^^^ It's funny how this globohomo can't understand the optical effects of perspective and convergence when he needs a boat to sail up, over and behind the curve. However, when he needs to explain crepuscular he claims perspective is the sole cause and that flat earthers don't understand science.

I am perfectly aware of how you explain the disappearance of objects behind the horizon as the result of perspective and refraction. However, both know that a person who claims that crepuscular rays can't be made by a distant light source doesn't understand the science.

Very well said, optical effects only exist when he wants them to.

^^^ Convergence doesn't splay vertical lines, if the Sun is overhead shining down the rays are not going to be affected by convergence, that is unless they're coming from a sunset with the Sun a low angle.

In your example using an image of parallel tree trunks, you take a side view then show a 2nd view with the camera rotated 90 degrees pointed up. The fucking tree trunks are no longer vertical, you've changed the perspective so they're all horizontal with respect to the camera you deceptive faggot. The images of crepuscular rays posted above all have a horizontal view, the camera isn't pointed up.

I'm not cherry-picking optical effects here, you guys claiming we're on a globe are deceptive faggots.

You seem to forget that there are multitudes of sun positions other than overhead and sunset. If the sun is as close as you say, its size would appear dramatically different to a person viewing it overhead, and someone viewing it from, say 4 thousand miles away.

What are the Light Beams Coming from Clouds Called?
Rays of light can change direction when they encounter small particles suspended in the atmosphere. This changing of directions is called scattering. A cloud between you and the sun can block some but not all of the sun’s light. The darker regions are the shadowed area of the cloud. Where the light peeks through the object, scattering illuminates its path from the sun to your eyes. This creates beams in the sky.

These beams appear to converge toward the sun but this is an illusion, similar to the impression that the rails on train tracks appear to come together in the distance.

The gravity of the situation is that you will soon be pulled into your grave by your density. Cheesy

^^^ Well it's a good thing I used the shadow cast by a hot air balloon to prove my point [that the suns rays are divergent and cast by a small close source], your pre-programmed NPC-esque rebuttal doesn't address this situation. You look like a massive fool retreating to the safety of the non-sequitur argument of trying to explain away crepuscular rays with perspective when convergence doesn't splay vertical lines. You're trying debunk the size of a shadow with not only the wrong argument but one that's provably false, because you have no argument.

^^^ Don't you ever get concerned that you'll sail up, over and off the curve into the great abyss with all your oil?

You know, Columbus almost had mutiny when his crew who believed the church propaganda regarding the Earth being a globe thought they'd sail off the side! Fortunately he was able to convince them the ocean doesn't curve and there was no danger of falling off

The moral of the story here is that you're an idiot who spent 7 years at sea and never learned how a sextant works, oblivious to the fact that water is always flat and level. GG mate.

LOL! You use all kinds of funny language, to hide the simple fact, that you ignored the reason I gave for the scattered rays. Here it is again: "Rays of light can change direction when they encounter small particles suspended in the atmosphere. This changing of directions is called scattering," from http://wxguys.ssec.wisc.edu/2011/06/05/what-are-the-light-beams-coming-from-clouds-called/. The only complex thing that they didn't state about it is Bernoulli's principle.

So, the fact of the divergence of rays, doesn't have anything to do with what you are talking about.

Since you use wrong reasoning for FE, even if the earth were flat, nobody could tell it from what you say.

In addition, Australia is not about twice the size as the U.S. They are about the same size... land area. So, anyone can see that the map is either simply wrong, or it was only a general representation.

I don't think anyone living in Australia could agree that their country is shaped like this:

Also, look at the distances on your map. It says that the distance from Melbourne to Perth is 1800 miles but the apparently shorter distance to Darwin is 2000 miles. Either something is wrong with that map, or people in Australia just don't know how to measure distance.

In addition, I think South Africans would be shocked to find out that their country is really shaped like this:

And even more shocked to discover the size of their country is comparable to the size of western Europe:

I wish the map included the southern portion of South America. That would really open some eyes.

There are several reasons for this topic:
1. To see how many people think that fake news - or in this case fake science - is real;
2. To see how many people think that it is important enough to answer;
3. To see how many new people can be dragged into doubt about something that is well known;
4. To test statistics about how many people login and fight a stupid captcha just to post here;
5. To test the logic of people in general - we know the earth is a globe, but who can answer the fact really logically;
6. To see how many people can remain on-topic;
7. To play the game of looking frustrated (notbatman), while really only acting, so that the responses can be evaluated from the standpoint of the lie of the acting;
8. To see how long the thread can go, and how big it can become, over something as silly as FE;
9. Statistical analysis of the written posts... nbm spends a lot of time away from the thread. He is probably compiling the posts into a database offsite, and partners are analyzing responses to get a general feel for the kind of people who post to this thread... for psychological purposes.

There are more. But you get the idea. Besides, it is kinda fun playing like nbm is really funny farm material.

YouTube just told everybody who searches "flat earth" to fuck off, it no longer sorts flat earth videos! I get the same list of hand picked bullshit MSM hit-piece videos no matter what. To get around their fucked up list of videos I would sort them by last hour, today, this week, etc.. but now the sort feature doesn't work anymore.

The folks claiming we're on a globe are losing the argument so badly they have to get YouTube to censor both recommendations and now the ability to sort and filter flat earth content. You get their list of shitty hand picked videos no matter what you search.

The fact the globalist have to use dirty tactics like censorship, modified search results and spamming channels to death with false copyright claims is just more proof they're fucking liars, brainwashed morons and cucks. The truth doesn't require protection from criticism!

^^^ People are looking for reality and for fun. The FE fad was fun for a while. But isn't it about time that we continue on to other fads?

When a fad like FE starts to get promoters who are angry at the world, and who want to kill people - like you have constantly expressed... "go hang yourself" - isn't it time to move on to something else just to remain peaceful? That's all that Youtube and others are doing.

If FE couldn't be proven wrong, things would be different. But you can't answer the points that I make without going off the deep end into some kind of fantasy. And there are others who make similar points that you can't answer.

FE is a cult for you. But if it isn't, you are simply playing with the minds of people to see what kinds of results you can get... just for fun. It's getting a little old.

What you should do is this. Start your own FE video site. Then, simply advertise the site in Youtube and other places. If you do this, you can block GE as much as you want, so that your site remains pure FE. If anybody is interested in playing the "fight" game with you, they will start their own site to answer your silliness.
