Just a quick question, is there a block solver's reward on multipool? I've mined there for a few months but haven't bothered to ask before.

Aww I would have bought a couple until I noticed how much it costs to ship to Canada, $35 worth I think not!
1883  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB ASIC ERUPTER - Setup & Config. BCG Miner, cgminer & Hubs "Oh Pi"! on: July 28, 2013, 02:41:11 AM
Can USB block erupters be plugged directly into the R Pi? I'm integrated in making one to run a solo USB, just for fun mostly.

1887  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: help setting up dual 6870 miner. on: July 04, 2013, 03:41:05 PM
They aren't in crossfire mode are they? That might mess with CGMiner.
1888  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: help setting up dual 6870 miner. on: July 04, 2013, 02:36:26 AM
Have you installed the latest AMD drivers? Are they both plugged into monitors? For Windows to recognize them they both need to be plugged in, or have "dummy plugs".
1889  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: July 04, 2013, 02:34:44 AM
Well, I think when the amount of bitcoins being generated starts going down, price will go up. I don't know if we'll see it during our lifetime, because I think the last coins will be generated by the year 21xx or something around there. So my thinking is that with less bitcoins hitting the market, and people wanting to buy them, the price can go up. Maybe my logic is flawed though, feel free to reply and tell me why it's wrong, I'd appreciate to learn something today. Wink
1890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MultiCoin][Stratum+GW] multipool.in - Always mine the most profitable coin on: July 03, 2013, 04:13:33 AM
Hope the site comes back soon, even though the shares are being counted I'm a stats freak, and don't want to check to make sure my computer is still mining every hour. (Installed a new GPU today to mine with, finding it's perfect mining configs, includes some crashing Wink )
1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Configuring a 7850 & 7950 to mine together on: July 03, 2013, 12:32:25 AM
I have those two cards in one rig here is my bat file

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
cgminer.exe --gpu-platform 0 --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.give-me-ltc.com:3333 -u username -p password -I 20,19 --lookup-gap 2,2 --thread-concurrency 20480,10192 --worksize 256,256 --shaders 1792 --gpu-engine 1110,1110 --gpu-memclock 1500,1440 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --auto-fan --temp-target 82,79 --temp-hysteresis 2

with this setup I get 1050kh/s on average

btw why you typed in your settings username and password two times??
Thanks for the config, I'll have to try it out. I currently have both of them running together for 950KH/s. May I ask which card is the 7850? It's the one with intensity as 19, correct?

Thanks so much for the config! As for the username and password x2 thing, I thought it was needed for some reason, not sure why though.  Huh
1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Configuring a 7850 & 7950 to mine together on: July 02, 2013, 10:28:28 PM
Hey everyone, I'm using CGMiner to try and get both my 7850 and 7950 to mine together, with different settings.

Here is my config this far:
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://multipool.in:3334 -u USERNAME,USERNAME -p PASSWORD,PASSWORD -d 0 -d 1 --intensity 17,18 -g 1,1 --thread-concurrency 8192,17000 -w 384,384 --lookup-gap 2,2

Do you know what I'm doing wrong here? When I start the batch CGMiner sets the allocation to 100% then closes right away. Any help will be much appreciated!
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying a 7850 for $140 for mining - worth it? on: June 28, 2013, 03:23:33 AM
If you get warranty with the card take it, make some money with it and sell it if you want  Smiley

Can you share your clock and miner settings if it isn't a secret?
Sure, here are my settings for 400KH/s:

Batch file to start CGMiner:
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://multipool.in:3334 -u lolnope.jpg -p lolnope.jpg --intensity 17 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 8192 -w 384 --lookup-gap 2

And for the overclock:
Core clock: 1150 MHz
Memory Clock: 1650 MHz
Voltage: 1.225V

I wouldn't feel safe running those volts 24/7 but with that it does hit 400KH/s.
1894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Buying a 7850 for $140 for mining - worth it? on: June 27, 2013, 06:29:52 PM
Hi, I currently have a mining rig with an ASUS 7850 2GB doing about 400KH/s in LTC mining. I've found someone willing to sell their exact same card for $150 locally, and I'm hoping to get the price down to $140. The card is basically brand new, it's been mined on for a week, but he says he can't figure out the right configs/OCes to make it worth mining with. I recently figured out how to get mine to do 400KH/s overclocked, or 300KH/s on stock.

So what do you think, would it be worth it to buy it and mine with it? I know it's a very good price for a brand new basically ASUS 7850 2 GB, and I can always crossfire them in games too if I feel like playing ever (even though Xfire isn't really working correctly ATM)

I also figure that I can mine with it for a few months over the summer and then sell it before the 8xxx series releases in September - hopefully make some money as well as sell the card for a fair price.

What do you guys think about all of this? Would you take the plunge?
1895  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recieved 50GH BFL Single Today! on: June 19, 2013, 08:02:29 PM
Ah good grief. It's really funny to see how BFL conducts business, and since I don't have a BFL preorder I can chirp them all I want!

Guess I can start a business, if you have a BFL preorder and want to voice your opinion PM me, and I'll make the message anonymously public.

But good riddance BFL! Ya bunch of f*ckers! Your PR is a joke and clearly your company is too! You're a year behind on pre-orders, get real you idiots! Now you're debating your shitty business with customers and cancelling their pre-orders for voicing their concerns? Get off your high horse!
1896  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: If Bitcoin dies... what could I do with 50 GPUs? on: June 16, 2013, 02:58:01 PM
You can use them for Folding@Home - protein simulation to try and find cures for diseases.

But if I were you I'd sell the cards, all of them except for maybe 2 or three to have an awesome gaming machine with.

Well I removed GUIMiner and am now using CGMiner, and holy lawdy it's so much better! I love the stats that CGMiner shows you, I'm a stats person. Smiley

I can't seem to connect to the pool no matter what I do.

Add new workers, delete others, reinstall the program.

May be time to switch pools...
1899  Bitcoin / Mining / Buying 1 out of 10 Jupiter Shares on: June 11, 2013, 12:08:09 AM
Hello all,

It appears that my local area may be arranging a group buy for a KNC Jupiter, in the end each share will cost around $700. The person who is organizing it is planning to payout once a week, and take power costs off of the payment before sending it.

Would it make sense to you guys to be buying basically 35GH/s or more, probably up to 45GH/s for $700?
1900  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 7970 hashrate issues on: May 23, 2013, 12:42:55 AM
How did you get your 7850 core to 1175MHz? MSi Afterburner will only allow mine up to 1050MHz. It's totally stable 24/7 at this speed, and only 68c in temperature, with the fan at 74%.

I'd love to push it higher though, somehow.
Sapphire Trixx has unlocked overclocking. It voids warranty, but allows for much higher overclocks and voltage adjustments. I'm also using the newest AMD drivers I think for that GPU.
