let us know how the update goes it seems to work for me except I get no connections anymore.

Wallet sync and staking.  Closed down the wallet and was able to sync again on opening.  Only three connections though so will have to see how it goes with the staking.  So far so good...

-tb-

I believe there was some mention of fixing a bug that caused the wallet to try to stake in the middle of syncing, but try this in your conf anyway:

reservebalance=999999999

Or cmdline:  -reservebalance=999999999

This will reserve 999999999 ADT, to NOT stake, so unless your balance is higher than this it will effectively disable staking.

Once synced, you can re-enable staking by entering reservebalance false into the debug console.

If your wallet is encrypted, then you won't need to do this.  I just leave mine locked until it finish syncing.  But yeah, try it if your wallet is not encrypted.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Fixed that by adding in collususcoin's fix Wink

Do you have a link to the fix? I look after another coin and I seem to remember some sort of IsInitialSync flag (or similar) which prevented staking, but that part of the source hasn't changed for a good year. Does the fix go further or did ADT simply not have this conditional in the first place?

Still sync and staking.  We might have a winner!!

Ahmed, thanks.

Now everyone needs to open support ticket with cryptsy and have them update.

Just FYI to any future developers or community discussion, as long as that style of patch to prevent staking is active PoW must always be kept active as a fallback. It's way too easy to attack and seize PoS on the whole network either purposely or accidentally through crosstalk if another coin uses the same pchMessageStart.

Proof of Stake time will be 15 days ( every 21600 blocks )

Does it mean I have to wait 15 days for the first PoS payout or I misunderstand smthng?

Where has Zack been the last few days?
Maybe in toilet, or maybe with his girl, or maybe shopping, or maybe on a vacation... as always. Maybe suicide. Joke.

15 days for the first PoS payout. (This time starts from the day you transferred the coins into your wallet)

I see. And how often after the first payout will I get payouts? Right now I can see that either nobody's staking, or the payouts are appearing very infrequently. If it's the second then maybe we should change the PoS algorythm so the network become more-less alive?

That was what the hard fork was for. However since e.exchanger never turned up with any code i cant implement what he did and i'd rather not do it myself as im not used to PoS coins. (I've only ever made PoW coins, ADTv2 was my first PoS one) Maybe someone can ask Tranz or another dev to implement it

ADT has been in the throes of death for literally months, so you can't really expect things to suddenly spring back to life only a day or two after the main issue has been fixed. Cryptsy won't let you deposit or withdraw ADT right now which is also going to affect the coin. Give it time. Smiley

Changes in PoS algo is a certain movement for this coin, because 2 blocks for the entire day is awful!  Angry

almightyruler, sure I'll wait and watch. Somethings tells me that this one will be brought back to life  Smiley

I'm sure a lot of People have their coins stuck in cryptsy so thats probably another reason not many coins are staking.

sorry guys I have been away from the internet for a few days I will be contacting ahmed and finding out what he has done as it would be better to get e.exchangers patch finished so that the POS reward gets changed than to keep the current POS settings

the reason the blocks have been slow is due to me slowing down the pow miner I had on it so that we could keep the hardfork at block 100,000
