minor investors either get rich or go broke.

If you believe that whatever Elon Musk says or does not say drives the bitcoin price in any kind of meaningful way, you are delusional... and don't understand bitcoin, either.
The drive was mostly caused by the post-halving expectation, PayPal's adoption and yeah, Elon Musk had an impact on the further rise too. His post affected bitcoin's price very significantly and caused a massive drop (but I'll mention that it was going to go from 30K to 40K pretty quickly but then it got another hit from China). Then we saw Polygon (Matic) despite the fact that BTC was falling and it happened after Elon's tweets... So yeah, he affected the crypto market but I guess, his influence has lowered a lot, a lot of people blame him for crypto fall and especially his Doge fans.

998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: June 26, 2021, 09:21:46 PM
For a business to build a reputation, it takes a lot of money and time to be invested to achieve this through marketing, brand awareness and all other activities.

But my question is why would they risk all they have invested to a few players by scamming them? I for one know the forum will side with the player that have been allegedly being scammed in most cases but how do casino's/bookies  protect themselves if not terms and conditions?

If people buy reviews to paint a picture of a good standing business,  what would stop the competition from buying people to tarnish a competitors reputation to have an advantage in the business?
Have a look at HashOcean, it's not gambling-related but is pretty much near to this discussion. They were claiming themselves as the real bitcoin cloud mining company and imagine, they were paying users for almost two years, you were getting the invested money back in 3 months. As time was going, people were both, amazed by the ROI and were believing that this company was really doing cloud mining. Lately, a lot of people sold their houses and invested money in HashOcean and one day, they closed their website and went away. There was petitions, etc, but nothing happened. And HashOcean steal so much money that they even affected the bitcoin's price.

You won't see a normal company scamming people.

Compare two to each other - 1xBit and Stake. The first one has BetB2B script and scams people, the second one has it's team and departments and operates honestly. The first one doesn't try to build reputation, it tries to attract as many customers as possible and then do the all-in-one scam.
999  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [UPDATE] | monk.gg PvP Crypto (Testnet) Casino | Looking For UX/UI Feedback on: June 26, 2021, 07:54:11 PM
Is it easy? Yes and that's the main idea of UX but at the same time, it's not aesthetically pleasing, at least I think so. You have to seriously work on UI and change the current structure a little bit and make it much more beautiful.

I think that the buttons and fonts in the middle and right sides look very big. I would also change the font type. And I guess there wasn't spend much time on color combination and psychology. You can find amazing color combinations on Dribbble.

Also, have a look at competitors and seriously analyze them. And in this case, I don't only mean crypto casinos but every digital casinos overall.

^ Lol, all I can see here is don't feed his troll by the OP, I opened the site but it is shilling the review site here for free.
I don't know if there is a real dice calculator and how you will earn on it. There is no such thing, the dice game is based on a luck game, and even you, you can control your BTC spending but on others knowing the result for the dice is unlikely possible. Therefore I conclude that you are simply shilling your review site here.
There is one bot/software on this forum - mydicebot that lets you to create strategies, test them and modify the way you wish + there are some popular strategies implemented too. It lets you to do bets and test your luck without risking your bankroll.

But people, when there exists a house edge, there is absolutely no way to win over the casino. House edge means that the casino has an advantage over you. Every game / casino product is based on mathematics.
To make things more clear and easy to understand: According to math, 1+1=2 and there is no way to receive any other answer, none strategy can change the answer, none, there simply doesn't exist any strategy that will change this result. So, there is no way/strategy to beat the house. If you beat it, that may happen because of your luck, fortune!
