I see bitcoins and altcoins acting as a parallel economy where some people will only accept coins or tokens instead of money for tax purposes. I see governments getting more tyrannical and it is only a matter of time before a major event restricts our freedom of movement and the circulation of currency.

Not only the taxes but also the bullshit high fees on fiat transactions. Bitcoin will be become more of a neutral and standard international currency if China, Russia and allies remains strong and standstill against US and allies. This way US have not much options but to compete and won't act much as a tyrant.

I don't think Bitcoin can replace dollars just because there are people who are not tech savvy or just really old school, wants physical evidence that you have the actual amount of money and the agreed upon amount of USD is already that. I hope that bitcoin would be applied everywhere soon I just hope that it would come.
Indeed, dollar can't replace by bitcoin. As of now bitcoin community is continue growing however it is not enough to replace the dollar because there are some peolple or country are not accepting bitcoin as mode of payment. Yet, government will not allow this happen because they cannot control it. Bitcoin may replace Dollar, but it will take decades of time. And that is also not sure. I agree that Bitcoin is becoming very famous in a short time and slowly some countries are accepting this Bitcoin. Till now we see only countable countries accepted this Bitcoin. Still, we have lot's countries in this world, and all country must accept this Bitcoin then only it is possible. Do you think it is possible in short time? Bitcoin is easily breakable there is a bunch of people finding different flaws that Bitcoin has and been manipulating the whole Bitcoin Project. I am pretty sure that Bitcoin is not going to replace the dollar bill anytime soon because the people that are deep within the Government already know how to attack Bitcoin and make money or whatever from it. Having Bitcoin being used on a global scale would be a disaster for Bitcoin right now.

Not soon, not in the far future. I don't think bitcoin will replace any kind of currency. Never. First, the government wants control over the economy, so does the banks. With bitcoin, no one has control. Bitcoin may be more widely accepted around the world, but only has an optional way to pay.
Yes, good point. And I think there isn't a necessity to replace dollar. We can have all the currencies working very well, if people have the right to choose what currency to use, no problem. What can't exist are governments forbiding their people to adopt Crypto-Currency, that is wrong. Anyway, dollar is too strong and it will continue leading the world for much time yet, and I think there aren't disadvantages on it. For a stable and peaceful system of transactions we need a system of one currency if there will be all the currencies working together then everyone will want his own currency to be valued and will prefer his own so that will be dangerous for international finance while with one currency people will focus on their business and will remain in united form with peace.

Of course!!! within 3 years or so.
3 years? I know you are joking mate, that is not possible to happen and with that time range that is really a small amount of time and it is not going to happen for now. There would be changes from banking services but I really don't think it will happen very soon, maybe for the next 20-50 years it is possible.

Even with the success of Bitcoin and its price ever increasing, a decentralized currency will never replace a centralized currency created by the state itself and be recognized by the same state. I can only see Bitcoin if ever go to mainstream as an alternative to fiat currency. Besides Bitcoin is best being an alternative to fiat currency due to the nature of it .

No even how long we wait for that thing to happen it is still not happening because bitcoin will not replace dollar or any kind of fiat currency because it will be a very impossible thing to happen because bitcoin doesn't have unlimited supply and that is a very big problem for the people who uses dollar and also bitcoin is not stable so people who will use it as a primary currency will experience loss.

It's hard to imagine that bitcoin can replace dollar. People will do something about this when it happened, many investors are into forex trading, most of them are into dollars because of Trump's platform that will be good for their economy. But well, for us who are in bitcoin, it doesn't matter whether it will or not.

Most of the people know about dollar unlike bitcoin only few people know about it and it require internet connection to be access.
