If you are asking me if I'am positive about bitcoin? Of course I'am. Im believing that bitcoin has a big future a head especially in digital currency. The value of it is continue to grow in the market. But even if bitcoin has a potential in the digital market, I dont think that it can replace dollar in the near future. I dont think that the government will allow that to happen. Real society and digital community are two different world that can't be compare. |

it’s not going to replace the dollar. it will serve as a complement to fiat currencies or alternative to the gold. Although digital currency is slowly growing in popularity but they have many problems in it that make slow adoption Although the bitcoin adoption is slow but bitcoin has good popularity in some big countries. It is not impossible to other currency to replace dollar.This is bad year for dollar, the price is down 11% against euro, 5% against pound sterling and 6% against yen. It looks like the dollar is starting to lose its enthusiast. Many countries save dollar as reserve currency because those countries believe that USA is the strongest country which can keep their currency stable, that Is the reason why dollar is become the international currency. |

I agree to people above. Not in the near future (aka 15-20 years). It's hard to predict anything beyond this threshold. At least because we don't know when A.I. will be developed. I really don't see a need in looking more than 20 years ahead, because of uncertainty that comes from probability of creating self-aware A.I.
But in the next years all central banks will try to resist cryptorevolution. Ban ICO's, outlaw crypto, introduce national pseudo-crypto money etc. But people will still use true decentralised cryptos. Im strongly confident that in the next 5 years crypto-market will skyrocket to 1 trillion as soon as lots of projects that is on ICO stage or being developed and coded right now, will work at full scale and provide amazing benefits to all users.
If do not take AI factor in concideration, then i'll say that eventually the world will decentralize and dollar can lose its dominant position. You know it is actually sad when you live in a country where national currency has dropped to a dollar by a factor of 13 in 20 years... Cryptorevolution will mostly be supported by a countries like mine, with very weak economy and currency... And because this kind of countries is a majority in the world i have no doubts in a successfulness of cryptomoney.

With Bitcoin you never know because fewer people are holding big capital. Similar to the banks and when they decide to monetize their bitcoin, everything goes down. Every day there is at least one new currency that has been changed and it is only a matter of time when some of these virtual currency will take over the market. Everything is possible with bitcoint.

I don’t think that the US government will allow bitcoin to replace their currency. This is the United States we are talking about. They are one of the most powerful countries in the world, so I doubt that they will give in that easy. |

No not soon maybe after 50 years. People still trust euro's and dollars. They will still use it because they fully trust it. I trust euro and dollar also so it will be difficult for people to step over.
I think i will use euro and bitcoin at the same time. I don't want it to replace our currency.
I agree with you and I think bitcoin is growing, so I'm investing money into it. |

News today are not affected by bitcoins and maybe if that is true then all of the country will complain about that because bitcoins is not stable and not everyone can earn bitcoins. There are so many companies that started with a currency of dollars or their fiat and it is not possible to convert it immediately. |

In my own opinion changing the currency of a country is very impossible since everyone is using fiat and they use it in their daily life style. It will be a huge debate for different countries if they will replace the dollars immediately. |

I don't think Bitcoin will ever replace the dollar or euro. One of the facts is that it's price is very volatile. But I do think that it will become mainstream one day. Roll Eyes

Nope! I don't think that is gonna happen in the future or the government allow that to happen. And besides we undeniably need fiat money right? Decentralized asset is different from centralized ones that is controlled created by government. Maybe the best thing we can do is to have them balanced. I mean it is better to have both assets than just one. The government may prohibit cryptocurrency but crypto community can't do the same to fiat money. It maybe accepted by governments but not to really replace fiat totally. Yes I am positive towards Bitcoin's future status because it is the best investment I ever had and I know that we will be millionaires in the near future through Bitcoin. |

I don't think so bitcoin is cryptocurrency if it will replace USD how come those people who is not using internet or literate enough to use bitcoin for their daily transactions? I believe bitcoin can became one of the major currency in the market, it's getting more popular now and there are more number of users added from time to time but to replace USD that would be impossible.

Unlikely. The value of Bitcoin maybe be higher per dollar, but it's unlikely for it to replace the existence of the dollar / fiat money. The dollar or fiat money in general is still very widely used and very hard to deprecate.

It is very good question. For sure in the next few years the digital money will have huge part of this markt. Now we use credit cards and make some transfers but everythink is mercenary. In bitcoin people (or other crypto currency) users would have much faster transactions, money increase because crypto is way much cheaper.

I don't think so. Dollar is dollar and I bet it's hard to replace it. If bitcoin's value will increase more than what we expect for years maybe it will be possible. But i think it will take years to surpass it. Bitcoin is decentralized so it would be hard for government to monitor it's growth, which would be unfavorable for them. |
