And credit should go to Pakistan, they got lucky and won the match. In sports betting also we need the luck to win our bet, this is the best example. Pakistan had good luck, so they won this losing match. Lankan bowlers bowled well, but the fielders not filed well this cost is now they are out from this tournament. I never expected that Pakistan would come semifinals. So they will play semis against home team England. Semifinal matches b/w India vs Bangladesh, England vs Pakistan. 3 Asian teams are qualified to semifinals it's great. |

Pakistan won the match by Sri Lanka played poor cricket, basically Sri Lanka didn't play well in any format, not batting, not bowling and not even Fielding...this is so disappointing for the Sri Lanka cricket fans... |

We can also say that Pakistan team always try to give surprises to everyone just like today in the middle when they started to lose wickets in the last this partnership gave win for them. Sri Lanka played poor in batting and in bowling in middle overs they were good but as you said dropped catches gave them defeat So now three teams from south asia are in semifinal and if i am not wrong we can see final between India vs Pakistan. it will be superb final if it happened. |

Pakistan played really well to win the match and it was a really close match and Sarfraz Ahmed played a captains innings to take the team home while they were struggling at one point loosing wickets,Srilanka were pretty bad in the field as they dropped catches at crucial times and the partnership in the eight wicket was incredible. |

First of all congrats to Pakistan for the win, 2nd this is one heck of a tournament, it has already made me lose couple of hundred dollars as my third prediction in a row gets failed. Srilanka could have won this quite easily and i really feel bad for malinga.. Poor lad, 3 catches dropped on main stages. But it was just not their day. Any way the first semi final should be a pretty simple one. England knocking off Pakistan. I hope there are no more surprises in this tournament. We have had enough.

It is true that the entire tournament was filled with surprises,normally we used to watch one sided matches in the preliminary section or the initial days of the tournament but this time it was different,every team had their moments and we saw upset after upset on a daily basis,it was entertaining to say the least with uncertainty throughout the tournament ,if not for the couple of matches lost because of rain,the rest was entertainment . |

yes that is right that they dropped two important catches for Sarfaraz which could be the turning point, but in fact the bating line of Sri Lanka also failed. specially the main bating order. if they were succeeded to cross 270 then they could really give tough time to Pakistan, but Pakistan bowling really played very well and restrict Sri Lanskan below 250. |

Congrats to Pakistan on winning and making it through to the semi finals where they will face England. Pakistan bowled well to get all the Sri Lankan batsman out and restrict them to a moderate score which Pakistan were able to chase down thanks to some poor fielding by Sri Lanka or else the match could of went the other way. I think it will be an England V India final but as this tournament has given us some surprises I wouldn't be surprised to see Bangladesh or Pakistan make the final.

They are in the team because on the merit of their performance and they are not having the bench strength to remove a change an established batsmen,they are having a talent pool of bowlers but they lack that kind of depth in batting,they need to nurture future talents,so that they can be replaced when a senior player retires. |

Pakistan seem to have Lady Luck smiling on them. This was Sri Lanka's game but the poor fielding gave it away. Given that they are the eighth ranked ODI team, Pakistan should be happy to have reached the semi-finals. |

The main issue with Pakistan team is consistency because they will be good in one match and immediate next match their performance will be totally opposite. Also, as you said they got good bowlers but batsman needs to build good partnerships to win the matches against strong teams. Next match is against England and it will be a really big text for this team to prove that they are a strong team or not. The two semifinal matches are India vs Bangladesh and England vs Pakistan. Which two teams can reach to finals? Any guessing? |

I am looking India and Pakistan in finals of champions trophy as it won't be difficult for india to defeat bangladesh and if fortune favors the pakistan then they can defeat england and that will take us to grand finale.
