Martians Might Be Real. That Makes Mars Exploration Way More Complicated

One day, while comparing different satellite images of a single Martian crater taken at various times of year, he noticed something odd: a set of dark streaks in the soil that grew in the Martian summer and shrank in the winter. They seemed to flow down the crater's slope, like a spill.

It took NASA a few years to gather more evidence after the student made his report, but finally, in September of 2015, the agency called a big press conference. It confirmed what the undergraduate had suspected almost right away: That was water in that crater.

Back in the 1970s, NASA scientists had informed everyone that the Red Planet was a dry, barren, dead place. Whoops. Now a new generation of NASA scientists were on a dais in Washington, DC, musing openly about what this new finding meant for the odds of discovering life on Mars. "When you look at Earth, everywhere we go where there's liquid water," said Jim Green, the agency's director of planetary science, "we find life." And the Martian water wasn't confined to that one crater wall. Once scientists knew what to look for, they found similar dark streaks at more than a dozen other sites. The agency's Curiosity rover was actually within striking distance of a few of these streaks. "We might be able to visit," Green said. The announcement made headlines around the world. It also set off a bunch of quiet changes within the space agency itself.

How as an individual can I know if the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc? What experiment can I do that doesn't involve trusting information from a 3rd party that would prove what the geometry really is?

If, as we are taught in school, that earth is a ball that is 25,000 miles in circumference at the equator, then the spherical trigonometry to calculate the curvature of said ball is 8 inches per mile, times the mileage squared.

So...

1 mile = 8 x 1 = 8 inches of curvature
2 miles = 8 x 4 (2x2) = 32
3 miles = 8 x 9 (3x3) = 72
4 miles = 8 x 16 (4x4) = 128
5 miles = 8 x 25 (5x5) = 200

10 miles = 8 x 100 (10x10) = 800
20 miles = 8 x 400 (20x20) = 3200
30 miles = 8 x 900 (30x30) = 7200
40 miles = 8 x 1600 (40x40) = 12800
50 miles = 8 x 2500 (50x50) = 20000
60 miles = 8 x 3600 (60x60) = 28800

At 60 miles, the earth's curvature is supposed to be 28,800 inches, or 2400 feet.

The Statue of Isis (oops, I mean Liberty) in Jew York City is 305 feet tall, and yet it can be seen from sea at a distance of 60 miles.

The Statue of Liberty should be well over 2000 feet below the supposed curvature, yet it can still be seen from 60 miles away.

How is that possible?

Because there IS NO CURVATURE, that's how. THE EARTH IS FLAT.

It's called "SEA LEVEL", and not "SEA CURVE" for a reason  Wink

They have TV on ships. You can see the Statue of Liberty on TV from anywhere in the world. But you can't see it directly from 60 miles. If this happened even one time, it was simply atmospheric aberration because of some strange atmospheric condition. At 60 miles, besides the Statue being such a tiny speck that you would need a telescope, it is entirely below the horizon. You can't see it.

Fuck you and your ship's TV.

And fuck your parroting of the bullshit "mirage" excuse.

Oh right, that's why you can see the entire Chicago skyline from Michigan, 60 miles away. It's a MIRAGE.

Ya, fuck right off. Keep believing the bullshit, pal.

From http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/north-america/united-states/new-york/articles/Statue-of-Liberty-50-fascinating-facts/:
Quote
38. The statue functioned as a lighthouse for 16 years (1886-1902), lighting a distance of up to 24 miles away.

And so it serving as a lighthouse for 16 years means what? Lighting a distance from 24 miles away means what?

Nothing.

Thanks for your lame input.

Now run along and go watch your ship's TV. Maybe Sesame Street is on.

PS; when you have a minute, maybe you can tell us when it is that sea level stops being sea level, and changes to sea curve? Thanks, we'll wait.

I live near Chicago and have been to the Michigan shores several times.  If you attempt to view Chicago's skyline from Michigan's shores, sometimes you won't see the skyline at all and sometimes you will see it to varying degrees.  The apparent height of the skyline changes with atmospheric conditions.  People have taken photos of the skyline from identical locations and the apparent height of the skyline changes, hence this is a result of atmospheric refraction.

Anybody who places a dish of "flat" water in an electron microscope, and looks at the water at the 'scope's highest magnification, can see that the water isn't flat. All the bumps of the molecules of water are shown, even if they are rather unclear.

The point? The term "sea level" doesn't have to do with how level the water is. It has to do with the height of the water, like the water level in your sink while you are washing the dishes. Any joker who wants to apply this term to the idea of no curvature, has either been duped, or is trying to dupe others.

Nice try but it's refraction that prevents one from seeing Chicago sometimes.

First it was a mirage and now it's atmospheric refraction. What's next, are you guys going to claim it was space aliens from outer-space with their holographic projector?

Mirages are caused by atmospheric refraction.  They're not different explanations.  You probably shouldn't comment about either one if you don't understand their relation.  You might want to ask questions instead of making untrue claims that you know you don't know and don't understand (like the claim about refraction obscuring the skyline that you pulled out of your rear).  Temperature gradients help determine the degree of refraction. Can you tell me the conditions by which refraction over a body of water would obfuscate the skyline?

Okay, somebody took a video, added his own music and wording, and acted like NASA was hoaxing people.

How silly can you get? You want evidence of a NASA hoax, and these movie people who are there for their own purposes, are recorded and shown as though they were making a hoax.

Rather, it is you believing a flat earth hoax.

I don't know that NASA DIDN'T hoax people just like this guy said they did. But placing a video up on Youtube isn't proof. Many good Youtube videos are complete manipulations, done by a capable editor. However, all the Youtube videos in the world aren't proof of a flat earth. Proof takes a lot more than that.

There's 2120 vids that come up on a YouTube search for 'Mars Mission Devon Island', but none of the space-ballers here will accept any evidence that's contrary to the lies that they've been programmed and conditioned, over their entire lifetimes, to unquestioningly accept as truth...Cognitive dissonance is an amazing (de)motivator...

They'd rather look shit up on jewikipedia, NASA website, Discovery Channel, telegraph.uk, CNN, etc. and beLIEve in the bullshit luciferian masonic narrative, parroting the lies that they have been programmed to beLIEve, because it's comfortable for them and because it's all they can, and will ever, know; a big ball of bullshit and fuck all...It's kinda sad, actually...ah, fuck them anyway  Cheesy

It's easier to fool someone than it is to convince them that they've been fooled.
