Not sure if anyone are still around or how this all saga worked out in the end, however I just received a message from cryptsysettlement.com that I can file for compensation.
I do not know how much and what coins I had with them but I still have all of my ADT somewhere in wallets in the hundreds of millions as I remember I could not get them swapped or traded due to issues with Cryptsy.

I am quite sure in todays' value if I were able to swap them at the time I wanted, I would be rich.

Would I be able to file for compensation?

lots of us got totally screwed with cryptsy i took a long ass break from everything

My newest transaction has 5225 confirmations, so at least 5225 blocks at the tip were generated by others.

Did the blockchain ever get extended beyond this point?
