man i gathered 6k overnight only to brick walled by daily deposit limit! Coinbase is saying 30 days! bit instant is 2k limit or something! Im so frustrated right now! Sad
1442  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who ordered batch #3 Avalon ? on: March 26, 2013, 07:21:02 PM
Wait a minute.. when you guys say Chinese can wire transfer you mean people in china right!

Cause i got alot of Chinese homies i can ring up! lulz..

----

So not doing 16 transfers from 4 people or whatever... that looks like a recipe to loose a crap load of BTC
1443  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who ordered batch #3 Avalon ? on: March 26, 2013, 06:31:36 PM
Wonder if they do direct wire tranfer! im coordinating a buy but i dunt think ill make it if i have to deal with btc deposit limits..  coinbase wants verification of 30days,  bit instant has a limit too i think . errrr  gotta wait till a few hours anyway for the last 2k anyway but once i have it in my acc.. still got hurdles!

I think the Chinese buyers can use wire transfer, sure HorseRider posted he did it that way. The rest of the world is BTC only, I'm in the same boat have the money to buy one.

Thats sucks! Unbelievably! Its hard enough just trying to coordinate getting cash together from multiple sources only to meet a brick wall and 1k daily deposit limits and what not! Bit FAIL!!

If anyone can tell me a the fastest way to move USD from a US bank to BTC so i can pony up.. Is there no same day service.. for $6k to btc !!

No problem man.. Sometimes what people dont get is they are paying for your experience, along with your time and skill!
I know consultants who rake in big bucks to uhmmm "consult"!  I have a friend who's a senior level network admin for a huge real estate outfit and he was telling me they pay around 8k a month for maintenance & management for a custom site. He was laughing at me when i was telling him i charge $50-150 a month for hosting / site dev/maintenance!

If people are complaining at your price point.. youre talking to the wrong people! Chances are they arent ready to make a commitment cash or otherwise and they will most likely produce a most uncomfortable look on their face when you ask them for a privacy policy or a mission statement, their target audience or even if they have a financial forecast or a road-map!

They just look at you like (You mean 10 minutes and a 45$ template doesnt buy me a fortune 500 company)?

lolz!! Keep in mind i havent even seen your work man!! I just happened to be up late night trying to organize an Avalon purchase and was wading through the services section... anyway good luck!

Go BITCOIN!!!!

exactly official list would be nice! Im trying to coordinate a purchase and i hear there is a customs issue! ?
might not even matter for me i have to wait till the am to do a cash drop..
1447  Economy / Services / Re: Web Site Starter Package on: March 26, 2013, 11:08:00 AM
He is cheap! I start@ 1k setup fee 600 yr @  for base config !  You want wordpress, shopping cart , auto shipping calculations, digital downloads, newsletter, blog, custom Design, content management, member zones, affiliate/partner program, seo services... yada yada yada

guess for your 10 minutes and a 45$ template you can maybe convince yourself to walk with a limp but after looking around and a few seconds you will want to just let someone ele do it so you can fixate on sales.. People dont wanna learn html /css or php or deal with apache.. they are happy to learn to install a wordpress plugin!

Most people arent looking for 1.99$ hosting and every unlimited feature known to mankind.. They want something thats well designed, is functional, scalable, cross platform, and is ready right away!! (haha)  Most of all they will pay for someone else to do it!!!! If you mix in other services you can play to a niche market and offer bundled services and it will make you very appealing... Maybe not to the people here but trust me.. he's cheap!

Good luck velacreations!!!

I just realized that I forgot to link the cache URL: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:2L1pHAjHrm0J:www.linkedin.com/in/maxavroutski+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

Now search both LinkedIn pages (current and cache) for the terms Galaxy and Education, and see what you find. Search each term individually, and not at the same time.

Current: http://www.linkedin.com/in/MaxAvroutski

oh cmon its "American Education" they dont teach cache..

lulz

here we have :

Cash withdraws
Cash Limits
or Cash withdraw limits
Cash Sequester
Cash Outta yo pocket!

and Cash be gone!

They dunt mention cache anywhere..

All the google graduates to the front of the line! The education on the internet is much better! Some of them have figured out sometimes cache might save you CASH!!!!!

PRE-ORDERS OF ANY KIND SHOULD BE BANNED! NO PRODUCT NO CASH!~ OR IN OUR CASE NO COINS..

------------------------------------------------

While I agree with the sentiment, and I agree that people should be warned against pre-ordering promises from people who have shown no track record of delivery, I'm not sure about using the ban hammer.

Then again, this ain't kickstarter, so maybe, as I said above only half in jest, "GH/s or gtfo" is an option.

Ultimately I think it's up to the community to self-enforce.  If people stopped throwing coins at every scam that came along promising rainbows and unicorns and untold riches, the scams would go away (or at least, slow down).

This is a tough one, and this certainly isn't the thread to continue this line of discussion - sounds like it belongs in the Meta board.

Indeed its a sentiment, and not a perfect plan but a dialog is needed for sure! In essence your right the dialog should probably be elsewhere but no better place to SELF-ENFORCE then at the source of potential abuse!

Untill our community leaders pull rank then tomatoes will be thrown here or not! The stench BFL has left will not be easily dismissed ... if it smells like **** then it probably is!  No need to put it in a corner and see if we can still smell it!

lol@this aint kickstarter!

1459  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: -= Galaxy 1 - 20nm ASIC Announcement =- on: March 26, 2013, 02:00:04 AM
^^ i disagree. There is nothing at all remotely "business as usually" for anything bitcoin related.

We need to hold accountable company's looking to place a foothold in the community ...

If this was your community would you let GalaxyAsic plaster ads all over the community and take "pre-orders" to the tune of (fill in obnoxious amount here) and then just cross your fingers and hope they dont take advantage of the entire community at large?

Would you wait 1 year after that to determine 1/2 of your community has been robbed and you HELPED!?

Would you after realizing the error of your ways allow a third and 4th and 5th company to take advantage of your userbase knowing what you know now!   (crickets)

Seems we should be Asking our community leaders to look into moderated company announcements with a show and tell or go home attitude.

These people are not EVGA and have 0 track record and should be treated as such!

You get a fortune 500 company with a track record and a commitment to customer support and timely announcements then we can talk about it.

Untill then...

PRE-ORDERS OF ANY KIND SHOULD BE BANNED! NO PRODUCT NO CASH!~ OR IN OUR CASE NO COINS..
