in my understanding between top teams like Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Leipzig these three teams have always been closer in the last 3 years but Bayern Munich has always topped the standings in this bundesliga even though it is clear that several seasons Dortmund has also been closer to Bayern Munich and Leipzig have also come close to Munich's points but all of them have failed to top the bundesliga standings.

I thought at first that this must be a joke because this isn't really the standard route that players take who once transferred from Leipzig to Liverpool and he probably had quite a significant salary there as well. If I read correctly he is now going to get 1.5 million Euro and bonuses dependent on performance and achievements. But still this must be a huge step back for him financially.
