The German Teams Werder Bremen as Frankfurt and Leverkusen announced that there is no infected players on there teams .
Also at Dortmund it looks like there is nobody infected. The 2-3 players from Colonge that are positive got no contact to the other team members they have written.
Also there is today a second test on this teams and lets hope that there is no new infection.

The problem will be when a player getting infected and it effects the playing against other teams.
This would bring some chaos to the whole league again , dont know how they would handle all that.
Or what there Emergency plan is when some kind of things happens , crazy times .

This is the same doubt I have if 1 player will be find infected they need to put in quarantine 2 teams of players plus every single person near them.


This should be different from the 1st time we got cases since they now should use blood tests and they can do quickly probably by the team themself for a very cheap price (for them).

It means that all teams must make a statement about the test about Covid-19 not to be infected so that this can start the match, if all is negative then I'm sure the match will be speeded up and started immediately.

I hope that the current test phase is not infected and all is well.

What if for example 2 teams will be stopped when they are missing 3 games, what they will do then?

That is the main issue imo. Once you have one single person testing positive, this whole construct will implode imo, because of this rather long incubation period and the possibility of being asymptomatic with this virus. You only have like 6 weeks at best to finish the season and if one or more teams have to go into quarantine for 14 days, this won't play out no more.

It could end in an embarrassing disaster for the DFL, but still worth to give it a shot imo, if certain institutions insist on contracts being fulfilled at any costs.

A solution where all involved parties (clubs, sponsors, TV broadcasters, government) could find a mutual agreement would still be the most reasonable one, but what can you do, money makes the world go round.

I wonder how the players of Team A would react when a player of Team B tested positive for Covid-19 and is now in quarantine.  Personally, I would not know if I would play the game with full mental capacity.

The German DFL has just announced that there were ten positive Covid-19 tests in the 1. Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga. More than 1724 persons were tested (players, trainers, staff etc.). Three persons were tested positive at 1. FC Köln. The DFL made no statements about at which clubs the remaining seven cases occurred.

The German magazine Kicker is reporting on the topic:

Die DFL hat bekanntgegeben, dass die erste Testreihe unter den 36 Profiklubs insgesamt zehn Infektionsfälle ergeben hat. Zuvor hatte die DFL einen Maulkorb für die Klubs verhängt.
Insgesamt seien bei allen Erst- und Zweitligisten 1.724 Corona-Tests durchgeführt worden - unter Spielern, Trainern, Physiotherapeuten und weiterem Mannschaftspersonal. Der 1. FC Köln hatte am Freitag drei positive Fälle gemeldet. Welche Klubs die restlichen sieben betreffen, teilte die DFL nicht mit.

That could be a blow to the proposed resumption, I also read that there would be a second round of tests to be carried out this week, should there be another series of positive cases, then I'm afraid they might decide take another chill pill towards resuming the league on the 23rd of May.

Kalou has been suspended by Hertha Berlin, as reported by Goal.com, I suppose the next series of result will be of vital importance as to whether the league will get resumed, if this act hasn't already mess things up any further.

Hertha's statement continued: "With his 'Coronavirus singing', Salomon Kalou gave the impression that he was not aware of the extent of the Corona pandemic.

"Salomon Kalou violated fundamental team internal rules and showed behaviour that is neither appropriate to the situation nor corresponds to the rules of conduct of the club. Hertha BSC has therefore decided to suspend it from training and game operations with immediate effect."

Kalou himself offered an apology to the club and stressed that he is concerned about the coronavirus pandemic.

I guess the know exactly why they dont doing some kind statements about that !
And maybe that can be a reason that the German League dont starts as expected.

This can't happen. But this is exactly the kind of situation that will lead to discussion. People say: But he does it too, it's not all that bad and so on. And then the measures are no longer seen as necessary and people become negligent.
I wonder whether those players have really understood the important role they play as role models in society.

So I had read that in Germany they did 1700ish tests on every person linked to the teams of 1st and second division and found 10 positive cases.

3 from the old cases and 7 without a name, those people have been locked days ago.
They also did a second test and no one found positive.

I've also read that they will need around 20k tests till the and of the season with a weight of around 1% of the resources "stolen" from hospitals.

The decision if ending or not the season should be taken in 48 hours.

In the news they say that already 3 teams have at least one player that is positive to coronavirus.
This has started to make them think again if they are going to restart the league or not.
If there are so many positive case they should not start it of course.

It's a good news for us, indeed. But iirc there are three players of FC Koeln test positive of Covid19 couple days ago. Perhaps the 15th is chosen, right 14 days after the time of those positive players announced. Maybe they could delay it, at least for one more week to get better and safer situation.

If it will be truly a resume for Bundesliga, it will a good thing for the league and for the other leagues in Europe. There are some big ones have not yet made their decisions but if Germany government allows Bundesliga to resume, I strongly believe other nations and leagues will react at the same pattern. The pattern of pandemic (outbreaks, curve-flattenings, etc.) are nearly the same for nations so for sport events I do expect same response pattern over national governments.

Bundesliga will announce their decision on 6th May about what they will do, It's basically dependent on the government's decision, Most of the pandits of this nation thinks they are going to follow the way what their Neighbour county has taken decision, France and Netherland both country suspended their all short of sport segment until September but Liga one announced their champion in this season and it's none other than Parish Saint Germain according to their standing of the point table, Many of them thinks Bundesliga will follow the path of French Football and Bayern Munich will set their crown as so. As expected. What he did was pretty dumb, tbh.

There are 2 new infected players from Gladbach now but they dont have written any names what players are infected!
Also Dynamo Dresden and Erzgebirge Aue has some infected players on there team.

From what I've been reading, those cases are not exactly new. They're part of the 10 covid19 cases that the Bundesliga confirmed yesterday. We just didn't know which teams exactly had those cases (except for Koln).

Btw, Kicker published an article about Gladbach and how they went for another covid19 test round and it seems like everyone tested negative[1]
