I have downloaded a new wallet client from the link on the opening thread and unzipped and installed however I can't seem to find a connection.I have used the .conf also to no avail.I do notive some bandwidth being used while wallet is open without any connection with upload and download packet data being very active yet it shows no connections.

Debug shows some things:   "No valid UPnP IGDs found"   "ERROR: Proxy error: TTL expired"

tellitlikeitis did you get it working yet?sometimes it takes a while depending on your connection speeds

Leave it open for a while and it should get connections and sync without any need for changes and it should work fine without the .conf also

If you have an old wallet already installed it should integrate automatically with the executables already installed in the roaming file for that wallet and pick up where the last blockchain was stopped at but not 100% on that so there is no need to remove the old executable files for the last wallet because the new wallet should automatically update those with its own database.

Its just a matter of letting the wallet sort it out itself and it usually does in the end.

Can anyone tell me how to post a pic in this box? Thx.

You need the location of the picture you are trying to post so it has to be online because you cant upload anything afaik so go to where the picture is and hover over it and right click to open the option "copy location" then do that and paste the location onto the form here. Now left click and drag over it until it has the blue highlight and then hit the insert image tab

Was taking a screenshot of how nice the banner and wallet look for a friend and ... this worked out well  Grin

All cats support XBC!

Seriously though, very nice work with the wallet. Fast to sync as well, fast to move. Onwards! Just need to convince the whale that having 22k of 83k of a coin .. 26.5% on sale .. and a PoS coin no less is really not how PoS coins work best.

Coinmarket Cat prowls once again.

Varvarin is right about the dispersal issue and even a well dispersed sale by whales holding huge stacks would be welcome and do absolutely no harm for getting more wallets active on the network. The wallet has received many compliments from people who have never messaged us before so I guess there are a lot more people taking an interest in the XBC project.

Are the 22k listed on Poloniex mixed in the rich list? How does that work?

I think its impossible to get accurate data that correlates with each address to show exact balances due to POS sending coins from one address to another during staking etc.The poloniex total balance could be a number of the larger wallets on the blockchain and also where larger balances have been trasferred leaving residual data on the blockexplorer but maybe I am wrong but I certainly had addresses myself with the wrong balance shown on the blockexplorer.

Now anyone with surplus coins parked on the exchange can head across to coinwallet and earn staked coins if they dont want to run the XBC client.

Symbol: XBC
Algo: X13 Proof of Stake
Stake: 10% annually(This can be adjusted by community consensus at a later stage to match a determined rate of inflation)
PoS Maturity: 24 hours
Block Time: 60 Seconds
Transaction Confirmation: 4 Blocks
Staked Coins Confirmation: 50 blocks
Total Supply=80K coins(Growing at rate of mined/staked/minted coins through autonomous POS system so wallet users stake and mine new coins into existence in a sustainable manner) {Dated May 20th 2015}

BIP66:
Imported from the Bitcoin project. This is designed to stop transaction malleability, where someone could put a malicious block into the blockchain, potentially creating a double spend.

New GUI styles:
As you can see the new Bitcoinplus wallet includes new styles, making the user experience more enjoyable

Security:
Many new enhancements such as block timestamp tightening, will ensure the stability and security of the network. All the new updated wallets will only connect using the built in Tor proxy. This will also add further value to the inbuilt security within the wallet itself.

——————————
Messaging/Chat feature:

Your new wallet will have a more welcoming, modern and simple interface that is easy to use with all the usual features you would find on a normal email template.Your messaging will not work until the public key has been activated for your address.

Wallets
Please Follow the instructions below

Note*: In order to start using your new wallets heightened security features you will need to create a public key so open your wallet and go to  Help>Debug>Console

In the box enter the following command:  smsgscanchain  and wait until wallet returns the response: Scan Chain Completed    Then enter: smsggetpubkey "your receiving XBC address"

A compressed public key will now be active on the network. NB:You will need to do this for each new address you create in order to have that address work with any extra features.

Please don't leave the wallet console blurb at the top of the page, 9/10 people will glaze over and stop reading. Move it further down, lead in with something else.
