1461  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Batch #3 Not selling as fast.... on: March 26, 2013, 01:21:55 AM
Yeah i got lots of em.. i got a filco keyboard rated at a millions clicks! <-- Smiley

^^ maybe ya missed the part where i said "But we all understand the demand and supply chain.."

Avalon has pulled rank on the competition indeed but its easy to say we are # 1 when youre the only one on the stage..
Nonetheless, it seems just showing up to the competition makes you a winner here "!"

But in all honestly im not taking away from Avalons accomplishment.. I think i made it clear.. maybe it wasnt crystal "!"

So ill spell it out .. AVALON DID A GREAT JOB OF GETTING THEIR DEVICE TO MARKET BEFORE ANYONE ELSE. FOR ALL INTENSE PURPOSE IF I WOULD HAVE MADE THE CUT $ I WOULD BE POSTING IN THE THANK YOU AVALON THREAD!

I hope its crystal now "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Filco Keyboards FTW!!!!!

Think im gonna start a "PRE ORDER BAN" thread Unless someone beats me too it!

I think it will make the community safer from preying minds! Not to say the op is full of it... Just saying!

1463  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Batch #3 Not selling as fast.... on: March 26, 2013, 12:24:51 AM
Honestly i knew i wasnt going to buy batch three the minute i heard of the hike!

@ $2500 i would have still bought!!!   @ $5500 - $6500: ---> Lots of people locked out!

---------------------------------------

Keep in mind BFL has left a stench that reeks industry wide and if that smell rubs off on you its gonna be really really hard to get it off!

Supply / Demand :  Raising your price is one thing! tripping .. is another! But we all understand the demand and supply chain..
It would just seem like they would do anything to avoid the BFL odor but maybe not!

Worse is the delay on batch 2!

When all we had was batch one .. All we could say about Avalon is that they delivered as promised and they have no digital karma demons chasing after them like BFL!

Fast Forward and now what we have of Avalon is a 3x price hike and a delay for batch 2 thats is for the lack of a better word "brutal" in its timing!

The same delay might yield catastrophic effects for batch 3 order!

Now if the sales for batch #3 were lackluster .. Then they are stuck with either using the $ they have to make more and mine so they can add to the assembly line or just "take a break" ...  and wait for demand to un-fizzle by which time other competitors my come raining in  ... BFL or otherwise!

One thing for sure !! Avalon is here! They have produced, they dialog and seem humble from what ive read in responses! I can only imagine the kind of patience needed to interact with the likes of the bat s*** crazy people like us.  <---- ( for that alone ty Avalon )

Keep in "mined" (<<-- lol) i was locked out because of the price hike and i have no orders on wait or other wise!

I think im one of many who have realized the GPU era is over and im looking to invest immediately and from that perspective there are a lot of us left holding wads of cash!

Considering when and if BFL launches and also the outfits that have not shown their hand ... its a no brainier that prices will drop alot! !!!!!!

So its crazy that they have left people that would other wise buy 1-2 ,
holding a big bag of cash to just sit and take a wif of the atmosphere!

People dont easily forget, BFL might as well be a curse word ...  They have tainted their brand, and their may never be a batch 2 or 3 in the eyes of their customers!

Something to keep in mind for companies looking to build assembly line with profits for batches that will never be because of the SMELL!!!

Wow they actually guessed the exact time i was gonna be hurling rubber penguins at my screen!

(disgruntled ex potential customer - locked out from price hike)

Besides the major gripe about the price hike. $6300!!!!! **** Gotta keep it 100!!! At least avalon came thru, ill give em that! I think batch two peeps got it worst.. the delay is at a critical time..

Can you IMAGINE a delay on batch 3!!!!

Ask anyone thats ever been struck by lightning if they feel safe?

You already know the answer and you dont even have to be struck by lightning!

Now the fact that they were struck by lightning only reaffirms the fact that the seatbelt, the bullet proof vest, the safe room , your armed guard, the pit bull in front of your home, the AK at your bedside and the standing army on your block does NOTHING when that meteor comes a knocking! All you can do  is prepare the dashcam and smile!!

Now say Cheese! and make sure you leave your bitcoins in plain sight!

Retrospect is the child of wisdom!! Sometime looking back at a situation you learn more from it than when it was actually happening!

Maybe BFL is doing some retrospecting of its own! I can only imagine the kind of critical reviews they are going to get even when and if they deliver!

They have tainted their brand ... regardless. Just my 2bits.. & i didnt even order from them! Im just replicating the sentiment of the people ive dialoged with ..
1467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: restore wallet.dat on: March 24, 2013, 04:25:21 AM
Man youre doing too much...

just install bitcoin let it sync .. do your transactions then turn it off and encrypt the wallet.dat with maybe --->>>  http://lrzip.kolivas.org/

Copy/move the wallet to a usb drive ..

Next time you want to use bitcoin.. First decrypt the wallet.dat and then turn on bitcoin and use it..

When done turn it off and encrypt the wallet.dat, and move or copy it to USB or secure location.

If youre that noid just move the wallet after encryption to a USB like mentioned and just put it back after you decrytpt the next time you use bitcoin.

Use one of these from each group in your pass:

Lowercase: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
 Uppercase: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
 Number: 1234567890
 Symbol: `~!@#$%^&*()-_=+\|[{]};:'",<.>/?

People are just not getting it!  its like people are selectively stupid! (I mean people in general not the op)
Guess we are all a lil slow about something but this kinda stuff is going over people head!!

Consider a company like  viber .com ... they are at first glance a company that provides an application you can use to make FREE calls and FREE txt with..

I did mention free right..  Now if you go to the web site and you can get past the FREE bit.. which by the way most people dont !!!

They dont get past the free!! If you mention free its like they instantly turn into dumb arse!!

Anyway if you get past the free.. you quickly realize there is no premium product .. They dont sell anything they simply give AWAY FREE calls and FREE txt!!

The same free calls you mobile carrier charges you... wait let me rephrase.. the same free calls/text your carrier arse rapes you for monthly to the tune of 80-90$ a month..

Nothing is for sale!!!

(Wait a minute!! How do they make money!!! )

They steal you contact book with all the emails of all your family and friends and colleagues and then they steal youre pictues document s and whatever-else is on your phone! then they play pin the tale on the database !

Did i mention the owner is an ex Israel military who used to own and operate iMESH which was too FREE and RIDDLED WITH SPYWARE and trojans just like its counterpart kaaza! So they were stealing your info then too!!!!

they then turn around and sell this info to data mining corps ( they mine too hahaha )

The data mining corps sell the same info to banks , insurance companys , your prospective employer , the government and god knows who else!

so when youre health insurance goes up you are not suspecting the grocery store discount card you use that tells them everything you buy !!

You dont associate that youre circle of friends (CONTACTs) is why you didnt get the bank loan for your business!!!!

Wake the F*** up people! When didnt get to bitcoin because we wanted another paypal or FREE under 10 dollar transactions or what ever dwalla is hawing!! They clearly wont delete or remove your data untill after they sell it to all their partners!!! even if you got to the "last step" in signup that REQUIREs your SSN you choose not to give it to them! They sell all your data except that!

Cyprus was a TEST!!!

They took 10% out of everyone's bank account for the bailout!(BASICALLY THEFT! )
 bitcoin soaaard!!

They are coming for Spain , Argentina , Italy not just Cyprus!! god knows whos next  ... look at the downloads for bitcoin clients in those regions!!

The more the bankers and the governments and .... for the purpose of this conversation lets call them "they".

They more "they" screw us the more btc rises!! I dunno if you have been keeping up with the news world wide but??

What the F*** you think is about to happen??? Ask yourself if you suddenly have become familiar and intimate with these words-----> "osterity measures, sequester, bailout!!! now ask youreself when was the last time you heard these words in a good light.. ------>>>> Federal Reserve, European Central Bank, Bank of England!!!

and now you know why we are all here and why it wont go below $40.

Nobody likes the P word around here and everyone got to the point on the dolla signup where they asked for your SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER and then said ah no thanks!!! Then they realized dolla just took all your information and wont close or delete youre account !!

Thats how we got to BITCOIN!!
1472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You can not cancel a order at Butterfly Labs on: March 24, 2013, 01:52:03 AM
Man i wish i would have snap shot it but yesterday day AVALON had a page right when you clicked the available /not available button that said a bug or a bitcoin bug could render the miner USELESS and to buy at your own risk!!!

Now imagine all these people who are at riot level receiving boxes with bad chips or bad firmware or BOTH!!! Its one thing to have taken youre $ and SCREWED YOU! But its another if they took your money screwed you with a obnoxious delay that greatly reduced the value of your ordered product only to delivery a buggy device that doesnt work well ... carrys a WARRANTY that if you USE??? YOU GO BACK TO THE END OF THE QUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I send you a bad device and if you want to return it there is 9 MONTH WAITING PERIOD!! Omg... im soooooo in the wrong business!!

This is almost better than imaginary toll booths!!!

The atmosphere is not palatable.. Its crook like and the stigma will remain like a bad stench and follow BFL even if they delivered TODAY!

Avalon may have just stepped off a cliff to a lot of people but what you cant see is the analytics or the demand that fueled the decision! Its not difficult to ponder the fact that if your not significantly backed and dont have the capitol, connect or maybe you cant put up the assembly line so to speak then you better grab as much $$$ as you can before some serious players like AMD or some other giant comes and flicks you like bug.

China connect or not Avalon seems to be building to order and the demand vs the man power they have might be the reason for the sharp spike in cost! @ $1400 they were making a profit and loved it!! Then they realized that since BFL was not stepping up or cant step up the demand vs the output ratio was just not gonna work at $1400..

They would need to invest in infrastructure and hire a crap load of people and deal with the shortcomings that come along with mass fabrication ... they would turn into BFL!!! Not to say that BFL is real or that they even have a product (im sure they got somethin). Im just saying..avalon  may have raised the price not because they were greedy but because they cant keep up with the demand!!!

when the news gets out about the cash withdrawal restrictions and reduced hours coming to US banks... Soaaaaaar!!!

1477  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is out of control, soaring 57% this week on: March 23, 2013, 08:35:44 AM
Think it just burst .. was at about 73 -74 yesterday and now its at about 63.. maybe the whole money laundering association by US..
Im not to worried about the burst tho, according to Cyprus when the banks screw people bitcoin goes up!! The world is going nuts right now and people, banks , governments and even brothaman from the 5th floor are bound to add fuel to the fiya!
