I don't think so ! Dollar has already been part of the economy and it was created for a specific reasin I dont think that it will be abolished just because of Bitcoin! Implantation of Bitcoin as a currency is very hard because not everyone have an access to the internet and informing every citizen about Bitcoin will be a great challenge especially those people who are not familiar about the technology
The dollar standardizes trade that happens whether or not there is a dollar. Trade happened long before fiat currency. Trade through barter is inefficient. A currency allows for a standardized value to be used as a medium of exchange, and it serves as a stable store of value. Currently, bitcoin is not a stable store of value because the value fluctuates so much and so quickly. It is the largest barrier to bitcoin being a usable, mass-adopted currency. |

I can not see any reason why Bitcoin should take the place of the Dollar. Now the dollar is moving in very good shape, one of the important functions of the markets. Bitcoin does not have a central authority, so the support of the people here plays a very important role or it is not accepted in bitcoin.
We can say that even most people can use bitcoin even if it is difficult to use. That's why the dollar will always stay.

I think not soon, but in believe that in the next 10 years will happen alot.
So after that 10 years i think, that a world currency that everyone can easy buy
will dominate the finance sector and that will be bitcoin.

Fiat is even better when paying for illegal activities or simply staying anonymous. Take a dollar from your pocket. You don't know who are the past people or hands that held that money. Now, look at the transaction link of your the recent bitcoins that you received. You can see the address of the previous owners. Click at the address, and you'll see where did that bitcoin came from, and so on and so on.. You can trace people that use bitcoin if they didn't do any measure to make themselves anonymous but in fiat, there's not much effort to be done to keep yourself anonymous at all. |

The reason is bitcoin was made as an alternative to gold which everyone knows. But what people are not aware about is to make something expensive or maybe gold alternative it should be unique, for that the bitcoin system has been set in a way that the maximum bitcoins allowed to be mine is 21 million that means after 21 million bitcoins are mined the only way to get bitcoin is to purchase. So if it is used as currency there can be a huge shortage in the supply of it. |

Yup. If we are going to compare it as it is. But even if we look at it on different sides, still, dollar/fiat still possess power, much stronger than bitcoin. Not just by the number it has, but dollar is already established and known by people and a legal tender distributed by the authorities. While bitcoin is not, so the chance that those people who uses dollar to switch to bitcoin is still small, unless those authorities, legally spreading bitcoin to their people. |

Bitcoin and dollar have their own value. As stated in the above quote bitcoin is slowly getting popularity, dollar has already got it. Important thing is that bitcoin is very small in capital compared to dollar. So replacing will never take place, as an alternative would continue to grow along with dollar. |

Agreed virtual and digital currency can't replace the most powerful money on this earth no one can replace dollar even other currency i know that bitcoin is used just to invest or to grow money from internet nor another activities but physical money are used to buy physical things know the big difference. well I think no one can argue that fiat's importance dwarfs that of bitcoin or any other currency right now. and with how society and markets are set up, i don't think there won't be any significant change that would happen anytime soon. crypto can give us a lot of benefits for saving, investing and sending money but fiat is where the market works around so it don't think it would be replaced |

yes that is a fact that it is not so easy for bitcoin to replace Dollar. bitcoin is very new and it require a long long time to become nature. may be it will take more than 50 year or next 2 generation to over come dollar or any other fiat currency. i think people are now taking interest in bitcoin and investing their assets here and specially the new generation who are more interested in online currency. |

yes i also agree with you. i also do not think that bitcoin can replace dollar, but in fact if the users of bitcoin will continuously increase i am sure that it will certainly reduce the use of Dollar, because people will then take interest in bitcoin instead of Dollar. so it may take decades when people will give preference to bitcoin. |
