this coin can take much more than 1000%   Cheesy

Fancy seeing you here  Cheesy XBC is worth the money just for entertainment value alone. Though creating 14k or so in the swap was really something else, another XBC 1st.

As for 1000%+ ... well yeah .. it's XBC after all. Selling 10% in a 10x pump is sort a tradition no? Then we rebuy lower and so on .... Not sure why I moved all coins off Polo, always had 10% in balance there.

Correction 2669 XBC .. odd, was sure it was more this morning when it synced up and went into stake. Shut it down before all went, in case Polo opened deposits.

Coinmarket Cat prowls once again.

Varvarin dont attempt to send any coins to or from your wallet. The wallet is being modified to interface with an upgraded more scalable network.Any staked coins on the old network/wallet are no longer valid.Just keep your balance intact until the work is finished.

Hello bhokor and thank you for your comments.Yes the blockexplorer is stuck as a hardfork has just been completed and new wallets are being tested. We will be looking at some new ideas regarding mining pools now that XBC protocol is now changed however we may have a surprise in store for those who would like to mine XBC without the need for a mining pool.  Smiley

Hi neo1947

Only coins staked since the blockchain downtime began and during the course of this current work will be affected. The staked coins you have up to that point are valid.

..
Varvarin the 14k is what makes xbc sustainable and pays its bills. The staking wallet belongs to nobody except the project itself.

Remember the original developer(s)took every single cent and left nothing to maintain or develop the coin. There is no point even going to what type of other mess that was left as the list is comprehensive to say the least but thankfully now we have some reliable people around only interested in building something useful and sustainable that serves the community and not themselves.

By the way I commend you on all the hard work you do on behalf of emc2 community and always respect your opinion on the trollbox not to mention the fact you are a much large xbc holder than myself.

Did get in touch to find out what happened with the additional coins ... after I bought a bunch of them. I was online when the swap happened and price just went to 20k .. like someone had spare 14k XBC ... hehehe. Actually did the maths when I saw the number and put my buy orders at 20k when it was 100k, it peaked .. had 50 on sale for 0.1btc, so 200k sats I guess.

Lets say it was predictable and not exactly well done, however, I can't really complain about buying cheap .. even if I can't sell any to play. Just throwing BTC into coins is not fun, need a reason to keep doing it  Wink

Thanks for the EMC2 vote, appreciated. Likewise for XBC, it still has the right ingredients for glory after 2014 IPO King. - I didn't keep topping up my staking wallet all this time for no reason, hehe.
_________

I've actually been thinking about the name for a long time, XBC is like the best ticker ever, but BitcoinPlus has really fallen out of fashion. Given the current fashion for changing names pretty much kicked off by PimpCash, now DogeDark is Verge - doubled today from a 500% rise - ... not sure which is worse (DOGE is great tho - 3 stages of Doge - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=361813.msg13853175#msg13853175).

Perhaps start thinking about a name change to go with hard fork and new wallets?

Bitcoin+/Bitcoinplus is a great name. Do not change the name.

It has many uses .. really does in trollbox. It's like Bitcoin but better.

I don't think the name needs to be changed either.  XBC-BitcoinPlus is a classic.

Varvarin not 1 single coin was sold at that time so it must have been a bagholder suppressing the price for some reason. The whole 14k went straight into staking locked down by poloniex. Also all outstanding valid claims for coins by those who neglected to send them to poloniex before the deadline were hounoured also depleting the fund further. We are still yet to stake back to the original level.

No coins were sold to raise funds during the last update as the buy support was pulled the moment we released it leaving us with no opportunity to do so even if we voted to sell some off for some development down the line.

Maintainance was funded by team members and some staked coins from the fund but that is about it.

They are setting up some other stuff today afaik and some team members are testing transactions to see how the chain is moving etc.The new wallet templates look good so a decision will be made on which one to use maybe today.

The dispersal of staking coins is being looked at for network strength and it looks like there are only a few bagholders with more than 500 coins who have them either on poloniex or staking but most of the coins are held on poloniex with a lot of of people there having smaller balances that in reality would be better off in their wallets staking and helping the network as small balances on more wallets are better than larger ones on a few wallets etc but hopefully now the community fund will be dispersed among more wallets for staking on vps etc.

The large poloniex traders wallet balance hopefully will be smaller if people stake their coins and the community balance should be broken up a bit after this if I understand correctly.

We are working on some new ways to break up the community fund into multiple staking wallets.

Even though the blockchain is moving again you are reminded not to use your current wallets.New wallets will be provided so keep your backup safe. This will be a mandatory update to a new wallet.
