We need to halt trading to stop the manipulators from profiting! We all play or nobody can play!

No we don't. I bet you thought it was all rainbows, kittens, and puppy breath when the "manipulators" came in with their big money and broke down 500,000-1,000,000 fiat walls time after time. That money doesn't last forever. Eventually they have to sell their coins and get back into fiat to be able to buy again and this is how they do it. Buy big, sell big. If you don't like the game, take your coins and go home.

There is some huge fleecing happening and people wont realize it untill the prices bounce back in a couple hours from now and all the panic selling people did was a HUGE manipulation to get coins out of your pocket.

I lost coins the first times I traded. You either learn how to play the game, learn that you suck at playing the game, or totally lose your ass. You can't save them all.

We have not crashed

Sure looks like one to me. Even if the price recovers back to where it was before all this, it's still a crash. Denial, river, Egypt, etc.

Im not talking about breaking walls! im talking about a coordinated DDOS on charts , exchanges and forums like here! So there goes the first bit of nonsense youre yapping!

the coins you lost when you were first trading wasnt BECAUSE OF MANIPULATORS DDOSING THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE!

YOU LOST YOURE COINS CAUSE YOU WERE IGNORANT AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT THE FEK YOU WERE DOING!!

AND THATS OK!!!

NoW all the noobs dont have that same opportunity to be A DUMB ARSE LIKE YOU DID !

WHAT CRASH! lolz.. There was only a crash if someone told you to jump and you said how high and jumped like alil b****!!! LOLZ
(im trying to school the noobs and save the face of bitcoin)

We cant all be labled scammers and manipulators!! There will be not bitcoin if we do!!

virtex now at 200$ btc china headed that way!!

People who were asleep will miss the whole thing and wake up to price the same or not far off from when they were last awake!!

Leaving only the people who sold in a panic to be the loosers!

1302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Youre Being Lied too (crash) on: April 10, 2013, 08:51:08 PM
who cares, im glad I got out, i couldn't care less if it rebounded and it will rebound tomorrow which is what the bulls are waiting for so they can sell at a better price and then the market will be completely screwed

^^ exactly my point you have been lied to .. ate the pill and dont even know it!

You cant even remember the color of the pill and who gave it to you! Youre just so happy .. and of course youre now you can magically predict the future of the market.

--------

Let us know how much you end up buying back in at!!
1303  Economy / Speculation / Re: Youre Being Lied too (crash) on: April 10, 2013, 08:33:04 PM
Denial Post?  Why, I never expected such a thing.

^^ some of us knew what was up from the get .. alot of onlookers dont! They depend on the liquidity of the sentiment of the current maket!

So no its not a denial post .. its a warning to onlookers! Its save face in the community and if this and post like it remain a sticky than the less value such actions have on the community!  EVERYONE WILL KNOW ITS A MANIPULATION! NOT JUST THE REGULARS!!

We dont have to wait for someone to defend us we can defend ourselves! dialog and take steps..

You don't understand, the volatility is a nice feature, it drives out the weak hands and the bad daytraders. Bitcoin doesn't fuck around. The people who think this is the top of the bubble will be proven wrong again and again until they turn bull, and those who don't will have fun with their helicopter fiat when it is worthless. All's well that ends well.

Oh i understand! Its one thing to have volatility.. its another to cripple the markets and endanger future prospects because of  FORCED TEMPORARY volatility! Without the new $$ money or the noobs $$$ We have no growth!!

I 50% agree with the OP. I think MtGox and other exchanges are fooling themselves to think that a few kids with PCs can compete with the big boys. There should be no day trading except through licensed brokers. In fact, the Bitcoin prices should only be reported by the brokers as well. Let them deal with the brunt of the public interface. Having a website that is open to the public is just a painted target for DDOS attackers. It would be better to have many brokers open to the public and a few exchanges only open to brokers.

Point taken .. but a simply coordination by gox via its lag ... would be similar.

Lag greater than 5 min than all exchanges HALT trading!

ITS NOT THAT HARD TO COORDINATE!

If you think mtgox, bitstamp, bitfloor, btc-e and all our charts and even bitcointalk all just became incapable than you just wont get it.

WE NEED A COORDINATED  SHUTDOWN! HALT TRADING!!

Not to save the plummeting prices!! THE PRICE WILL BOUNCE BACK!! SOMETIMES IN HOURS!

We need to halt trading to stop the manipulators from profiting! We all play or nobody can play!

 We have not crashed !!

YOU ARE BEING LIED TOO!!!

When prices have returned ... you will wish you were just sleeping and missed all the hoopla.

Ya Sold for nothing, literally!

1305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 10, 2013, 07:13:34 PM
This is a targeted shake out!!  gox. floor, stamp, even btc charts and bitcointalk .. crawling if not crashed!!!

This is not real! Its a manipulation.. and good chance prices will balloon right back! When need to study this and make sure we can mute these type of attacks by using some kind of coordinated shutdown!

Either we all play or nobody can play! Anything else is bullshit!~

1306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 10, 2013, 11:15:48 AM

If you must "read up".. remove wallet from computer immediately!!  Cheesy

I guess everything is relative. For me, it was mostly about starting to use a safe VPN (that accepts bitcoins). I think I had most bases covered before that.

Checklist:

1. Filesystem encryption.
2. Password management.
3. Individually encrypted wallets.
4. Local firewall.
5. Cron virus scan.
6. Sane file permissions.
7. VPN (with failsafe switch).

8. Encrypted wallets stored on several locations.

Todo:

1. Paper backup in safe.

The thing I'm concerned about is keyloggers.

My password is very long and secure and I have it completely memorised, I only use it for things like Bitcoin and it's never been written down.

Due to the price of these coins I'm going to get a separate computer (probably a cheap netbook) to store my Bitcoin client on.

I'll use it only for doing transfers, nothing else.

Of course I have my wallets backed up in various places as well.

I suggest Armory.
One "live" computer with armory, with "watching-only" wallets.
Another small computer completely offline, doesn't even need the blockchain. Has the same wallets, but including the privkeys.
Create a tx, move it to your offline computer via usb-key, it signs, you send the tx on your online computer.

This, with several independent wallets (like one small wallet which has the funds directly on the online computer too) is pretty secure.

I admit im not rocking a paper backup yet.. Its not even on my todo list but it should be!! Best advise is dont keep it all in one place. The coolest i saw was a ring that had a partial address engraved on the inside.. The rest in the head!
