At the moment, I want to present the main page of APP.

1243  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🎲Tower.bet 🎲🔥 New Platform arrived 🎲Crash 🎲 HiLo 🎲 Wheel 🎲Contests 🎲 on: January 11, 2021, 10:15:13 AM
The highlighted restriction is truly bad. This is like forcing an user to gamble, depositing funds in his account is purely a self decision. He decides whether to gamble or not. Maybe can have the limitations on the withdrawal limit. Some sites have withdrawal limit of 0.004 btc and one needs to deposit and withdrawal if the wallet balance got reduced below the limit.
Why do you create an account in online casino? Your aim is to gamble, right? So, when a person deposits money and then requests withdraw, it looks suspicious. It turns an alarm that account owner isn't a gambler and he/she may uses it for money laundering. This restriction is done in order to get rid of this problem. Without doubt, it can't 100% fix this case but is capable to at least lessen such facts. After this restriction, when person wants to launder money, more likely he/she will use the mixer and won't play with luck.
1244  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crash Bitcoin Game| Clone of Bustabit.com on: January 10, 2021, 06:40:50 PM
According to bustabit, if you make any changes in their open source code, you have to make it public and if you make changes without publishing, then you need to acquire license.

If you don't care about the license, after all, it's unethical to copy/paste everything.

Idk if anyone is dumb enough to buy this script from you and launch the website because casinos aren't created that way. Owner needs the license, the team of developers, marketers, etc that will work for the casino. Just buy script, install latest nodejs and run the business doesn't happen.
1245  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Visa Cards Are Now Available in Europe on: January 10, 2021, 04:48:53 PM
According to binance, fees of atm withdrawal are up to 0.9% but as I see from your screenshots, you get withdrawal with zero fees. How is that possible? Is there a certain limit where withdrawals from ATM are free or it's an individual task and depends on bank/atm?

Also, are you able to do a contactless withdraw from ATM? In my country, every bank charges high fees (more than 2%, usually 5%) when you try to withdraw from ATM via contactless way and is binance still capable to offer you not more than 0.9% fee?

How would you compare Binance card to XAPO?

1246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V on: January 10, 2021, 02:35:35 PM
Personally, I suggest everyone to use two devices: one for everyday use and one for only special purposes.

For special purposes:
Rule N1 - Use Linux!
Rule N2 - Only visit websites that are 100% secure. For example, if you only use binance, youtube and bitcointalk, visit only these websites and don't move on another one. Don't click on any 3rd party link that's posted on these websites, your browsing history should be only these three websites! This way you are sure that you won't get infected unless there is a problem with these three websites.

In reality, you aren't secured once you are online but it's always better to have two or more devices for special purposes.

Also, consider the OP's advice, always be extra cautious.
1247  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: About selling Digital Goods! on: January 07, 2021, 10:58:42 AM
I don't understand what's the point: 1. Sell items on bitcointalk in Digital Goods section or 2. Just sell items online.

In the case of the first one, absolutely, you can sell items as long as you carry legal product and your "business" doesn't violate laws. If you sell cracked/stolen keys, then - no.
You can't sell the "virus", it's against laws and is illegal!
You can just open "Thread" and offer the listing to bitcointalk members.

In the case of the second one, you can sell items online too but before doing this, you have to do deep analyze of your niche. You have to consider SEO (keywords, difficulties, available domain names, budget for marketing, etc). Long story short - you have to learn digital marketing, SEO and website management before thinking about this.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever proven fairness of games? on: January 07, 2021, 10:27:47 AM
The best you can do is play at a site that has professional gambling games from a provider such as Netent. There are plenty of large sites on the forum that offer that. Then you know for sure that you play fair games.

But that's the thing, you can't actually know you're playing fair games just by going to such a casino. Not that I have anything against Netent or other providers. I'm not saying their games aren't fair either, but the fact is that you can't know, you can only trust their word. That's the whole idea behind provably fair games, to get around that.
When it comes to live BlackJack, you actually see what they are doing in live. On another hand, they have thousands of employees, for example Evolution has up to 3K employee in a country where lives up to 3.5 million people, so, I hugely doubt all of them are so professionals to cheat customers online. In overall, no, live casinos and in this case, Evolution, doesn't cheat, the game is 100% provably fair. The problem is that people lose and think that game isn't fair while in reality games are mathematically made to be profitable for casinos in long term. Also, in most cases, governments regulate casinos and it's prohibited to cheat customers (I know a case when the government was checking the casino's fairness).

We implemented merit system back in January 24, 2018. Personally, I think that merit played an important role in partly improving the posts quality but seems it’s still not enough.
Recently, there are a lot of complains regarding to low post quality, more newbie restrictions, etc.

Since theymos doesn’t want to apply more restrictions on newbies (and that’s logical) and wants to keep this forum newbie-friendly, I came up with an idea to implement “Reactions on posts”.

We can have:
1.   Like (good post)
2.   Dislike (bad post)
3.   Haha (not spammy but funny post) or any other idea for neutral comment.

Reactions on comments
The positive side of this implementation can be that bitcointalk members will be able to react on each-others posts. In overall, we will create statistics of high quality and low quality posters that will help us to identify spammers. When there are a lot of dislikes on posts, it will automatically alarm the moderator to remove the comment.

Feedbacks on profile
Users will be able to leave positive and negative feedback regarding to post quality (i.e. likes and dislikes) on user’s profile. How will it work? Well, it will help users to rank up along with activity and merit. Of course, requirements to rank up will be much lower compared to number of mertis and activity. This scheme is similar of invite system but very different, you are able to register without invite but you have to gain recommendation in order to rank up. What will be the advantage of this action? In order to increase your ranking, you’ll need to get likes on your profile from Full Members+. If someone decides to lie and falsely leaves positive feedback on alts, we will be able to identify alts and abuser users.
1251  Other / Meta / Re: An iOS app for this forum? on: January 03, 2021, 03:46:08 PM
I could work on one if the forum had a public API to make my job easier.  That won't be viable until the new forum software gets released, and even then, we don't know if they will actually have a one.

I don't think that you'd (ever) want to do that.
Just imagine that somebody gets his account "hacked" (doesn't matter how), loses some Bitcoin and blames it all on you.
You may have even to make the code open source and it may still not matter for some (see Electrum scandal)

So I'd keep it official, with or without an API.
First of all, 3rd party apps shouldn't be trusted, it can be made for fun but not used for serious cases.

The author can also state that app is made for fun and he isn't responsible for any damage caused by this app (related to bitcointalk).
Btw even if the account is hacked and bitcoins are somehow stolen, it has nothing to do with an app. It can happen via social engineering or the user mentioned his keys in PMs.

Btw, for me, bitcointalk's app UI/UX will be a lot of fun and good experience.
1252  Other / Meta / Re: An iOS app for this forum? on: January 03, 2021, 02:21:00 PM
I think we won't see anything like this before epochtalk and to be fair, I don't even think we will ever see apps for bitcointalk.

This forum needs good UI/UX designers, who will consider all the details of this forum (features like merit, report, etc) and design a website that will be simple and user-oriented. Also, good web developers who will build a responsive design that will be low in size and fast, optimized for every device.

I think, if theymos really wants, he can easily collect talented guys on this forum and finally do this job but idk what's happening. If we want to move on epochtalk, then this development should be finished more quickly and if we want to stay on SMF, then we should create a new template and suit it to SMF.

In reality, it's true that the design is very out-dated, it's not a huge problem for me but I think we should follow the modern trends.
1253  Other / Meta / Re: Suggesting this: BrandNew account limits on: January 03, 2021, 01:16:42 PM
We can't request this action from theymos because he wants traffic on this forum and such members generate huge traffic of bitcointalk. High traffic means higher cost of ads on the website, i.e. high revenue for theymos. Forum runs on servers and has costs, moderators need money too (I remember hilariousandco said that they are paid according to their work).
The forum sits on ~1250 Bitcoin and theymos already said it doesn't need money, and he doesn't personally need to profit of it either (I'm too lazy to find back the posts). I don't think high traffic is a priority. Instead, the forum's mission is to be "as free as possible".
Maybe theymos wants to use forum funds for other good things? Check this!
I amn't 100% sure what theymos said about signatures but one thing that comes to my mind is that signature campaign drives a huge traffic on this forum and is the major part of forum's ecosystem. By removing sigs, forum will lost traffic and high traffic = profit. Also, I remember that Roger Ver wanted to add signature campaign on forum.bitcoin.com in order to boost the website's traffic and make his forum more popular.

Btw this forum has "ignore" function. I think the best alternative will be if theymos adds "hide" function and we won't even see users and their posts once they are hidden for us.
I don't think I have the patience to hit ignore for every new user that comes along. Multiply the effort by all active users and you've effectively wasted cumulative years of work on what amounts to swatting a few flies away... which come back swarming every time.
We need more users like DannyHamilton, he made the huge ignore list on this forum.

Also, direct answer to OP's idea (quote from theymos):
there are an awful lot of newbie restrictions, and I don't want the forum to be unwelcoming to good newbies.
1254  Other / Meta / Re: Suggesting this: BrandNew account limits on: January 03, 2021, 11:12:51 AM
Theymos said that no limitation will be implemented on this forum for newbies and registration will be as easy as it was and is right now.

It has it's pros and cons.

Btw this forum has "ignore" function. I think the best alternative will be if theymos adds "hide" function and we won't even see users and their posts once they are hidden for us.

For more, PM!

Edit: Deal was done! So, locking this thread again.
1256  Economy / Services / Re: NotYourKeys.org - Community Contribution Avatar Campaign on: December 31, 2020, 07:42:38 AM
It's a very good initiative. I don't have much hope that people will really consider this advice and get interested in what does "not your keys" mean but I still hope that we should try, if it can rescue at least one man, then it worths!

Not your keys - not your coins!
1257  Other / Meta / Re: Official Bitcoin Song on: December 25, 2020, 10:28:02 PM
That would be fucking dope. I love League of Legends songs, and riot does a fuckin good job at it. If someone manages to pull off a song for btc the way riot releases its LoL songs, AH man GOOSEBUMPS. That would be fuckin HYPE.

There could be songs that like diss on Roger ver, or you know on bitcoin itself, or like altcoins are ruining my life(parody of e-girls are ruining my life). It would be fucking dope if its done right.
Yeah, Riot Music Team is amazing (thanks to mako), love their:
1. Piercing light (mako remix)
2. Rise
3. Legends Never Die
4. Warriors (not actually them but Imagine Dragons wrote it for lol)
5. Phoenix

Bitcoin can be promoted and adopted in musical industries that way, especially it can push apple to accept bitcoin on iTunes.  A song that will be as amazing as those that I wrote and will have millions of views and active listeners worldwide, what can be a better promotion for adoption? And for spreading the message?
1258  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ Bet online ᐉ BTC Betting ᐉ Online betting odds on: December 25, 2020, 08:39:54 PM

This question has been asked many times, but never answered.
So, @1xbit_official
Which license does your company hold for offering the gaming services?

According to this website (https://bookmakers.net/1xbet/licence/), 1xbet holds a license from Curaçao like most of the others but I couldn't find anything on 1xbit.com about their license.
Like most of the others? Casinos similar of 1xbet hold a license in different countries in most cases and don't operate from Curacao, well, in reality, it doesn't mean isn't the huge indicator of whether the casino is a scam or not but we all should agree that 1xbet/bit is a scam. Like 1xbet, they hold a Curacao license but it's very bad that they don't state that on their website, idk why people gamble on website that doesn't even say anything about the license, sounds very curious for me. I don't even know if I have to blame 1xbit or not because people's silliness plays a huge factor in their success.
1259  Other / Meta / Official Bitcoin Song on: December 25, 2020, 07:12:46 PM
I remember when the price of btc was high in 2017, theymos had an idea of seasted, a place for bitcoiners.
I know my idea is very far from it but something came to my mind after listening to Arknights 2021 Song
Long story short, Starset is my favourite rock band, I know their lead singer Dustin Bates, just met him in concerts and always had some conversations. He is very interested in science and technologies... Well, he wrote a song for the Chinese mobile game - Arknights. What about if we spend some of the forum's funds on this and write the official Bitcoin song?
I am into marketing too and love the way League of legends promote their product via songs, one such an amazing thing for btc by starset or imagine dragons or another popular band? Person? Not a bad idea Smiley)))
1260  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 25, 2020, 06:19:05 PM
Despite the fact that I disagree when people say: Don't invest what you can't afford to lose (because otherwise you won't see good, noticeable profit), this is the case where I disagree with OP. First of all, when you take loan, it means you don't have a lot of money to spend on something or you are taking serious amount of money and put your house or other assets in loan. The problem is that it comes with huge risks, yeah, reward may be high but the risk will make you to lose everything. There were a lot of people who took a loan and invested back in 2017 and end up very bad, reddit was full of these kind of posts, so, please, don't give this advice to others.
