I dont think so bitcoin is just in the internet,, internet money like.. dollar is hard money that can use every time,,, it is a cash you know not like bitcoin that need a transaction to send some money. and also dollar is more popular than bitcoin many people doesn't know about bitcoin so that it can't replace the dollar.

The government will never allow that since everyone knows about the dollar, while not that much people know about bitcoin and it's also limited and can fluctuate way to quickly, the government wouldn't like their dollar going up or down by hundreds every day, that's way too insecure.

Being realistic I understand that the dollar has its own place in the economy which cannot be that easily mitigated by the Bitcoin which have many flaws. The Bitcoin is the new financial system, with a number of flaws which can be neglected by the individuals, but not by the institutions.

Yes bitcoin for internet but you have to know that in any place where international business exist internet also exist and like dollar we can also use bitcoin at any place and the transactions of bitcoin is also very convenient like dollar or we will say that bitcoin transactions are more convenient than dollar.

Bitcoin is not going to replace the dollar, I agree though I am pretty sure that the whole Bitcoin project will bring more recognition to how the dollar advances in the payment area. Once there is a system in place that allows people to spend money without waiting for a confirmed transaction then the dollar will get more noticed as a dangerous thing.

I don't think it will happen. The volume of USD is massive and also USD can be used both in foreign currency and for daily living regardless if we are online or not. But in bitcoin, it can just be used online so I doubt that all people can use it.

Bitcoin is not a foreign currency but it is an international currency and it is a decentralized currency so no one is the central owner of this currency and in this thread we are talking about dollar because now dollar is used for international deals and it is thought that in the future people will like to use bitcoin as its demand is already very high for international use.

Bitcoin is a new currencie around and even with a huge potencial wont replace anything, we do see some coins being supporting transactions made with fiat, but even knowing crypto coins market value being huge, there is no way to bitcoin replace any currencie, and when we talk dollars we are dreaming with replacing the most trusted and used currencie worldwide, when bitcoin is used by a few people just.

Yes it will never be happen. Bitcoin is just under the fiat. It cannot replace what real money can do. It will just help you to have a fiat with your bitcoin because you can convert it. But that is not true that it can replaced dollar.

Hope the digital currency network will make a big change in the entire financial system, but this won't make the path for replacement of dollar. I think one day, in the far future, cryptos will replace fiat comletely, but probably we won't see it during our life time. People are slow to realize what is better for them and they usually stick to what they know for a long time, like fiat for example.

For me i think crypto will not replace fiat because coin the price is not stable you do not know if the coin live long or they die now. Even the price of bitcoin is very high I think it is not the reason to replace dollars. Because the dollars will live more century for sure unlike bitcoin anytime thay have possible they die. So bitcoin replace dollars is very impossible to happen real life.

Bitcoin will probably not replace the US dollar anytime soon. The Dollar is a inflationary currency printed by  banks . Every dollar printed is literally debt borrowed from  bankers. Because bitcoin is decentralized, the FED will do anything it can to ensure that the US Dollar is never superseded. They have to keep making their enormous profits.

Soon is not the right word, because although it can, it will take dozens, or even hundreds of years. If bitcoin can survive that long, maybe bitcoin will exceed the dollar, or even exceed it. But as you say, but not 100%

I think that some countries have already taken a step towards replacing their national currency with bitcoins. Maybe in those countries, gdet already legalized bitcoin, he will be able to replace the currency
