what is new in your wallet?

Hello raimch89

The upgraded wallet will have a fully automated anon client and is designed to be easy to make future changes to.The look will be slightly different due to the logo and maybe background but it is not the wallet that was the priority as it was the network itself and from what I am hearing we will be test driving a POS/POW hybrid infrastructure.

We are mulling over an extra feature for the wallet to see if it is possible to implement with this upgrade so between finishing up on the wallet and getting some strength into the network it is taking a bit longer than expected however good progress has been made with getting an agreement on dispersal of some coins through the use of vps and some of that has already begun using the test wallets.We are all on different timezones here so its a matter of coordination and concensus among those giving their time and resources for this purpose.

Not sure if anyone should try sending any coins anywhere yet.I have 14 connections on the new wallet and fully synced but the network is still being tested with coins being put on different nodes to see how best to make things work better I think.

Don't use your old/current wallets because the new wallet is a mandatory update meaning old wallets cant be relied on.Keep your wallet.dat backup and your private keys safe until there is an official link to the new wallet and ask for advice if you need it before setting up your new wallet although it should only be a matter of putting in the backup and maybe .conf file.

coinmarketcap havent even changed the logo from the last update either because the logo on the site is from maybe 2 years back.There is already your post on their thread so no point in repeating the same thing there I suppose.

The new wallet features:-

BIP66:
imported from the Bitcoin project. This is designed to stop transaction malleability, where someone could put a malicious block into the blockchain, potentially creating a double spend.

New Mining Phases:
The latest bitcoin plus network will include a new rewarded mining phase. Immediately available to all, this phase will reward new and old Proof of Work miners to bring more interest back onto the XBC network running up until block 114602, and will reward miners 0.3 XBC per block. For a period of time after this block PoW mining will still be available at 0 coins reward per book to ensure the block chain keeps moving steadily, while the Proof Of Stake network weight increases.

New GUI styles:
As you can see the new Bitcoinplus wallet includes new styles, making the user experience more enjoyable

Security:
Many new enhancements such as block timestamp tightening, will ensure the stability and security of the network. A new Anonymous Tor only network. All the new wallets will only connect using the built in Tor proxy. This will help make your location un-traceable. To ensure your transactions stay anonymous, create a new address to send your coins form once you are running the new XBC wallet. Then any coins sent from that address will not be traceable from your IP address.

——————————

How to mine XBC:
1) Ensure you have a bitcoinplus.conf file configured for mining, here is an example file:
rpcuser=XBCuser0001
rpcpassword=kjblytfgre457tghjfyuytfghjkj   (Ensure this is a strong password)
server=1
rpcport=12319    (You can change this to any RPC port you wish to send your having power at)
2) Now set up your CPU or GPU X13 miner and point it to mine locally against this wallet with the details you have configure in the bitcoinplus.conf file
3) Or simply use a pool to mine XBC against.

New wallet looks good and those colors and logos are 1000% better.The whole package makes you actually look forward to opening and using it.The last wallet looked a bit bleak and too utilitarian.We can now add or subtract to this platform I suppose.You will notice my signature forecasted the new colors Wink
