His enthusiasm for Crypto and especially XBC is second to none.

Not this end. Both 24/7 Nodes up and running with 20+ connections. I've just started my personal wallet and it connected straight away.
Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for it to find connections.

Was it working previously ? In which case could simply be a firewall issue ?

If not couple of things you can try. Make sure you have up to date nodes listed.

Failing that, you may need to delete the block chain file to get it restarted. I haven't done a blog post for that part yet but this site covers the basics.

Sometimes you can just remove wallet.dat from the executables(Just drag it onto your desktop)and restart the wallet and if it connects then delete the wallet.dat that was generated during restart and drop back in the original one from your desktop and it usually continues as normal from there.Tor is making the starting process longer especially if you have a slow connection.

XBC is a good coin, now the volume is decent, people should trade more otfen so that we can be listed there. Poloniex usually delists some inactive coins with low volumes, so do more trading, let us survive.

is this a dead coin?

Wallet works very well and is lightweight, low supply and market cap, is listed on polo, I would say it's just getting started. Lately we have been getting higher volume today for example doing 10% of market cap in volume. Thread is active daily and the devs respond to PM questions

Oh and also, new coins coming onto the market are next to nothing at the current prices and fairly evenly distributed among the people staking so there is not much downward pressure. IMO this coin looked like it could have been dead at one point but now more than ever is starting to show all the right signs of a strong future ahead. Staying on Poloniex is very important though obviously. I set up an account on that third exchange and will look at making a little market over there although I am not really interested in selling and I dont like sending btc to small exchanges. Well.. watch for my little market over there I guess

The more people trading and creating volume makes arbitrage a possibility so thats a good start.maybe others will do this and all three exchanges can have a healthy XBC market.
